Disregard for disabled customers
May 23, 2025

I submitted a formal ADA complaint to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts on [insert date], citing accessibility violations on their website. Despite multiple notices and document submissions, I have received no substantive response. As a disabled user and Platinum-level Rewards member, I expected Wyndham to uphold its legal obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lack of action and accountability is disappointing and harmful to those of us who rely on accessible services. I will continue to pursue this matter through official federal channels, but I am sharing this so others are aware of how Wyndham handles civil rights complaints. I hope they choose to correct this.

We have been dragged through an absolute nightmare by Wyndham. We signed a timeshare contract with Wyndham and less than 24 hours later, we immediately contacted our representative to cancel. He assured us that cancellation would not be a problem but told us to wait because our account supposedly "needed to be set up" first. This turned out to be a blatant stalling tactic to push us past the rescission period. When we repeatedly followed up, the sales representative reassured us that everything was "being taken care of." Later, another representative informed us that there was no record of our cancellation request. Worse, he said our sales representative denied everything we had discussed and accused us of lying. When we finally reached the Owner Resolution Department, they demanded proof of a recording of our initial call with the representative. While I had recorded the call, it was later overwritten. Wyndham has refused to provide their own recordings, which could have easily proved my case. In desperation, we went to Wyndham's CEO and provided proof that we tried to cancel: text messages, call logs, and all communications showing we contacted our representative within 24 hours to cancel. Even with this evidence, Wyndham denied our request and offered a partial settlement for $6,400. That amount for something we tried to cancel immediately! This is unacceptable, and illegal! They even forced us to write letters stating we were not represented by a lawyer. This feels like an intimidation tactic meant to keep us powerless. I'm here to tell anyone who will listen that they operate fraudulently. Even if you try to cancel within the allowed time, they will keep you locked into your contract, regardless of proof. This company preys on trust and exploits confusion. Stay far away and warn others before they get trapped like we did.

Old name, new experience.

New pet fees are a surprise. We have never paid pet fees.
Unfinished remodel of elevator.
The ceiling panels are out of place and some are missing. The carpet trim is gone but dried glue on base of wall. And the elevator mechanisms sound tough.
(Charged for reservation change.
Liars!)
Don't charge a $100 refundable deposit. That sounds like legal trouble to me.
The beds have thin tin covers on the bases that sound like loud drums when you tap one with a foot etc.
Ah, the free breakfast! It is horrible with few choices. I can only relate the "scrambled" eggs? To digging out the side of a mountain with a shovel or backhoe. I was able to pick up the entire mass in one chunk. And the taste! Forget about swallowing that stuff. You will "Ralph" it up.
Another choice, the sausage, was spicy and looked unappealing. Customers who want spice can use the bottled stuff.
Once I had experienced the other disgusting fare, I opted out of tasting the b&g and had lost my appetite for a waffle I would have had to cook myself. And I won't use frozen butter pats on anything.
Remod. Of the dining area is nice.
Lastly, carpet has holes and stains.
Oh, I almost forgot; part of the piece of crap coffee maker was missing.

Finally, What if I was your only customer?

On January 25,2024 I cancelled a previous hotel reservation on www.wyndhamhotels.com and I am yet to receive the refund from the full amount deposit ($ 1,107.20) that was charged on my credit card upon reservation. The reservation was made on January 10,2024 using the same website for 4 nigths (Feb 15-19, Townhouse Hotel by Luxurban Hotels in Miami Beach, a chain of hotels associated with Wyndham). When booking I opted for the "WYNDHAM REWARDS MEMBER RATE, FLEXIBLE rate" which, according to the website: "Cancel 72 hours prior to 3 pm on the day of arrival to avoid 1 night charge plus applicable tax". After calling Wyndham Reservation Department on February 5 (i.e. About 10 days after cancellation) to enquire why I hadn't yet received any information regarding the refund of the amount charged on my credit card, I was told to call directly the property, which I did on the same day. At Townhouse Hotel they told me that all refunds were processed centrally by Luxurban Hotels and I was given an e-mail address to contact: *******@luxurbanhotels.com. I sent mails to the "Refunds Team" on February 5, March 7 and April 4 enquiring about the refund that was due. In their first reply on February 7, a Mrs. Alina C. Replied that refunds typically take up to 30 business days to process (Amazing!). In the reply to the March 7 mail, after the 30 business days since cancellation had
Expired, the same Alina C. Claimed that there was a "backlog" of refunds processing. The reply to my last mail (on April 4) informed me that they had "escalated" my refund request to their accounting department, and its processing would be prioritized. Fed up with the lame excuses for not refunding the money I was charged, on April 8 I called the Wyndham Customer Care Department to complain. I explained the situation and my case was registered under #*******. Since then I have received neither my refund nor any further information about the case. As I told the operator Mr. Jacey (?) during my call on April 8, as both the booking and the cancellation were made using Wyndham website, and my credit card was charged immediately after the reservation, I held Wyndham hotels as the main responsible for the delay in processing the refund. On April 26,2024 I send an e-mail reminding the Wynham Customer Care Department that my refund was still to be processed but I got no reply.

Wyndham Brand - a race to the bottom
April 20, 2024

At one time, Wyndham was a premium brand- NO MORE. Seems their corporate strategy was to buy up all the bottom feeding hotel chains and try to put lipstick on the pig. It doesn't work. On a recent business trip we stayed at Wyndham's Baymont, LaQuinta, Days Inn and a Microtel, and EVERY one of these places was a poorly managed DUMP. Disgusting accommodations, services and front desk personnel. I wouldn't stay at another Wyndham if it was my dead body in a free room. Please check the photos below for a current example of Wyndham standards. It's actually very sad because at one time Wyndham was a premier brand, I guess it was a race to the bottom, and Wyndham got there first. I mean, look at the pictures of our room...how can anyone be so oblivious to the falling ceilings, MOLD, filthy room fixtures, doors, and bodily fluid residue on the bedding. And yet they will give this to a guest and take money for it. Reprehensible is all one can say, but this is Wyndham TODAY.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
March 23, 2024

Their website and app both don't work, and their rude foreign "customer service" is the worst I have ever dealt with. I will NEVER book with a Wyndham hotel, and I suggest you don't either. I got hung up by some overseas call center after 25 minutes, bc she couldn't figure out how to honor the advertised 20% off since every time you click on "book now", it just makes you sign in over and over. I'll take my money elsewhere.

Terrible experience with Wyndham
March 1, 2024

The experience we had at Wyndham Resorts in Las Vegas turned into an utter nightmare. We lured in by a woman while walking through the property and were enticed to attend a Wyndham presentation in exchange for tickets to a show. Little did we know that this would turn into a four-hour meeting complete with high-pressure sales tactics and manipulation from their salespeople. Throughout the entire process, we were constantly pressured to purchase a timeshare, despite our repeated refusals. The tactics employed by their employees were deceptive and unethical. The fact that Wyndham needed 6 salespeople to harass us throughout the day should have been a big red flag that they wouldn't let up until we bought something, which unfortunately, we did. Throughout the presentation, false statements were made regarding the timeshare. We were misled about the maintenance fee, and told it was a fixed cost that would not change. Additionally, we were falsely informed that we could change the payment frequency from monthly to annually. The sales team also pitched the timeshare as an investment, claiming we could rent it out for extra income. These misrepresentations only served to further deceive and manipulate us into making an ill-informed decision we now deeply regret. It is clear to us now that we were taken advantage of due to our youth and inexperience. We trusted that Wyndham, as a reputable company, would act in an ethical and honest manner. Unfortunately, our experience has shattered that trust. We hope that Wyndham takes this matter seriously and takes steps to rectify the harm that has been done. We trust that you will address our concerns promptly and appropriately.

Horrible housekeeping
February 29, 2024

I stayed at the baymont inn and suites in Robinson illinois before my company rented space for our workers during the annual Marathon refinery shutdown. The room I stayed in was for 2 nights, it was decent enough the first night. The next morning before I left for work I asked the two ladies at the front desk if they had a conference room available for worker training, I was told yes by a very gruff and seemingly insensitive lady, she told a younger lady after this that it was now her shift and she needed to help me. The younger lady that seemed very mature for her age gave me a key card and told me that the conference room was in another building on the lower floor. So I went to where I was told the conference room was located and believe me, the photos I took do not do justice to what I saw and smelled in it. It was horrible there was food laying out molded, there was lady garments on the floor and in chairs. There was makeshift beds on the floor, toys and paint on the tables. It was filled with a horrible smell of body odor and trash. Needless to say I left the room to take another shower before going to work because it seemed to just stick with you. After work I returned to the front desk to return the key card given to me, I was greeted by a middle aged gentleman that was very professional and polite and whom I truly thought was the hotel manager until I read his name tag. I the returned to my room only to find the trash wasn't emptied and my towels hadn't been changed. I then returned to the front desk and spoke to the gentleman again, who offered to clean my room and change my bed linens and towels and wash cloths. This was possibly the best part of my stay, I didn't expect to be offered this kind of service from any employee after my previous encounter with the front desk staff. I did have him empty my trash and change my towels and wash cloths, which he seemed happy to do. The next morning before I left, I turned in my key to my room and was greeted by another middle aged man whose name tag stated he was the manager. It was very obvious that there was no sense in telling him my complaint, he seemed to be very complacent and non confrontational for guests or his staff. Needless to say neither myself or my company staff will be staying at this hotel. After thinking about this incident it's my belief that either this was due to staff, staff family or friends of staff members. I do believe if this was due to a guest they would be responsible for cleaning this room or charged for this incident.

Do not leave belongings in Kingston hotel rooms
February 7, 2024

Hotel is disgusting, terrible service. Hotel is literally falling apart. There is a member of there staff that entered our room and stole a bottle of expensive perfume. The hotel did not believe me and said that they "knew" their staff. The person in question that entered our room to clean it has worked for them for almost a year and they said that they didn't take the perfume. Hotel confirmed only one person entered our room while we were out. The bottle of perfume doesn't cover the cost we paid to stay at the hotel and there has been no offer to fix the issue only denial. A bunch of thief's at this hotel. I should also mention that our sink wouldn't drain in our room and the response I got for that was that they fixed it! Wow great service and great response to issues! Days inn in Kingston and Wyndham resorts are absolutely horrible and I would recommend every one avoid both brands and especially the Kingston location.

Cancellation/modification policy depends on hotel manager
January 6, 2024

We stayed at traveled in Spearfish SD and had to cancel last night due to bad weather coming in. We gave hotel 24 hrs notice on this change. Once we checked in the manager would not give us a credit for the last night. Buyer beware they have "whatever" cancellation policy. Look it up. Never had this lack of night's credit happen in our lives! Won't be staying at a Wyndham Hotel again.

Poor customer service and value
January 4, 2024

Baymont Hotel Evansville In. Location was great. Had a pleasant stayed there 5 years ago. Had reservations for 9/28/23-10/5/23. One look at the room and found it totally disgusting. Elevators were out so only using rooms on 1st floor. Bathroom ceiling paint and part of ceiling peeling away and hanging down, black mold (could actually scrape it off) around tub. Had Gregg come down to room, he looked at it and said why should that bother you, I see no problem. Other people don't complain. Beds looked slept in with just sheets pulled up. He showed us another room, no better. We spent the afternoon calling around and going to different hotels as this was the weekend of a marathon and just prior to fall festival. We found another hotel and went back to Baymont. He said we owed for that night because after checkout time and he did not have housekeeping to "clean" the room and rent it out for the night. After much going back and forth and him telling us we were rude the charges were taken off. Defintely does not conform to Wyndham's standards.Had also received a call the day before telling us their credit card machine not working and to bring cash. Unbelievable experience!
Read other reviews regarding this hotel. Pretty much say the same thing.

Zero is the rating they deserve!

Will never stay at a hotel linked to Wyndham again! We cancelled a reservation with a Mictrotel in MN. The GM allowed us to cancel but said we needed to call "corporate" which was Wyndhams customer service. The customer service rep never opened a "customer care" case and we were charged for the 3 nights 2 and half months later! It took us weeks to find out Wyndham dropped the hotel because they filed for bankruptcy but no one at Wyndham told us this or tried to help in any way. We now have to get our bank involved. Shady shady shady all they way around!

Don't fall for the free vacation!
December 1, 2023

Booked a 4 days/ 3 nights with Wyndham resort. Cost $149 plus listen to timeshare presentation.
Scheduled in fort Lauderdale and paid room taxes and fees...$98.00.
After reviewing itinerary...not resort...hotel room. Resorts have kitchens...not just coffee maker and small refrigerator. The find out I am responsible to get to the office site presentation. Decided to cancel. They wanted to charge me another $19.95 for canceling...don't sign up for this! It will end up costing you much more, you will have to listen to presentation and eat out every meal.

Recent experience with 3 Wyndham hotels, Red Roof,
November 13, 2023

My experience is that their hotels are run down, poorly managed, underpaid with poorly trained employees. Rooms are often dirty with beat up furniture, tvs and microwaves that do not operate. Sad to see old good brands such as Ramada and Sleep Inn lose their good reputation to Wyndham.

Vienna House in a Drug District, Not Safe
November 8, 2023

DANGEROUS, DRUG ADDICTED NEIGHBORHOOD! Do not stay or park anywhere near this Vienna House, Bremen, Germany. Our car window was smashed and the POLICE were not surprised, confirming this is a bad area for tourists or anyone. The Vienna House manager was informed about OPEN DRUG ABUSE WITH NEEDLES in the secured parking structurea and asked to call the police. The manager said "It is not my problem!" with no concern for our safety.

Wyndham Garden Inn Romulus DTW 9191 Wickham Romulus MI 48174
September 28, 2023

I stayed at the Wyndham Garden Inn in Romulus in Romulus MI 21-24 Sept. This place is way below Wyndham standers, I made a complaint and of course I got what I expected from the just lip serve from the General Manager. Not surprised one bit. I will never say at a Wyndham again.
