Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has 256 customer reviews and ranks 425th in the Hotels category. Common review topics include front desk, customer service, days inn.
The foreigners that have taking reservation need customer service training in my opinion. They also have to work on their speed. If Wyndham makes it difficult for customers to make reservations, customers will make fewer reservations.
Worst hotel experience in my life and I travel for work monthly. From the lady at front desk screaming at her kids while I was trying to check in. Teash everywhere one of the beds had grass and blood all over it the other bed has cigarette burns and " fabric softener stains " rat poop everywhere I was scared to touch anything. I instantly returned to front desk got a refund and left and will never again stay at one of your hotels. I would be ashamed if my name was on this hotel. So bad I will tell everyone I know not to use your hotels. Total bull$#*!
Horrible we had a meeting can you see the little girls in the back banning on the Prino turning flips in the lobby or better yet when you walk up to check in the smoking and I'm not talking cigarettes no food no pool nothing
I stayed at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham North Charleston (07/10/20-07/11/20) en route to visit family. It was "the worst" hotel experience in my entire life! The floor was filthy, feet blackened walking from bed to bathroom; towels dirty and grey; pillows unwashed & found pubic hairs in the sheets. In sum, it was the worst hotel experience of my life. I will "never" ever recommend a Wyndham hotel to anyone ever again, gross.
I literally slept in my clothes because I was so grossed out about it.

After spending a sleepless night in the hotel room at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in North Charleston, South Carolina, I summarily went to the front desk in the morning and wrote up my complaint. "No Managers" were available at the time!? Why "NOT"? Why were NO managers available?
In my entire, life I have never stayed in a more disgusting hotel room such as this one. It was filthy and gross.
On my trip to visit family, I also stayed at a Radisson and a Best Western and they were wonderful and clean and welcoming. This hotel was the exact opposite.
There were people smoking marijuana in the parking lot. It was more of a poor apartment complex than a hotel.
Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham is "NOT" fit for the public. If Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham was bulldozed, burned down, and rebuilt it may be an improvement--maybe?!?
Furthermore, I should also note, there was no water in the pool and there were frogs living in the pool and croaking happily. Well, at least the frogs were happy?! What hotel has frogs living in their pool?!?
There was no complimentary breakfast whatsoever. (And while I understand, COVID-19 virus is happening, there is no excuse for this. Other hotels I stayed at on my trip, a Best Western and Radisson, had take away breakfast!)
In sum, it was the worst hotel of my life! Really, it was. I have to think hard when it was I stayed in a worse hotel.
I should be given a full refund with explanation in regard to how dirty this hotel, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, truly was and why it allowed guests to stay in a room so dirty?!?
No guest should have the experience I had at this hotel, ever.
Honestly, I stayed at your hotel because of the" name of Wyndham" because" Wyndham Hotels" was supposed to mean something. I had stayed at Wyndham hotels in the past and they were excellent such as the Wyndham Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Now, however, because of my experience with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, the Wyndham name means "garbage" and "trash" to me.

Yes I had a visitor smoking OUTSIDE, BY designated smoking area, next to my room and 1 other, there was a complaint of smoke, and they are kicking me out. I was needing to stay till 7/6 due to a house fire.
Also I admit I was not in a designated spot for my dog [never told about an area-found out today there was a spot] and they are saying for that reason also being kicked out
Also, hotel being paid for by insurance [10 days so far] and for the past few days told by wyndham corporation [ yet another complaint- reference#available] there may have been price gouging.and this said by their corp.
I am an elderly, handicapped, cancer patient [starting chemo again tomorrow] and it's deplorable the treatment/stress
I am going to report to ADA re; violations, report to BBB, and see if ch 5 news wants to do a story [they love human interest stories]
Also going to speak with an ADA attorney for follow up.
Corporate already called.
The funny thing is this area is a well known hotel for over night illegal activities and illegal parties/drugs.
Sadly to say I know of these stories by my 22 yr old famy member
I booked a room on May 27th for my Anniversary, I was told that parking wasn't available because of Covid 19. We were advised to park adjacent to the building in a parking deck. I was never told that the parking lot closes at 9:00 pm. We arrived back to the hotel at 9:30, I advised the front desk that the lot was closed. She advised me to park on the street but we couldn't on Wednesday because the street sweeper comes between 3:00-6:00 am. I was then told, I am not sure what to tell you. I requested to speak with the Manager S. Johnson but was told to call in the a.m. I had no where to park myvehicle so I requested a refund and was told that will not happen. I had to find another Hotel on my Anniversary.
With everyone else deciding to give refunds for cancelled rooms/travel, Wyndham decided to only give credit for a future visit. My husband has cancer and is on chemotherapy daily. I explained this more than once. I guess they can't understand the risk and fear associated with travel at this time. We can't wait to use the funds, we need a refund now. I will never book a Wyndham reservation again. Heartless corporation!
NO FREE SHUTTLE! The website states that Baymont by Wyndham Florida Mall offers a shuttle to area attractions like SeaWorld and Disney. This is a lie! They call you a taxi which you then have to pay for. This cost us $25 each way for our trips to SeaWorld and Aquatica. We only chose this dump to save money on parking, and it wound up being much more expensive.
On to the hotel itself: very scary area, stained carpet, crummy AC in room, tiny old TV, broken tiles in bathroom, wonky ice machine, exposed wood beams holding up the breakfast room ceiling, a random sketchy "spa" on the main floor. The only high point is the breakfast waffles. The rest of the options are bread, plain bagels, Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops. In summary: don't stay here.
We stayed at the Ramada Viscount by Wyndham in Tucson, Arizona. This place has Bugs that bite, drains that do not drain and rooms not fit for homeless. Rooms not updated for at least 20 years. The room did not have the amenities that were on our reservation No decorations, no pictures, nothing. When you complain they move you to a room that is like the Ritz. Art work, plants, flat screen TV, mirror, Nice linens, on and on. Too bad they treat Wyndham Rewards and Time Share owners or any customer with such disrespect. Guess they did not like the discount Wyndham gives to their owners. Shame on them.
My husband and I have always stayed at La Quinta Inns whenever we travel because we were always happy with the reasonable rates and cleanliness of the rooms as well as the service. We found out that the one in Jacksonville Orange Park, FL (which we had stayed in before) was now a Baymont Inn, both of which are owned by Wyndham, so we thought it would be the same thing. Well we were traveling with our 3 small dogs and the website said "pet friendly", so we went ahead and made the reservation. What we didn't know and to our surprise, there was a $25.00 extra charge per dog (we hadn't traveled with our dogs in a long time so we didn't know if this was a standard). We thought a $25.00 extra charge and $5.00 extra for each additional dog would have been reasonable (after all the clean up is the same isn't it?), but what do we know? Anyway, we were put in what seemed to me the worst room in the building. The whole room smelled really bad, the doors looked like they were the original doors put in when the building was built (they were rotting on the bottom), which is a pretty long time, the bathroom door wouldn't close and when I went to use the toilet, I had to wipe the seat because it was wet (I don't know if it was because it was dirty or if the cleaning lady didn't dry it after cleaning). All in all the room was pretty shabby. I will never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone else.
If I could give this hotel 0 stars i would...
My husband and I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel...
On 8/3/17, I asked for my room to be cleaned by the lady at the front desk... four hours later after we returned, the room had not been cleaned... the lady said that we had our do not disturb sign on the door. I let her know that there was not a do not disturb sign on the door... and again she repeated that her staff said, that it was on the door... she took no responsibility for her staff not cleaning the room.
Today again I asked for my room to be cleaned... the lady at the front desk (someone else) said what is it about and I said I want to speak to the mgr... and again she asked and I said it was not any of her concern and she smirked at me... and laughed.
The mgr came and i told her 90 min later that my room had still not been cleaned and she smirked at me and laughed and said what do you want... it will eventually get cleaned... and I said i want it cleaned... when I asked the mgr to speak with her boss, she said she didn't have a boss and that she owned the hotel... and when i asked for the corporate number she said good luck and refused to give it to me...
The staff at this hotel are just like the mgr... and have the worst customer service of any hotel i have ever stayed. They are rude, and could care less about those who stay here...+
I contacted corporate and they are looking into the situation...
Stopped at 6pm oct 31 Monday 2016 and handed desk clerk my coupon from I 95 rest area. Smug desk clerk lady told me "No more coupons! All those rooms are taken!" I asked "How many coupon rooms are there?"
She said, "How am I supposed to know that?"
I said, "Because you work here."
"Okay. There's four coupon rooms. When they're gone they're gone!"
As I was leaving a couple was coming in holding the same coupon book as I was.
