Black mold in the room! This room should be shut down until fixed. Baymont by Wyndham in Flagg staff Arizona room #334. Offered a ten percent discount?! And hung up on repeatedly by Nate. And then threatened to have the police called on us! This is a health hazard! Then when complaining toWyndham customer care we were told to wait 5-7 day for a response. We have pictures and videos as well. This horrible customer service! Never going to book with anyone that's affiliated with this company. Great thing about social media is word spreads quick!
My wife is a travel nurse who was needed in Tacoma, Washington. We lived in Florida, and needed to pack up our two teenaged kids, two dogs, and whatever necessary belongings that we didn't put into storage, and drive across the country in two separate vehicles.
I had been booking various hotels for needed stopovers, along the way. One of those stops was at the Travelodge Wyndham in Grant's Pass, OR. I booked through a third party, and got a good deal for the hotel. When I got the confirmation email, I realized that I had booked for the same day of my search, rather than the following day, which was when my wife and kids would actually arrive at the hotel. I didn't realize that the date had defaulted to the same day, after I had searched different hotels on the third party site. I immediately tried to modify the date, and called the hotel directly. The front desk staff member who I spoke to was extremely rude, but directed me to the third party.
After waiting for a while for an agent on the third party site, their representative called the hotel and related that she, too, had been treated rudely, and that the Travelodge would need to modify the date and that I needed to call them, again. Again, the front desk was rude, when I asked to speak to the manager (who wasn't there), asked for someone in reservations (who wasn't there, and wouldn't be there for two days, despite this occurring on Friday afternoon), and asked for her name numerous times, and told that she refused to give her name.
I tried to contact Wyndham's customer care center several times; was disconnected two or three times, transferred to the wrong hotel's direct line (even though I don't even know where that hotel was), and finally reached someone, who told me that it was the local hotel's prerogative to modify a reservation.
Now, to be fair, I did book the night, knowing that I could not cancel. But I was only trying to modify, not cancel, and I had begun the attempt to change within minutes of receiving confirmation (although by the time that it took to actually speak to anyone, due to wait times and the back-and-forth between the hotel, third-party, and Wyndham's corporate office, the time had now stretched to an hour and a half.)
I understand that there is a 24 hour cancellation policy (which was impossible in my circumstance; having booked three hours prior to check-in), and I did agree to the terms of booking, but come on, not being allowed to modify within ten minutes, due to a mistake, and asking for a modification, not a cancellation, showed me that Wyndham (and definitely the local site hotel) were more concerned with bookings over customer satisfaction. After being treated so terribly by the desk clerk, I wouldn't have wanted to stay at that hotel, which I expressed to the customer care supervisor, to no avail.
Again, to be fair, each of the representatives with whom I spoke, were cordial and professional, but they had to follow corporate protocol. What I took from this experience, other than building aggravation, was that Wyndham was perfectly happy to take my money, regardless of my satisfaction with their policies or treatment at the local level. And, while the $100 or so that I lost is a trifle in comparison to what the corporation makes on a daily basis, a conglomeration of however many such trifles, no doubt pads the corporate pockets.
Needless to say, I will not book at a Wyndham hotel in the future, as a result of the rigid modification policies, poor customer service philosophies, and the knowledge that, despite the focus on the needs of first responders and the difficult financial situations that many of us face, due to the pandemic, Wyndham was not concerned with building a satisfied customer base, as long as they built they profits.
Stayed in room 306 at the Days Inn at 1600 N. W 114th St., Clive, IA *******. The room had such a foul Oder when we entered it. If I hadn't just driven 15 hours I would have requested my money back and left. Told the staff about it but seemed like they really didn't care. Contacted Wyndham customer service and they just requested the same information 4 times then replied with a dear John letter about how we need to contact the hotel directly. Something we did early on. Hard to believe that customer service wouldn't care about how a customer is serviced. 0 results
I recently stayed at the Travelodge in Lincoln, NH, a property owned by Wyndham Hotels. I booked directly through Wyndham Reservations and was charge $177.60 for a room with a single queen bed. When I arrived at the hotel, it was obviously dilapidated and run down. My room was HORRIBLE. I've attached some photos of a broken lamp, stained window shade, a jacuzzi sign in the bathroom (there was NO jacuzzi!), wreaked woodwork, and a view of the property from my window that looked like a slum. To boot, the room smelled like mold and antiseptic, burning my eyes, and the hotel did not provide breakfast, as was promised by the booking agent. The rating of "1" is not low enough for this place.
This place is a travesty and should be dropped by Wyndham. I was frankly horrified - I am a new Wyndham Rewards member, and had planned to make all my travel plans with Wyndham properties. I will never again assume a Wyndham property is worth its reputation.
Nicholas in Hurricane UT was awesome and took such good care of us. We came in late after working a 14hr day and our tv didn't work. He came up and tried to fix it but couldn't, so he put us in a different room and apologize for the inconvenience. That's the service every hotel needs
My kids and I have been staying here for 4 months and the staff has been amazing. They've become friends and family. Nick, Lina, and Serena have worked with me so much. And the rest of the staff as well. I've become good friends with all of them and they are sweet to my kids which is a big thing since we haven't had a home. Lynn, Josh, Justin, and Abigail are there in the evenings and overnights and they are all so welcoming and always there to help or just lend an ear when I need someone. They treat me like a person not a job and it makes the stay a lot easier.
I was disappointed with the quality and condition of the Hotel + my rooms dirty and stained furnishings and missing amenities such as a missing coffee/tea maker in my room., I called the desk on 3 occasions for the coffee maker that was not supplied or guaranteed amenities in my room and while on the telephone with the front desk was left on hold and possibly forgotten. The property was dirty and unkempt with garbage and cigarette butts and equal to some people around the hotel property site. The viewed ratings of 3/5-4/5 are wrong and equal to = 2/5
I *******@this particular hotel a few yrs ago & put a less than perfect review on TripAdvisor. The GM responded w/total lies about my stay & I was not aware of his response until recently. TA now will not allow me to respond to his lies but gave me instructions on how to delete & respond. I did as instructed & TA is still in denial about my post! Anyway, I requested a very early wake up call from the hotel which I NEVER got altho Marcos insisted I did! Doesn't he realize I would have known the call was made & would have awakened on time if in fact the hotel did what they were supposed to do? & then he lies again & tells his audience that the hotel shuttle transported us to the airport! Really Marcos?
I had my own car; did the shuttle carry two ghosts disguised as us? There wasn't even an employee in the lobby to complain to as we rushed out to make our flight! I would advise you find another hotel near Ft. Lauderdale airport & also not book w/Wyndham b/c they wouldn't even help me out! This is NOT how a company keeps loyal clients!
Upon entering the room we found marijuana on the table and a pill on the floor. There was feces in the toilet, food in the microwave, crumbs on the counter, blood on the bed and blood on the curtains! The manager had to come down and help us try to clean the room before we could even put our stuff in there. It was the most horrible experience I've ever had in my life I can't even believe It. Will never use them again! We stay at the one in Kill Devil Hills NC. The Travelodge. Very dirty. The man at the desk did get us another room but we list time moving and was late for a meeting... they didn't care about any inconvenience it caused us. no discount or anything given... just oh sorry! What is this world coming too!? Ppl just treat ya any way! I probably got Covid from that room!
I traveled often during my career which meant many hotel stays. Wyndham used to be a name synonymous with quality. They were right up there with Hilton. I'm sad to say that my stay at the Days Inn in Kingsport Tennessee this past weekend changed my mind about the pedestal I have had them on for so many years.
Your security measures are to strict, I recently purchased a new phone and I'm adding your app to my new phone and I've been a member since 2015, I have my platinum member card in my possession and because I can't remember my security questions you guys lock me out. I call your rewards app to get this sorted out and I give you all my personal information that you requested and then you ask me to tell you two places where I have stayed at your hotels and bear in mind I stayed last year, you think I'd remember when I stay at different hotels 10 months out of a year, I would assume with sending me an email to confirm my identity would suffice but no that's not enough for you guys Over at wyndham, it's worse than opening an account at a bank with your security measures, so now I'm stuck and not getting help because of the security questions which I am sure I lose all my points which in turn helps you guys out, since you won't have to redeem them, because of this issue.
Great job wyndham, customer assistance was not very helpful in finding a solution.
Room was filled with old dirty furniture! Service on front desk was unprofessional! Will never stay at a Wyndham hotel again! Troy, Michigan is terrible!
So my fiancé and I frequent Super 8 hotel in La Crosse WI on average of 2 -3 times per month being we live out of town and all of our affairs are handled in the bigger city. We always make our reservation by phone with Wyndham pay with our card in advance so there is no problems when we arrive. Doing such has made us elite members within the Wyndham program. Also to mention up and beyond us being Elite Wyndham members we also are former Marine Corp. Anyhow usually when we check in a younger gentleman is there to assist us he knows us by name and is always very through and gets us into our room without any problems. He makes us feel comfortable as if it's a home away from home. This time however we checked in with I would presume the owner or family of and he treated us as if we were Second rate citizens. Checking over our ids as if we had just printed them, studying my debit card as if I had stole it. Basically looking at us as if we were hoodlums off the street. Mind you again we stay at this establishment a lot. After check in took apron 15 min and he has finally given us our keys I ask for extra towels again as I always do and again he seems as if I've requested something uncalled for. He says like 2 towel and I say like 2 bath and wash clothes he kinda gives me the one over yet again and seemed aggravated I'd asked. Finally in our room my fiancé says he felt very uneasy and sorta disrespected as I agree with the way we were treated over all. Third shift gave way to a new person at the front desk who was very pleasant and talkative wish she had been who we checked in with. Unsure if we will return sad after all the time and money we have spent in that hotel.
I had the worst experience ever, from the night clerk who was playing video games on the company computer and being ignored for 5mins, he graciously let me in after hours when I could see him through the outside doors to him putting the phone down and saying I $#*!ing knew it? What you knew I'd interrupt your video games or that I actually had reservations, he put me in a room with the freeway outside my window due to how empty the motel was, I complained to corporate the next day, we had emails back and forth which was looking promising to rectify this stay but then I had went through Expedia and they washed their hands of taking responsibility to the lack of customer service... DONT EVER STAY AT ANY WINDAHM HOTELS! It to mention the customer service during the continental breakfast that was like a ghost town?
Upon check in 2 clerks not wearing masks in spite of sign posted stating masks are
Mandatory.
Clerk processed paperwork without wearing gloves and later that evening we requested extra
Pillows which came from clerk.
Again clerk not wearing gloves.
We called customer service who forwarded our concerns to the general
Manager who in turn sent us a response indicating her displeasure at us
And specifically accusing us of " disrespecting " her staff which was
Unbelievable and also untrue.
Again we called the supervisor in customer service and they
Couldn't care less and didn't know CDC guidelines for wearing
Gloves.
IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH AVOID THIS CHAIN

Stayed at Wingate by Wyndham - Chesapeake, VA 14-18 December. If you want a nice room for a good price, this place is for you. If you value Customer Service, stay as far away from here as possible. Upon checkout, I needed a copy of my Zero Balance Folio for business purposes. Since there was no one at the front desk when I departed at 4:30am, I called the hotel later that morning to request the document. After going round and round with the Manager about the difference between a receipt and a folio, the Manager told me "I'm only going to tell you this once; since you booked thru Priceline, I can't provide you anything". Really? I just dropped $300 at your hotel and you're only going to tell me this once? After numerous phone calls between Priceline (who couldn't care less about my folio. They just want their money) and Wyndham Customer Service, I finally got my folio emailed to me from the hotel. I have been traveling and staying in hotels for business for 30 years and I have never, ever had this issue or interacted with such a rude "Manager". I imagine I will travel for business for a few more decades, but never again will I darken the doorstep of Wyndham. Outrageous.
My wife booked a hotel room through a third party. She was told that she could have a late checkout. Wyndham would not honor that request. My wife was forced to sit in her car in a parking lot for 4 hours.
The adventure is just starting.
I called to inquire how Wyndham felt about that. It took about 10 phone calls. I was disconnected 3 times. No one ever called back. The final person I talked to said they felt no responsibility to honor that request.
It was such an upsetting experience for my wife and myself, that we will never stay again with Wyndham. They were so rude about the entire experience.
Never had an issue when Laquinta was a standalone brand, every since they merged with Wyndham there has been issue after issue. Last straw was this past weekend with stay at Microtel in Houma LA, since all hotels were booked by offshore companies they were the only hotel with vacancy. The room had no heat and the temp was in the low 50s. I asked the owners for a new room they said no because they were the only hotel with vacancies in the area. I requested a reduced rate and I go buy a portable heater they refused and said there are no other hotel I can stay at in the area and they will not work with me and they will have a technician look at it tomorrow when I check out. Called customer service and they said the property has 10 days to send them a resolution before they step in. They didn't have 10 days to take money out my account. I will know use another brand to stay instead of using wyndham as the only brand I used.
Very great place and will definitely stay again. The staff was very professional and kind. Also they allow pets and that is a major plus for us. Clean and comfortable rooms. Overall a great place to stay on vaction
Spiders in every corner MOLD on lamp cover, bed sham and shower curtain. Walls dirty with dead bugs.
