Traveling Romulus Mi. And Ocala Fl. Properties wete filthy and broken. Switched rooms 6 times. Management doing a horrible job.
Be careful when making reservation we got the call center we thought we were talking to the hotel. The call center got the wrong date 9/11/23. We wanted the 9/14/23 we found this out when we checked the confirmation number we called back within 10 minutes and canceled 9/11/23 and made reservaton for 9/14/23 they would not refund our money for 9/11/23 they would only give a voucher it wouldn't have been that difficult to do the right thing
I am getting charged a higher room rate than when I booked on your website. I was recently asked for a cash deposit of $50 on top of charging my credit card; this was refunded when I left. Also, observe strict rules of section 8 housing posted at hotels.
Whyndam don't tell you the following.
1. You will get charged a higher room rate than when you book on the Whyndam website.
2. You must have cash for a deposit; this will be refunded when you leave.
3. Follow guidelines for section 8 housing.
The elevator did not work the entire week + that I was there. The door to my room (228) would not close all the way. I had to lift it in order to close it. Housekeeping left it open one day after leaving, maybe not realizing it was that way. There was no trash can either. The room itself was nice, except for the door issue.
I am discovery client for Wyndham resort. I bought this package for my honeymoon.
This package cost us for 3k. It was before the pandemic and of course, with travel restrictions, I tried to extend the package for 2 years. And they don't want to refund the money finally in 2022 they don't want to deal with the issue. They don't want to extend anymore and give us a voucher worth 600 for that. What a BS and at least give us something that's worth more at least we won't feel bad.
So regret purchased this terrible contract. Should have research this resort before hand. Now i literally check on reviews before going to the resort and thanks to Wyndham give this opportunity
The web site has photos of beautifully remodeled rooms. Not so. This place is so disgusting we checked in and out within hours. The room had spiders and roaches, holes in the walls, mold in the bathroom, rusted out air conditioners with filters clogged, particle board furniture from the 1980's that was broken and stained. The broken exterior door locks allowed all kinds of non paying people to roam freely. When I filed a complaint with Wyndham Corporate the response was not our problem, this is an independent franchise.
The place is clean, customer service was great. Edwin at the front desk was very helpful and pleasing. I would recommend this place and will be back.
Thank you… PC
We are Wyndham Rewards members. We stay at a lot of Wyndham hotels. We realize that there are better hotels within Wyndham but it doesn't seem to matter. Overall, the hotels are run down, do not deliver what is promised, have staff that is worn out and overworked. We get our rooms "free" with Wyndham Rewards but we are seriously thinking it's not worth it. We may go to a different credit card that gives us cash back so we don't have to deal with Wyndham. AND, here's a little tip, if you get that invitation to visit a Wyndham resort. RUN! They are horrible to their owners, fees keep increasing and little by little, they add expenses and take away points thinking we don't notice. The customer service at Wyndham is non existent. They have this thing called "Wyndham Cares" lol...here's a tip; they DON'T.
Call into hotel sent me over to 3rd party booking, more expensive! The hotel said they would correct price but did not, a $80 increase for one night. Called Wyndham several times always transferred to different departments and disconnected me. Last time Wyndham.
We booked two rooms we were told would cost us $148.96 plus tax each. Only to arrive at the hotel and be told it would actually be $299.99 plus tax. Double what we'd been quoted. After an hour at the reception, much of it on the phone with Wyndham's "Customer Care", it became clear the issue was with the Wyndham reservations call centre. The hotel people were actually pretty helpful and supportive. But it was made clear that we would have to pay the higher price and take up the issue with Wyndham later. Wyndham did in fact check their recording/call log from when we made the reservation and realized that we were correct -- the reservation quote had been for $148 per room. You would think that was the end of the matter and a refund would proceed. No. It took more than a month, six calls to Wyndham Customer Care (AKA CUSTOMER OBSTRUCTION) and many more emails, ever-evolving requests for further documentation from Wyndham and more. Each time I spoke with them they had a different explanation of how the refund would be processed and what additional documentation they required. I am guessing it was in the order 8 hours or more talking with them, being put on hold, having to dig up further information on credit card charges, etc. etc. Their story changed with each person I dealt with. There was a lot of blaming their colleagues I had dealt with earlier for giving me bad information. When it is all done, despite a positive experience with the hotel itself, a good stay and nothing but good vibes from the hotel manager down (Antoine, Marc, etc.). The experience with the reservation and with getting resolution from Wyndham "Customer Care" has left me sure that if I have a choice, I will never use Wyndham again. And I am a regular traveller. Wyndham's loss.
I have been a customer many times over the years. I want to share with you my experience on August 7th and 8th at your La Quinta property in Ventura California located at 5818 Valentine road. I found the property to be in dire need of heavy maintenance and cleaning. Walkways and railings were dirty and deteriorating; Obscenities were spray painted on the main entrance sign; Only the first floor ice machine was operational. The second and third floor machines were not; Broken air conditioners; Vandalism inside elevator; Very loud water hammer problem in the toilet plumbing; Bathroom mirror needs replacing.
I have to say I was very disappointed in the overall condition of this hotel. See attached photos.
I can't believe that this company is allowed to be publicly traded! Lies after lies when they try to sell you something. They will provide you dozens of papers with tiny details hidden between them and then they will rush you into signing those documents - you don't even get enough time to read through those dozens of papers. Once signed, that's when they will start finding ways to steal your money! That's the kind of SCAM business they are running. They stole about $4000 from us! I will never forget that!
We are on a vacation to the Canadian Maritimes. We booked the Microtel Wyndham in Summerside PEI a month in advance using a Visa Debit card for a 2 night stay to visit family. When we arrived, we were told that a 'real' credit card was required, even though we booked with the same card. We were treated dismissively and with contempt by the front desk, and by Wyndham customer service when we called. We were informed that no hotels in PEI booked rooms without credit cards. We left and got a hotel a couple of blocks away with the same card, so we were lied to as well Wyndham wrecks vacations.
Baymont hotel on sixth Avenue Golden Colorado needs to be closed! Room smells, smoky and musty, carpet is worn furniture is worn rooms are outdated. It's obviously that the current ownership of that hotel cares about their guests! And by the way, where is the elevator?.
If this is an example of Wyndham hotels, avoid them!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kirkland Lake. Even though I canceled my reservation on time and provided evidence of the cancellation, the hotel didn't process the refund promptly. The lack of communication and delay caused me inconvenience and financial stress.
Moreover, the customer care and central office displayed a shocking lack of concern and empathy towards my situation. They seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns, making the experience even worse.
As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment and respect. However, the hotel's handling of the situation left me deeply dissatisfied and disheartened.
I hope the hotel management takes my feedback seriously and works towards improving their customer service and refund processes to avoid similar issues in the future.
We were asked to leave and had to sleep outside because THEY didn't have hot water and didn't disclose that before taking my money, the toilet didn't flush at all, and my friend couldn't bring his bike in off the street so that it didn't get stolen BUT THE OWNER HAS A WHOLE MOTORCYCLE PARKED IN THE LOBBY AS IF IT WERE A GARAGE I'm assuming he doesn't want it stolen the place is a joke, staff is rude af, AND the place is dirty, dingy, and outdated, staff included.
RUN WHILE YOU CAN
No refrigerator or microwave, ice only at front desk, shower hung from ceiling so you can't adjust, $25 for parking to stay at hotel, rooftop bar unavailable to patrons because general public let in, front desk manager doesn't even ask how your stay was. They suck, stay somewhere else
The Mitchell, South Dakota Super 8 is infested with bedbugs. It is filthy, dingy and the staff is not friendly or helpful. The rooms smell. Disgusting.
Stayed in an AmericInn owned by Wyndham and it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would leave a negative star if I could. The manager was rarely available. The room had absolutely NO AMENITIES AT ALL. The no iron, hair dryer, shampoo, cream rinse, and dresser was not a real big deal. However, there was no dresser, no microwave, no coffee machine. The room was extremely warm when we arrived and did not get down to a comfortable temperature until about 11 pm. I have stayed at other Wyndham hotels/motels and they do not like spending any money on the hotels/motels. They obviously have no concern about the welfare of their customers. They are BAD
This review is for Ramada by Wyndham Angola/Fremont located in Angola, IN
We booked this hotel because of the Wyndham reputation.
This Ramada should not be associated with Wyndham in any way, shape, or form.
This was a horrible stay at Ramada in Angola, IN. If you are looking for a place that has pee stained mattresses, old decrepit air conditioning units, dirty carpets and unsanitary conditions throughout, you are in luck! I know just the place! The owners are so ingenious, they thought of all different ways to make your stay more interesting:
- a rather large bar hanging from the ceiling, conveniently located at eye level so you can bump your head into it as often as you like.
- holes in the shower curtain. Maybe used for venting the hot steam from the lukewarm water
- toilet placed at an angle from the wall, because why not?
- handprints all over the headboard. Just imagine how much illicit fun previous guests had while staying at this place!
- Room air conditioning was a rare vintage unit that was even more authentic with all its lovely rust spots.
For bonus points, neither of our 2 room cards did work on the last night there. We had to wait for about 15-20 minutes at 11:30 pm for the guy at the reception to reprogram our keys after being offered an explanation about the smart phones in our pockets causing this issue!
The couple that we were sharing the double room with 4 beds with, chose to stay elsewhere. We downgraded to a smaller room since it was now just the 2 of us. This hotel declined to refund us the difference between the double room with 4 beds and a normal room with 2 beds.
All in all, a LOVELY stay at Ramada by Wyndham!
