I contacted a NAPA auto repair shop to get an estimate on splicing a gas line that had a pinhole leak in it, because a new gas line was no longer available. The shop refused to give me a quote citing "safety concerns". They said they would not do it.
Then, my question is why does NAPA sell kits retail to splice/repair leaking gas lines, yet refuse to do the job?
Are they selling a product that is unsafe?
Very disappointed with napaonline.com. I've had orders just canceled with no email or contact from them at all. Sitting here waiting for the order and it never came. No response from support after contacting them about this issue. Would not recommend napaonline.com.
I work at a automotive shop and understand about core charges. Basically the core will be returned for credit and you will be refunded. However Napa said they are repurchasing the core from you and will not credit your GST and provincial sales tax. That is 12% what if hundred dollar of cores. They say is normal. I sell auto parts and We refund the taxes on cores. Images how much they charging their retail in taxes thousand of dollars plus they are probable claiming the input tax credit from revenue Canada as they do not separate the cores.
I have been a loyal Napa customer for over 25 years as a commercial customer. I am finding the prices I am getting as a commercial shop are outrageous. For example I stopped by last week to pick up a 50 foot box of 3/4" silicone heater hoses. Of course they did not have any in stock they would have to order it. I was quoted over $16.00 per foot. The local semitruck dealers sell it for $4 per foot. Aftermarket oil and fuel filters at my shop cost are 15% to 35% higher than OEM brand filters.
Quality is getting horrible. I had a 39MT starter for a Peterbilt fail after 1 day. GM power steering hoses fail at 13 months, 1 month out of warranty. And don't get me started on their Dorman brand junk parts that rarely ever fit right. I found a cheap crap Chinese gas filter for a Cadillac in their Gold box, yes it leaked! I can go on. Napa is becoming a big disappointment.
I was looking to get 12 qts of Castrol 5w-50. Napa has a google ad for $6.89 per qt but when you click on it the NAPA website says $12.49
Napa back here in Mattoon than you for returning. The employees are super helpful &kind. Military Discount
I was informed that they don't scan for codes anymore. Gee, I guess I won't buy what I need there anymore.
Thank you so much for your outstanding customer service skills you went above and beyond for me and my family and I can't thank you enough for your extra hand
Ordered an ignition coil for in store pick-up. Get there, part not there. Come back and pick up part. Get home, wrong part, even though I put the make, model and year in when I ordered. Call up, told right part was in store all along but almost three times the cost. Bait and switch. P
Twice now I've tried to get napa rebates. I received the two cards which were supposed to be worth $20.00 apiece. After registering them online the website didn't give me any sort of pin number, so I wasn't able to use them at all. I tried to contact this website, but no response back. After being faithful to napa for decades this is very discouraging to have these so called wonderful rebates impossible to use.
Not happy I need to part asap and online I would get part in 3 days ordered on Thursday and on Saturday but nope I have to wait till Monday! Online lies! So I'm with out a car till then I won't order from Napa again!
Well all the good things you might have heard is a lie. This company is a waste of time. They only pay the people that don't know how the job works, especially there ceo!
I ordered 4 items online in May. 3 were delivered to my house, but 1 was shipped to a NAPA store in Houston. I don't know why, since I live in Virginia. Several emails and phone calls later, unable to get resolved. Customer support phone calls were very staticky and personnel (India?) were useless. It's now August. I paid for 4, but got 3. I'll never order from these idiots again.
I purchased a car battery from NAPA (I should have known better, I know). I called to ask them what the battery's Ah (amp per hour) is. Very basic question, right? The guy had no idea. He said that he'll transfer me to the technical support department. I had a feeling that he's going to disconnect the call, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I asked him "are they working now?"
He said "yes". He transferred me. What do you think? Did they work after he transferred me?
Of course not... I should have Googled NAPA before purchasing... that's on me!
ALWAYS Google before buying, ALWAYS!
Employee has a bad morning takes it out on customer. Customer calls him out on it and customer becomes the bad guy. Bad customer
Bought CV axle online. When I received the part it came broken grease everywhere and balls running around the box. Called customer service to explain my misfortune and was told to. Contact local store which I did for replacement and was informed there that because the part was out of state that I would have to pay freight of $31 dollars to get the replacement. I blew up then and. Told the employees there why would I pay anything for a part that I got damaged it doesn't even make sense. So I still have the defective part and now waiting on a return label to mail out the defective part and get my money back. First and last Napa experience.
I've been waiting eight days on the missing part. I Got a notification by email that the order was complete but I'm still waiting on one Part. Three calls to NAPA online and their response is just wait and we will call the warehouse. New tracking number was assigned and still no shipment. Email communication on website is broken says I need to put phone number in correct format, I tried every format that I know and it would not accept my phone number, very poor customer service and I suspect they don't have the part in stock and failed to notify me after 8 days
I have bought other short lived batteries from them, but the last one will truly be the last one. I even bought their 'suggested' NAPA battery tender on the last one and the battery made it 9 months. A sealed battery with 5 dry cells dry and they tried to say I may have had it or stored it on its side. Friggin really. Horrible people skills and less than quality products in my humble opinion, and people that won't honor their own warranty..
Ordered on-line, parts were in stock so I waited for the ready to pick up notice. 5 hours later I decided to call, I was asked by sales person if I got a notification e-mail. (Why would I call if I got notified) so I said no I haven't. Sales person said then it wasn't ready and I would be notified when it was. I explained how it was taking a long time and he said that maybe she was waiting on delivery. So I told him to cancel order. Then he asked what was the order # and I told him. He said he had them in stock and I could come and pick up. Jumped in car, drove down to store not a single customer in store except me while there were at least 4 people working. The salesman was very nice and apologetic claimed he did not know why she did not pull it sooner, then thanked me for my business as I left with my parts, whole day lost to incompetency.
I went to NAPA in Ontario, OR and bought a gallon of antifreeze. The price showed 16.99. When I went to pay for it, it rang up 17.99. The store would not make it correct and I was just told sorry about that. I will never go to another NAPA again.
Answer: A very legit company that has for decades treated me very well.
Answer: Fuel pump for classic roadrunner didn't last 50 miles. I suppose 'success' is lucky i didn't eat a $100 wrecker fee. It never started cold without primer until i replaced the new NAPA fuel pump with another new NAPA fuel pump. At least it starts easy now when cold. After doing job twice. The chevy truck has been yard art for two years, as i don't really have time to do every job repeatedly. The store has the used broken part they charger me $300plus for. This isn't a success story, it's a story of failure, no honor or honesty in store, and non-existent quality control.
Answer: I thought they were a reputable business but I was wrong they are crooks and don't honor their warranty's.
