If I could give this company a zero I would. I am a longtime auto enthusiast and this company used to be known for being decent. You may even be able to find a franchise where you can get good help, but the company itself is terrible. I was forced to buy some break calipers that were available online only, out of two both were not disappointing. One of the calipers had the hardware attached and someone had obviously used a power tool to do so and the rubber gaskets were blown out of it and the bolt had been tightened down so far that it was past the threads. After a half an hour of prying that part was made usable. The second caliper was installed but was faulty and would not compress. I tried to take it to the store for a return and a reorder, they don't handle online orders in the store at all if it is a napa franchise. I was given an assistance number at the store which I called and they said they needed a picture of the caliper, and despite it looking just like any other caliper I obliged. I didn't hear back so I called, no progress. Then they called and asked how I knew that the part did not operate. Despite me physically seeing it not compress and then getting a second opinion from a mobile mechanic they said they would now need a letter from the mechanic for the return. A hundred and twenty dollar an hour mechanic that makes house calls (brake issue) doesn't write letters for free. I am out the time on the first part, the installation, the mechanic call, the drive to the store, numerous emails and phone calls, waiting on the part initially, and now they would like me to pay more in time and money to send them a note for a purchase that is less than thirty days old on a part that is even supposed to be covered by a warranty. These are crooks plain and simple with no quality control.
Buyer beware of return policy for online purchases. The floor mats I ordered online turned out to be thin cheap black plastic. They wouldn't lie flat no matter what I did so I had to return them. Warning there is a restocking charge on top of the return shipping. I lost 34% of my original purchase charge for a product that was poor quality & didn't work. NAPA is not an honorable company. Avoid ordering from their website.
NAPA ripped me off when I placed an online order! Their website displayed a product for the price of $416.99, yet IMMEDIATELY upon placing the order they jacked the price up to $455.99. I talked to a representative who said I could cancel the order but it would take several days to have the money credited back to my bank account. Funny, they took the money immediately just as they jacked up the price!
I had to have the parts to put my truck back together and then had no other funds to do so because NAPA had ripped me off. I was basically forced to accept their theft or be without a vehicle for many days. When I received the parts, they were missing components that were specifically documented as part of the kit! I therefore had no choice but to borrow funds to purchase those missing items.
I wrote several emails to their Customer Care Department and they completely ignored me. They sent me ONE pathetic email wanting me to write them a detailed explanation of my experience and provide screenshots…WHICH I DID! I spent hours dealing with this, lost pay from work because the delivery was a day late, and received ZERO further response from NAPA! They have totally disregarded my situation and complaint. Furthermore, they refuse to compensate me for any time and money that they have caused me to lose, actually, that they have stolen from me.
I have a very detailed narrative with numerous screenshots of the entire sequence of events for anyone that is interested in seeing their deception. I will NEVER buy another item from NAPA…EVER, and will tell every person I know about this. NAPA IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and this was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
I have provided a mere sample of screenshots documenting NAPAs shenanigans. Trust me folks, stay away from this company, they jack up their already inflated prices.
My van starter went out today, so I had to replace it. I went on line to my local Napa store, about 5 minutes from my home and ordered a starter for same day delivery. Purchase went through fine and I flagged it for same day delivery to my home. Waited all afternoon for this delivery which never happened. I called the store and was told they don't have it and will need to get it from another store and now won't be delivered until tomorrow. I should have just got a cab ride to my local Auto Zone. I'll never use Napa again. No Work for me tonight, no way to get their. My job is 2 hours away, and I'm not paying a cab fair for that.
I purchased body molding they didn't have it would be over a week to get. I went out to my car and looked online. I could buy the same thing for 5 times less. I went right back in and asked for a refund they said I had to pay a $38 dollar restocking fee for an item I never saw and they never saw. If it was on order then it had only been on order for 4 minutes.
Bad place to do business beware!
They keep sending me an email about weathertech floor mats for my Colorado when there is nothing available? That just confirms the lack of reality from NAPA!
They sent me wrong mats. I returned them back to napa for a refund, but have not been refunded since Sep 13. They're giving me a run around every time I call them. Save yourself a headache, never buy from them, you will quickly regret it.
I ordered on line cause they gave me a 20% discount and promised it would be here 3 to 5 business days. Had a guy putting In brakes and rotors for me so I needed them. Ordered up after 5 business days and an extra day I called they hadn't even shipped and wouldn't over night cause I didn't pay for it. Was told go instore buy what I need and when they get there a week later I can return to a store near me. Wasn't true couldn't return to a store if purchased online. Then they said to ship all back and they would refund my money within 2 to 3 days of ups picking it up. It's been 7 days now and called them they said parts are sitting in ware house but no one has opened it yet and when someone does we will have refund within 3 to 5 days ill never buy from them on line or in store don't know hiw they stay in buisness.
I wanted to see what the shipping would be on a $2 item and because the damn website jumps around when loading I miss clicked on the PayPal button and spent $10 to ship a $2 piece of plastic. On top of that there's no way to cancel the transaction. This is the last straw in a pile of BS from Napa over the last year. They have lost my business for life.
We had a transfer inspection completed and was quoted $3000. After declining service went to a second reputable service center the vehicle was passed with no repairs needed.
Bought floor mats that didn't fit my vehicle. NAPA blamed it on me for ordering the wrong floor mats, and said the ones I ordered are for trucks with 5 lugnuts not 6 like my truck has. When I purchased them, there website said nothing about the number of lugnuts. Now they will not refund me to total purchase price. I am only getting 50% refund, due to their "shipping and restocking fees". Horrible customer service. Do not buy NAPA. Spend your money somewhere else.
Ontario store told me using cash is really most people use a card I bought the parts in glendora great guys tho ontario store is big warehouse that why I called first they said they didn't have it either so know I have to wait who knows how long I have to wait I was told the reason why they only keep 100 there afraid of getting robbed bull$#*! because fast food places start with more orielys and AutoZone do the same thing one big scam they took my money gave me the wrong parts and then a smart $#*! remark I get told using cash is risky then they should not have taken my money that is risky because know am pissed know I have to make a point of letting people know all because the guy in Ontario wanted to be a $#*!ing smart $#*! everything would have been fine telling me using cash is risky most people use cards to pay next time don't take cash if u can't give it back my purchase was 700 cash I paid $#*! this company my freedom of speech if corporate doesn't like my wording to $#*!ing bad should not have to takin my cash if using cash is risky I was given the wrong $#*!ing parts
Needed parts for a W350 dodge and had to reoder parts because they were wrong, Front brakes, right side was hjaging up, called to replace and got enough Bull S^%T from the whole staff, 2 boys 1 girl telling me how to return the defective product, which they said wasn't defective because it was still on truck. The defective caliper was draging not enough to skid tire but it pulled to the right. So Beware do not trust Napa of TROY Montana, walked out after choice words and will close account at Napa.
I tend to maintain older cars including a 1970 Cougar and NAPA has historically been a very reliable source of good quality parts. I recently stumbled on a website issue on a promotional item with wiper blades and free windshield cleaner when purchasing a pair of wiper blades. The promotional only works if you buy the exact same pair of wipers, not different lengths (driver side, passenger side) like found on many modern vehicles. When I visited the store to pick up my items, they were unable or unwilling to honor the promotion--they were mostly high school or college age who don't seem to know about cars or business. When I contacted their support, they dismissed it and closed the ticket. The same promotional came up 6 months later with the same issue. Its apparent their web designers never change their own wipers. Either way, small issues like this can reveal deeper issues with their organization, so I am using other suppliers currently.
I purchased a dash cover from this company and the company that they represented was – designs. I don't care who the company was. The product that I purchased which was a – cover was ridiculously poor quality. I could have bought a piece of material from the Dollar tree and gotten a better quality material. It is on me because I did not read correctly their return policy and it seems that for $55 I purchased $0.50 worth of material and the material had cut outs for the vents and the speakers which made it even more flimsy than what it was. I spoke to not only NAPA but I spoke to dash designs and basically they charge a 20% restocking fee no matter how unhappy you are with the product and they charge or rather they do not pay for shipping. So out of 55 I might realize 35 back in moneys once I get this done. And getting this done is a whole other issue. I called a week ago to get a return authorization and I still have not gotten it. I still have not gotten any instructions. I've not only called NAPA but I also called dash designs and was reassured that I would be getting the instructions. For goodness sake, what does it take to get an email instruction on how to return an item because they will not let you return it at all until you get those instructions so they are holding my money and they're going to get money that really shouldn't belong to them because of the quality of their items. Be very careful from ordering from either one of these entities, they are definitely not customer oriented and they are definitely not quality oriented.
Very helpful and patient employees. They answer questions and they take their time with you.
Great prices and the parts are a perfect fit!
Well Done!
I had to go back 2 times for correct parts & still not right!? Your mistake costed me time/$$$ & you were unwilling to make it right!? I promise I will NEVER go back!
Leave work early to pickup my online order. Show up 6 to 8 mins before 6pm. Doors locked lights off. 2 guys come out of back and I inquired why are they closing early I am here to pick up my online order. He unlocked the store and got me my parts even though he felt inconvenience. Now I see a charge for $60 not the $57.14 I agreed to pay. Not only did the price go up when I went to purchase items I see at the bottom of my invoice that they are going to charge me more then I agreed to. Waiting for them to correct it. I never agreed to round up
I'm a mechanic who was fixing my neighbor's van. I diagnosed his battery as bad. It was under napa warranty so I sent him up there to exchange it. They tested it and said it was still good and talked him into buying a 300 dollar alternator instead. He decided to believe them and not me and low and behold I was right but napa still refuses to exchange his battery. The warranty is not honored they lie and say your battery is still good when it's not and now they won't even return his alternator that he never needed in the first place. They talked him into buying an extended warranty on the battery 2 years ago which is really expensive and they don't even honor it. Buyer beware don't buy from this place. He was forced to go buy a rebuilt battery and 3 weeks later the van is running great. Don't trust these crooked businesses.
Answer: A very legit company that has for decades treated me very well.
Answer: Fuel pump for classic roadrunner didn't last 50 miles. I suppose 'success' is lucky i didn't eat a $100 wrecker fee. It never started cold without primer until i replaced the new NAPA fuel pump with another new NAPA fuel pump. At least it starts easy now when cold. After doing job twice. The chevy truck has been yard art for two years, as i don't really have time to do every job repeatedly. The store has the used broken part they charger me $300plus for. This isn't a success story, it's a story of failure, no honor or honesty in store, and non-existent quality control.
Answer: I thought they were a reputable business but I was wrong they are crooks and don't honor their warranty's.
