Before vacation

Just like many people, I was charged twice.
So I called them to refund one. (Not done yet)
Called the hotel and realised that there's no booking at all.
Called the agent 4 times, spoke to 4 different people. Finally a confirmation number was given to me.

During vacation
Went to the hotel, realised that they booked bed only instead of bed & breakfast. Not sure how the hotel sorted this with the agent. But I was given breakfast eventually.

After vacation
Hotel charged me for the full price of the hotel room, apparently agent (Hoteling/lowcostbed) did not pay for the room. So I have to pay and dispute the charge with Hoteling.

Overall
Terrible experience completely.
Refunds are still not completed.
I don't get any reply via their support email.
Customer hotline is an international number, I have spent lots of $ on international call to reach them.
Avoid at all cost, trivago should avoid pointing customers to Hoteling.

In regards with the issues during your stay, I've already passed this case to Customer Relations team who is dealing with any post travel cases. I can completely understand that this was really unpleasant situation for you. The relevant team will be contacting with the hotel on your behalf to explain why you was charged and they'll try to do their best to find a resolution. I can assure you that this is not our standard way of working.

Do not use hoteling.com!

Thought I booked a 3 night stay at a good price and even got a legitimate booking confirmation and email but after checking with the hotel and finding out they had no record of my reservation I realized I had been scammed. I ALSO like so many people on here got an error message when trying to process my payment so I put it through again and they charged me TWICE. Unprofessional company-even their responses have spelling and grammatical errors, it just doesnt seem like a legitimate professional company.

Do not do business with this company. There are several others that are much better. A seven day cancellation policy is unrealistic. We booked a hotel and cancelled within minutes and they would not refund our money.

So we book this hotel through hoteling.com, never receive a confirming email. Then when I reach out to them asking for an email confirming, they send me an email CANCELING. I mean really, what kind of service is this!?!?!?

HOTELING.COM IS A SCAM
October 8, 2015

They sold and CONFIRMED an expensive suite, then booked a basic room at an expensive hotel. They said they would fix the problem, then did nothing and would not return my emails. It is going to cost me $375 per night! To upgrade to the room they confirmed. Do not do business with this company.

I have attempted to book a hotel on Friday, November 2nd, at the Rio All Suite Hotel in Las Vegas from November 14 through November 18. I have received an error message and have tried to rebook it again with my PayPal account. The money has been taken out of my PayPal account but I have not received a booking confirmation. I have called and spoken to Thomas on the phone who told me I would get a response on Friday or Saturday and have requested an email confirmation to be sent. I have not received a confirmation nor a call. I have called again on Monday and talked to multiple people before I got forwarded to a supervisor, Magda, who said she will take care of the issue and rebook the hotel. I never got a confirmation nor call again. I had to call again on Tuesday and the issue could not be resolved, so Konrad from the Financing Department had to issue a refund to me. At this point I have wasted over 2 hours trying to get my hotel booked with empty promises of getting the issue solved, while Hoteling.com was keeping my money from me. Then, after a refund was issued and I could successfully the hotel, the price increased from $281.14 for the same hotel and dates to $296.57. I have called again today and have spoken to Kasia, who was unwilling to match the price difference, even though it was hoteling.com's internal issue, and did not want to match the price or give me a discount. At this point I have wasted over 3 hours and have not gotten a single reimbursement for my wasted time and when I wanted to cancel my booking, I am now being charged with a $50 cancellation fee. I have emailed the refunds department (Case Reference number: *******), whose automatic email promised me a 24 time window for a response. It has now been well over 24 hours and I still have not received a response. It's incredible how much time and effort I have wasted for a company that promises "Easy to find, simple to book"

I reserved two rooms in Las Vegas through Trivago.com. They placed me to hoteling.com as their booking agent. I paid and booked the rooms and I can't get any customer service to add my cousin's name to the hotel room so she can check in earlier that day. I will arrive late by airplane, so I don't want her locked out of the hotel room. Since this is a third party reservation, the hotel won't help me. I have emailed them since last week, nobody answers. Their phone number didn't work and it's in Spain. I would have never used a foreign company for my American trip.

Feeling scammed
October 3, 2015

When attempting to book a hotel on hoteling.com a message was displayed on my computer screen that stated there was an issue with the transaction and to call a customer service number. After attempting to correct any errors I could have made on my payment information (which I always double and triple check anyway) I attempted to process the same transaction for the same room and was issued the same message. 24 hours later I saw charges on my AMEX for BOTH transactions!

NO confirmation emails, no booking reference, no receipts... seems unreal right?

Needless to say after TWO FAILED ATTEMPTS, I booked my hotel through a different website (obviously). It would appear that I am not the only person who has run into this issue with the website. I sincerely hope that after reaching out to the refund department, I am not bullied into this reservation and charges like it appears others have been. That would be extremely bad for business. PLEASE FIX THIS hoteling.com. Your deals are great but this is not good PR for a new website. I really hope I can take this review down once the issue has been resolved, as I work in the customer service industry and I know how bad reviews like this can be for business.

This site is worthless! They are thieves and have horrible customer service! They should be $#*! down! When booking I received an error message that my booking did not go through so I booked again. They charged me for both! Then when I asked for a refund they cancelled my mothers booking that was not even in my name, and now prices are over double! And I don't think they understand English because Natalia is doing nothing to assist in fixing this!

Good service

We accidentally booked the wrong nights in London. Although I was a bit put off by having to send an email to correct it, they responded back and gave a phone number to call. There is usually a $25.00 change fee, but they waived it even though it was our mistake. They were courteous and helpful. I have not traveled yet, but so far I'm happy with the customer service.

I booked a hotel in Myrtle beach for my family, and clearly mentioned 2 adults and one kid. But they sent the booking for only one adult. I requested them to change, but they are saying they cannot do it before 7 days of arrival. Hopeless site. Not sure why trivago is entertaining them. They do not have a direct number to call also. What a pity!

I reached Hoteling.com via Trivago. I booked a room at Hotel Plaza Ljubljana for $273 for 2 nights.
Provided all my credit card details and pressed the correct button for finalizing the booking.
Instead of charging me with that amount, I was charged $1197! READ AGAIN: $1197 instead of $273!
I immediately sent a complaint to Trviago & Hoteling. Trivago responded quickly. It took Hoteling several days to respond that "There was an internal error", they cancelled my whole booking and refunded me.
This INSTEAD of FIXING my booking with the correct amount.

Obviously, I had to rebook at another hotel via a different site.

CONCLUSION: Hoteling.com SUCKS. Will NEVER use it again!. BEWARE!

If this will save one person from going through my experience, the precious time spent writing this review (and posting it) will be well worth it!

I was looking for hotels in Cancun and remembered the Trivago ads and decided to give them a try. It was very easy to use, I found prices that were cheaper by ~ $50 - $100. I decided to book through them. I tried Otel.com and my card did not get through. It said international transaction refused. So I decided to go with Hoteling.com. Everything went smoothly saw the reference number screen etc. But I never got a confirmation email. I followed up with them and received this email three days later.

"I am very sorry to inform that we were unable to confirm your booking. However full refund has already been processed and should appear on your account within the next 14 days, depending on bank clearing times."

Notice they did not offer to make it right!

Since they did not deliver, I can easily dispute these charges with my credit card company.

I took a vacation day to book my vacation. My time is worth a lot. Now I have to go back and look for other hotels and meanwhile prices would have gone up (travel ling during the peak season).

I have decided to invest my lunch time to post these reviews in as many websites as possible. Please help others by reposting and sharing wherever possible.
