I was in a rush to make a reservation for the holidays and changed my mind a mere 3 hours later. Hoteling took a 20% cancellation penalty. While the site says they send money to the vendor right away, there are no other sites that impose these kind of fees so that that just seems hard to believe. When I booked 2 rooms with a hotel in October and then realized an one later that the cheaper rate was due to a non-cancellation clause, I contacted the hotel, and they immediately released me from the obligation. That is what good customer service means.
Booked a motel room through hoteling, in rang the motel to make an enquiry they then told me they were booked out 3 weeks ago and had no record of my booking they also told me they have no association with hoteling,,,, hoteling took my money within seconds yet they cannot return emails and did not send me a booking confirmation... not happy is an understatement will take this issue further
Still have not gotten my booking confirmation and when I called the hotel they said there was no record of my booking... Found this site thru kayak.com incredibly disappointed to see all of these reviews after the fact.
I booked a room back in September. I thought I paid the total due when booking. I got to the hotel and NOPE! They haven't received any payment. In fact Hoteling.com charged me DOUBLE the amount the hotel charged. So I had to pay the hotel and Hoteling.com. This is a joke of a website! Don't use. Not customer friendly.
It is now 50 days since I made a booking with this SCAM OF A COMPANY I have sent so many email to them only got a reply when I put a post up on sitejabber. TRIVAGO IS NO BETTER as they tell me to wait and my booking will go through do I wait like a lot of people on here, cancel at the last minute loose all my money, as booking is not confirmed with Hotel or do I go there and just hope for the best. NOT FOR ME I LIKE TO HAVE THINGS CONFIRMED. It has just cost me $96 to cancel after constant requests to this company to let the hotel know about the booking. They just want your cancelation fee which is very pricy. Now I have to wait and see if they put refund in my account. BOOKING # ******* FOR Hoteling T. I booked a Las Vegas hotel room two weeks before I was going this site had the lowest rates. I broke my ankle four days before I was supposed to check in and had to cancel it they would not give me a refund because it had to be 7 days before to cancel. I think they could have some exceptions if you can send them proof. I am sure they sold that same room again. Also their was a foreign exchange fee that I was not aware of until I seen it on my bank statement.

Same story as everyone else on here. Find out two weeks before my trip that my room has been cancelled. Now I'm expected to wait several working days for my refund, and in the meantime I have to find another hotel to book. I will not be using hoteling ever again. Awful service, and most definitely a fraudulent company!

I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you. Sometimes hotel or one of suppliers cannot confirm the booking because of no availability. But what a scam! Made a booking, but then didn't get an email so figured it didn't go through. Then, a week later, i notice the charge. I called the hotel but of course they didn't have any reservation from me. I simply do not understand why this is legal? They said they are processing my refund but ill believe it when i see it.

I went on today to book a hotel for a tournament that my daughter is playing in. All the information is accurate but I get a message that I needed to contact my card provider. Several minutes later, I get a call from Fraud Protection. After reading the reviews for this company, I am very glad that nothing was booked. With all the negative reviews, this company should be banned from booking anything. Seems like people get nothing but excuses. If my credit card company can flag them as frauds (Bank of America) then that is good enough for me.

Our company is located in Europe, so American banks can sometimes call to our customers to confirm that if they wish to transfer the money to a company located outside of US. I booked with hoteling.com 5 days ago. I received no confirmation email and was asked to be patient when I emailed hoteling.com after 3 days. Now my credit card has been charged and have still not received confirmation. Further more, other members of my group have made bookings with the same hotel on booking.com and they received confirmation instantly, so I struggle to see what the delay is. Also, they have no UK based contact number! I will be asking for a full refund if my confirmation is not received promptly.
UPDATE: I rang hoteling.com's US contact number and, after spending 40 minutes on hold, I managed to speak to one of their representatives. They confirmed they weren't able to confirm the booking with the hotel, and have offered me a full refund hopefully within 2 days. I can only dream that the refund goes as smoothly as the booking! I shall not be do business with hoteling. Com's incompetence again in the future.

Like so many others previously I made s booking last night. My PayPal account has been debited but I have no confirmation email. I contacted the hotel and of course there is no booking. There is no phone number to contact Hoteling only email which they do not answer. Consequently tonight I have rebooked with my usual website bookings.com with no problems. It has not been a good start to my holiday plans

I made a reservation, and never recieved a confirmation email. I thought it didnt go through, so i cancelled, (so that i can book again right away!) and got charged the full amount of my booking for cancelling. I called and theres no supervisor at the moment to help me after being on hold for 10 minutes!. And got told they were there by "themselves" during their shift, to me thats not very professional. And either way how could i get a cancellation email but never recieve the one to confirm my booking! If i did this mever wpuld have happened! Im just praying they refund me that cancellation amount so that i may rebook again for my birthday! That is only four days from now! :(

It can take up do 3-5 days to appear on your account, however this may be even faster and depends on the bank.

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Booked a holiday for £500, took them over a month to email out confirmation. I have since cancelled the holiday and they are going to deduct 10% and it's been a month since I cancelled my holiday and still have not received my refund, multiple emails sent back and forth and they are just delaying issuing it and now I have not heard from them in 4 days! ***AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS***

I have never EVER used an accommodation company as incompetent as this one. I had to book accommodation for my boss and got charged TWICE on his credit card. Rang the hotel to see if any accommodation was booked a few days later; to only be told there was no booking; YET I WAS CHARGED TWICE!. I have 4 days to get this resolved (i have been trying to get this sorted since 3 days ago), and all i am doing is going around in circles! WORST company ever. My boss is now out of pocket $1300 and has no room booked! If i could rate you less than a 1 i would.

I booked last night and have received no booking confirmation on email. I did get a Booking Reference Number but when I try to 'Manage my Booking' on their site it doesnt come up. I know something has happened though as they are debiting my Credit Card... Cant seem to contact them on the numbers they keep providing for everyone? Will lodge a fraudulant claim if they dont come back asap!

Was looking for hotels on Trivago for downtown Denver. Everywhere sold out or too expensive. Suddenly see a banner add from Hoteling saying they had a room at a hotel I was looking at that was perviously sold out. Clicked on it, made the reservation only to find out when I received the confirmation that the reservation was for a different hotel miles away from where I wanted to be. Immediately canceled but was charged $50 bucks to do so. Never again.

Booked a hotel for 2 nights with hoteling.com in Perth Western Australia, no confirmation, had to ring the hotel to see if I was booked in and to discover they had booked me a standard room. I had paid for a king delux room. Have tried calling and email hoteling.com but have had no luck. It will now cost me another $150 dollars to get my upgrade, shame on all hotels who go through these people. Never will I book through hoteling.com again. Should be taken down off the web.

THIS IS THE WORST EVER ON LINE EXPERIENCE. Update arrived at the hotel room CANCELLED DONT USE THIS SITE. ALSO CALLED THE NUMBER SPOKE TO CHRISTINA ADVISED NEED ANOTHER BOOKING AMENDED AND THAT THE PERSON ON THE BOOKING ONLY HAD INTERNET FOR A FEW MINUTES WE HAD HIM ON MESSENGER CALL HE SOKE TO HER AUTHORISING ME TO AMEND AFTER HE HAD GONE SHE ADVISED ME SHE NEED TO ASK HIM 3 questions I advised he was no longer on the phone she said it wasn't him it was a recording. WHY NOT ASK HIM THE QUESTIONS WHEN HE WAS ON THE PHONE
Update I phoned the number *******710 spoke to Vira she has forwarded my confirmation and cancelled my duplicate booking. Refund should be 5-7 days.
I made bookings on 29 Oct, no confirmation received but your system saying processing and then stalled, I tried again to book, still the same things happened. Your system appeared to have an error and that my booking didn't go through. I have checked my credit card and it has been deducted twice. I have not received a confirmation email. I have sent an email through to customer service and refunds with no response.

I booked a room at Caesars Atlantic City through the Trivago website. I have yet to receive my confirmation email and I just got off the phone with the hotel and they do not have my booking. I feel like a fool for not reading all of the reviews in the first place, because it seems as though this happens to everybody. Perhaps somebody from the Hoteling.com team can fix this issue for me?

I made bookings on 28 Oct, no confirmation received but your system saying processing for about 25 min, then I made second attempt to book, still the same things happened. I thought your system was down and my booking didn't go through.
Surprisingly another 3 hours I received 2 confirmation emails from customer service saying that my booking has been made but payment failed. My 1st reference no: 7469 1xx and my 2nd reference is *******xx. I tried to cancel the 1st booking but customers service saying that charges of $73 dollars applies?
When I checked on my credit card, I realised that your company has charges me twice each is $574 means in totals $1048? How this things happened. Pls explained to me. My credit card have been charges yet your staffs saying that payment hasn't been received?
What happened with my hotel booking now?

Answer: Hi I'm still waiting for my refund and they haven't come back to me with my email of a couple of days ago. My advice is still don't use this company.
Answer: Yes we received a full refund but only after many emails and posting on as many sites as i could like this and getting onto Trivago as we went through their site. Waited 30 odd days for a booking which was never going to come. Kept in touch with hotel and the booking never came through. It is all a big Scam
