Stay a way, you save yourself alot of headach and heartache.

Lousy service

The hoteling website does not refresh if you are searching various dates and days so when you confirm and pay you may not be getting the dates and days you think you've signed up for. The process to contact anyone for a correction is so opaque that after two days of trying for a refund, contacting my bank, getting a phone number to, get this, Hotel Beds, since it seems hoteling.com is not the primary - it's a thicket of companies which make it impossible to get satisfaction. E.g. Their customer service sucks!

Just before the final confirmation, at the payment page, you can see all the booking details including dates and number of nights so it is possible to double check.

Want to charge me almost $500 to cancel a booking that is 2+weeks away. THe hotel doesn't charge for cancellations (up to 24hours notice). When contacting live chat, I got a "too bad" response. Asked for a manager, and was giving a phone number that isn't in service. Turn around and run way... fast.

Co-workers booked with another site to the same hotel, and were given no question asked refunds.

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment while using our services. Unfortunately, when booking with us our policy apply, so you are unable to cancel your booking with a full refund. According to this, 7 or more days prior to your check-in results in 20% of your booking cancellation. We are able to provide attractive and competitive rates, because of our strict cancellation policy in the contracts with our suppliers. This is why we have to charge the customers in case of any cancellations.
I apologise you've found it disappointing, however there is nothing more we could do in such situation.

I booked through Hoteling for a friend of mine last week, didn't receive any email like a lot of the users said, called them up and their CS guy answered quickly and send me my voucher. Sounds good so far. Until my friend show up with her passport's name spell slightly differently from the name that I help her for the booking and the hotel will not accept the voucher since the name is slight different. I called Hoteling hotline and their CS rep Agnes helped me all the way with changing the name and contacting the hotel, at the end everything is fine. Took her a lot of back and forth and I am so relief that it was resolved at the end. Thanks Agnes.

I have a booking I progress in Chicago with these guys. Two months in and I'm not sure if its a scam or not. The price came from trivago but I've found out that doesn't count for much. Its funny that another leading rating service has them as really good. But there is an odd rating distribution - many very high but a sizable minority as rock bottom. So - what to think. Just a statistical anomaly. Or some real reviews drowned out with fakes. No way to be sure I guess. But - if I were you- I would book with one of the major sites. Happy travels.

FEEL CHEATED

I BOOKED THROUGH THEM AND 5 DAYS BEFORE OUR CHECKIN DATE MY WIFE HAD TO HAVE EMERGENCY SURGERY. BECAUSE THEY HAVE A 6 DAY CANCELLATION THEY KEPT MY ENTIRE PAYMENT OF ALMOST $350. I TRIED TO TALK TO MANAGER BUT WAS JUST KEPT BEING TOLD THAT WAS THE RULES FOR ALL CUSTOMERS. $350 FOR NOTHING SEEMS SCAMMY TO ME.

Booking references ******* and *******. My sister and our families were looking for a hotel in downtown Savannah on New Years Eve. I found two rooms through Hoteling and went to book. Browser said "processing" for minutes upon minutes so I tried again, just like others have reported on this site. Checked my email. No confirmation so I booked with another travel company. The next day I received a fraud services call from my bank about two charges on my card. I contacted Hoteling by email. Did get my booking numbers but no response to my follow-up email. When I called the hotel they show only one room booked. Will keep trying to get me money refunded. Very frustrating experience. It has now been over 5 days and no confirmation email yet!

Scam.

I attempted to book a room Wednesday Dec 9th for a hotel in Vancouver. When I went to confirm payment it said 3rd party error. I tried again, and it said 3rd party error, the third time I tried, it said credit card error. So I let it go and figured I would book through someone else. Two days later I was charged for 3 seperate transactions. I still have not received any confirmation or receipt email, yet my credit card has been charged 3 times, with no reservation at the hotel. The website says that someone will get back to you within 48 hours yet now it has been two days. When will I hear from someone and I want to be completely refunded all charges and any reservation attempt cancelled.

They turned out not to be a scam, but the time it takes this company to confirm a booking is far too long and leaves the customer with the fear of being scammed. In our case they did not scam us and we had no problems with our hotel booking on arrival at our hotel in Bangkok in February 2016.
However it took a review on sitejabber for the company to respond to our concerns about being scammed. The company is just slow in processing bookings.

Service is AWFUL
December 11, 2015

I made a reservation through them over a month ago for New York. When I got to the hotel, they couldn't find the reservation. I waited for an hour and the hotel was still trying to sort it out with Hoteling.com

It was 10.30pm, so in order to be able to sleep, I had to book AGAIN a room for the night while this was sorted.

I called Customer Service and they just put me on hold forever. NEVER heard from my $600 dollars for that reservation

Honestly, the website should be closed. It's awful awful AWFUL service!

Pretty good.

Well, i had booked a hotel through their website, and as normal i checked online and was horrified to see all these negative feedback.

I was pretty scared at this point, so i went and emailed them and received prompt replies. The hotel vouchers were sent pretty promptly.

I waited for like 2-3 days to call the hotel just to double confirm my reservation and lo and behold it was there and confirmed on the exact dates that i have chosen with no additional charges.

I would have to say it can be trusted. Thanks

I was booking thru hoteling.com and was given the wrong dates for a non-cancel reservation. I panicked when I noticed there was not a number for customer service, so I sent an email without expecting ever being helped. To my dismay, hoteling.com got back to me immediately and allowed me to cancel my reservation. Very fast customer support! Thank you, Matthew, for all your help!

[UPDATE]: After around 7-8 email communications, they went out of their way to refund the full amount. Waiting for amount to be credited. Apart from lousy replies to mails, I found their attitude positive to help out.

I booked the hotel by mistake, ref: *******.
Here by mistake means, I was checking the final price by going towards confirmation but not intending to confirm actually. Usually there are two stages of payment through CC, first includes card details and other includes OneTimePasswords/PIN/etc. This site did not ask for next step and booked right away. Since I didnt want to book, I dropped the mail immediately but there wasn't any response. I called up the bank and asked if there can be rollback of transaction, they said if the merchant(hoteling.com) hasn't claimed the transaction, you can still get all money back, just ask them to not claim. I dropped another mail along with Transaction Reference number I got from bank, but still there wasn't any reply. Now they are replying that the transaction is done and they are charging around 20% of the booking amount.

I have genuinely asked for 100% refund before more than 2 months of checkin date but still they are charging this much(Their policy said maximum 20%). Hoping to get a positive reply.

Since they don't have any number I can immediately call up, I had to depend upon email.

During your booking journey, on the payment page it clearly state: 'Please fill out your details below to complete your booking.' which means the booking will be confirmed and there are no other steps. I'm very sorry it wasn't clear enough for you, however unfortunately there is nothing more we can do in this situation.
Please let me explain, that every time customer decide to cancel the reservation and it's more than 7 days before the departure date (than it will be a full value of a booking), we will charge 20% of the full value of the booking. I'm very sorry for this, but you will find this information both on the 2nd page, next to the room description (you just need to press on 'i' button), and on the right side of the payment page.
Also our contact number is 001 888 9997710. This is an international number, which will connect you to your local line when you call it.
I hope it clears things up for you.

Not only did they charge me twice, but they didn't book my hotel room. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. It's midnight, I have no where to go, and also no money. I'm not sure legally what I can do, but if there is something believe me I'm doing it if they don't return my email. Also they don't have a phone number SWEET. If there was someone in front of me, I'd punch them in the face

Poor service
December 2, 2015

I was planning for an hotel event and I have decided to use trivago website to compare the prices among the hotel. Trivago redirected me to hoteling as it shows the cheapest price among the rest of the hotel. I proceed with the booking, however I was shocked that the date I have booked was different from what I submitted on trivago. Later on I drop hoteling an email attaching a screenshot of the dates I have selected in trivago but they rejected my claim saying their system was correct. I am very disappointed in their service as it took them 6 days to get back to me and I have attached an evidence (a photo) of my booking in trivago to them but they insisted I have to pay an additional fee to amend the booking. I am very disappointed and I told all my friends and family members not to engage in hoteling and they agreed and share on social media. Very bad service recovery indeed.
