I Googled "Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington" and the site I clicked started with that name. I thought it was the Hilton Site - WRONG, IT WAS AN IMPOSTER. Inadvertently booked the reservation and called customer service using a number in a confirming email. My immediate request for a refund wa rejected. I WILL NEVER, EVER USE A THIRD PARTY AGAIN! More importantly, BE VERY CAREFUL! I told Hilton that they should protect their brand and go after this site.

Go around and around to correct the date 2 minutes after making no help Now charged
574.00 for a nite I did not stay as it was the say day I made them when it should have the be the 8th. I feel you hijack the site when I thought I was booking direct with the hotel. NEVER AGAIN

I cancelled my reservation 5 minutes after booking it and didn't realize It was non refundable. I called and the said they wouldn't issue a refund so I told them that I would keep the room and they they couldn't give me the room since it was cancelled. Luckily I called the hotel and they kept the reservation. They also charged me a ridiculous service fee. Do not use this company

Actually, you did not give me a solution. You stated to me over the phone that you would be issuing a refund. However, when it was never issued, I called again and was told that this problem had been resolved. No further action would be taken. I stand by my initial review, this this place is a SCAM. Do not waste your time or money here.

Booked two hotel rooms for my boss. Both rooms appeared on the credit card (Perfect). Then I get the credit card bill and there is a separate "Booking Charge" which was more than the two rooms put together. Not customer service line to talk to someone. If you are not calling to make a new reservation, the automated call hangs up on you. Don't waste your time, you will end up paying more money.
Use for first time because of cheapest rate. No problems encountered.

Do Not use this company. I was trying to book directly with a hotel and was unknowing redirected to this site. As soon as I hit submit it showed the exorbitant 500 charge. I tried cancelling with no success…. As I wasn't even sure I would need the room on that date. I called and they were completely inflexible in trying to help resolve the prob…. As it turns out I do t need toom and they won't work with me to come up with a solution. They don't care about their customers. It's all about the dollars. They are awful!

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
