It's was relatively quick and easy to book a room. Offered different options to meet my needs
When I arrived my hotel had been cancelled (not by me) I have spent multiple hrs on the phone on 3 separate occasions to try to get answers as to why this happened. I was told each time my case would be reviewed in a designated amount of time. It never was. Their customer service and integrity is unacceptable. Worst company I've ever dealt with.

I made reservations thru a hotel website complete with pictures etc. I was extremely surprised the next day to call the hotel and found I could not change the reservation since they said it had been made thru a third party called getaroom.com, which I had never heard of. I finally got a copy of my reservation after finding a number for this company on line. They promised a 20% refund for not being able to change but I have not seen anything about that yet on my credit card.

I book a reservation understanding that under normal circumstances it would be non refundable. On the day of the reservation, my sister has to have an emergency surgery performed and I am the only living relative. This was not excuse to get a room. I was read the company policy 3 times during my call. They have no exception and definitely no
Compassion. Please don't do business with this company.

I cannot advise you enough not to use this website! It showed me one price before purchase and then doubled after purchase with hidden charges. It was extremely misleading and the website was posing as the hotel. I thought I was booking directly. It also seems it skirted around Mastercard ID check? Terrible experience and I will be doing everything I can to get my money back. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Accidentally deleted reservation when trying to change dates. Process to apply funds to new reservation is very difficult although customer service (Jackie) was very courteous.
I made a new reservation for the correct date and then received email from Kristen W that I would receive a refund for the first reservation that was deleted accidentally.

They did not let you know there is a huge extra service charge before you enter your credit card number and auto added on after that.

I thought I was booking a hotel in Cebu on the hotel website but realised at the end of the booking process I was on to getaroom.com. So I declined to confirm. However, the booking was confirmed and getaroom had added nearly $200 to the bill. Sharp Practice I thought but there was nothing I could do. The money was taken from my bank account despite me declining to confirm the booking. Shocking really. John.

Update: Within 24 hours getaroom.com agreed to a full refund. I am VERY grateful for their response and assistance.
Website redirected me to a hotel by the same name in a city with the same name, but in the wrong state. When I realized the state abreviation was wrong and tried to cancel I was told it could not be cancelled or refunded even though their website redirected my request

I thought I was booking directly with hotel. My bad, but I'm older and not savvy. My total reservation was over $2,100. I was charged an additional $1,200 in fees, which they claimed was taxes. I went ahead and cancelled the reservation because it was within 24 hours (frankly it was within 1 hr). They actually went ahead and cancelled it even though it was non-refundable. So now I'm out $3,300 with no hotel room. I have filed a complaint with BBB.

Was booking for a funeral - only 3 rooms left, was told, no worries, you have till 11:59 to cancel - tried to cancel and was told it was NONREFUNDABLE, even tho my email stated otherwise and there was a penalty? Lack of integrity to swindle someone grieving for your own gain

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
