Hired a vehicle to be picked up from the airport. Received email and voucher with instructions on what to do at the airport. Upon arrival at the airport I followed the instructions and called the car hire provider on the number provided. The car hire firm easirent.com did not answer the phone. After frequent calling and getting no reply we had to take a taxi from the airport to our destination. Upon calling easirent the next morning I was firstly told that I did not phone the previous evening, told them I could provide evidence of calls, then they told me that no one would have been in the office at the time of calling and finally I was told that no car was available as one had not been booked and to take it up with the broker. I phoned economybookings.com and was told by the person I spoke to that I would have to send an email regarding my situation. Whole Easter break was ruined as my family and I were unable to book a hire car and also could not visit family. Five days later and I am still awaiting a response from economybookings.com plus refund of money.
I believe the rating shown is rigged the same way they conduct their shady business. This website is 1/2 star at best.
I just recently rented a car through their website and this is what happened;
1. You can't see the terms of your rental contract until after you pay the money for the car rental.
2. once they get a hold of your money then they send you this very unusual and unprofessional contract that aims only at extorting as much money as they can.
3. One of their rental terms is to deposit USD 2500 before you can rent the car, plus you have to pay three times the rent amount just for full coverage insurance. For example, you rent a car for $10/day, but you have to pay $20/day more for insurance.
4. Once you pay them the money. You can't get it back. You only get credit from their website, which is ridiculous, because their unprofessional practices are what caused you to cancel the service in the first place. Thus, you won't be using their credit, therefore you technically lost your money.
This is a shady business model, makes me rate them as the worst website I have ever used. I will never use their service again, ever.

I booked a month long car rental through them and on the day of pickup for the car I was told due to issues with the car rental company I could not get the car and I was told I had to cancel and request a refund. I never received the refund that I was told I would get by an agent for a full month of car rental. I would never recommend using this company.

On March 6, I was looking to rent a car at Detroit International airport using Kayak search engine, During the search for March 7 thru March 11, I came across an advertisement from Economy Bookings regarding the availability of a car at a good price. I right away paid for the car and BOOKED THE CAR (Booking number:
B*******). Once paid, I realized that it was across the US border in Canada at Windsor International airport. I right away called their customer service (which took me at least 40 min to connect to an agent). I explained the whole situation to this agent. In fact I told him about the flight number too that I was taking to land at the Detroit airport. He didn't pay any attention to my request. Horrible customer service. I TRIED TO CANCEL WITHIN TWO MINUTES OF BOOKING BUT THIS GENTELMAN'S RESPONSE WAS EXTREMELY POOR.
I also sent an email to their customer service explaining my situation.

Scam! They will never accept your personal insurance and will charge you $100 deposit and $150 fee for supplemental insurance. Economy Bookings handles the booking and their phone calls an automated message board that only gives preprogrammed responses. Nanocarrentals charges the money. Green Motion covers the car rentals and forces the upcharges.

I reserved a car for our vacation. The site asked for my flight number, then automatically set a pickup time that was 9.5 hrs before my flight arrived. When I emailed about this error, I was told that the pickup time could not be amended and that I would have to cancel and rebook. When I pointed out that I had no guarantee the error would not recur bc evidently no one can get in to the system to make changes there, they just sent me instructions on how to cancel. When I cancelled, it was noted you only get the money as a credit to your Wallet for the site. When I complained about this and stated it was not fair that I was not fully refunded bc the cancellation was not due to my error, they stopped responding. It wasn't until I responded again saying I was filing a charge dispute with my credit card company that I received instructions on how to get the money sent to my card. Again, without getting the cancellation fee back and likely minus another charge for withdrawing the funds from my "Wallet." No response yet.
I'm hopeful that the credit card company can help. But this headache is not worth it. I gladly paid double the price with another rental company that is up front and transparent with their practices. Renter beware!

Beware of preditory business practices. They tell you they will refund prepaid cancelled reservations, but in fact what happens is they do a "refund" to a "wallet" which you can draw from to pay another reservation with them made within two years. If you really want your money back you pay a 60€ fee. Even if you cancel within minutes and send a complaint to customer service. Caveat emptor! I've never experienced this kind of robbery on other reservation systems.

Please Please Please! Before you renting a car throught the website contact directly the rental car.
I rented a car with 30 days advance, before my trip and inmediatly Economy booking charged me all the payment on my credit card. Then, they confirmed that the rental car could not provide me the rental.
Its almost a month and still I do not receive any response. The reservacion was cancelled, where the money has gone?
I sent several mails still no response.

Car collected quickly without fuss. Only disappointment was an " upgrade" to a larger car which we did not want or need. Other than that all OK.
We reserved a car through EconomyBookings (a.k.a. Booking Group Corporation Ltd.) for ~$340. The total on the checkout page on the EconomyBookings website was less than $290; the additional ~$50 charged to our credit card were undisclosed fees (we took a screenshot of the checkout page stating we would be charged $287.xx--we only learned of the hidden fees when we received our credit card statement and asked why the charge was so much higher than the amount quoted on the checkout page when we made the purchase).
We were surprised to learn that we had to pay the actual car rental agency an additional ~$740 on top of what EconomyBookings already charged our card to get the car, so a $287.xx purchase cost us almost $1100 in the end.
The staff person at the counter of the rental agency told us EconomyBookings is a legal scam (fine print on other webpages that you have to search for to find, misleading claims, etc.) and that they warn people not to trust or use EconomyBookings (too late by the time you fly to another country thinking you've already reserved a car).
Some warnings:
'Free cancellation' up to 48 hours before pickup is actually a several-week-long process. If you get any refund (which we did not), it will not be refunded to your card. Instead, they say they will refund a portion of your payment to an e-wallet and deduct a 60 euro processing fee from the refund.
'Full coverage' is not insurance; the rental agency will not recognize EconomyBookings' coverage and will not release the vehicle to you until you pay for their insurance. In fact, EconomyBookings isn't even allowed to sell insurance in many countries according to the rental car agency we picked up a car from, but they do anyway.
When we called their customer service number from the car rental agency we were picking up from, the representative told us they could not speak to insurance, cancellations, refunds, etc. and that we would have to email their support team and expect their support team to take several days to reply. In our experience, and seemingly the experiences of thousands of others who have posted online, they will ignore politely worded emails once they have your money.
Look up the BBB complaints and visit travel review website posts for Booking Group Corporation Ltd. Thousands of customers have been taken advantage of by this company.

I made a mistake on my booking and canceled after 10 min, they gave me credit in there website not to my card,when i asked for my refund to go back to my card,they charge me cancelation fee of 65$ even thoe i rebooked with them. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE BYLOWS, worst site to book!

Don't expect accountability from anyone on their customer service team, passed arround differrent employees who lie. Everything is great about renting car from EconomyBookings. Exept that I didn't find anywhere an information about deposit for a car returning.
I wasn't informed about it in car rent company as well. So now I don't know, when my money will be realesed and return into my credit card. I was given a check (photo) that deposit is realesed, but in fact I still don't have my money back.

Die zusätzliche Versicherungsanfrage seitens GUERIN am Ende des Prozesses sorgte für Verwirrung. Beim nächsten Mal werde ich wahrscheinlich direkt bei GUERIN buchen, um solche Unklarheiten zu vermeiden.
Booking experience and value seemed good for a compact car.
My needs were basic, I needed inexpensive transportation for just me for a quick trip. Upon checking in for my car, I was told that I could pick my own car from the category but all cars were "probably" electric. Having never operated an electric car and being a "mature" driver, I was not comfortable about trying an electric car on my own. I think there should be an alert for drivers if an entire category at a location tends to be electric. Many drivers are still transitioning in acceptance of this option.
I had cumbersome luggage to navigate to the car and was short on time so I did not want to have to return to the counter to change my contract if I only found electric cars in the lot. So I upgraded to the economy size to confirm my preference.
My advice moving forward is directed to drivers who have a preference about the whether or not their rental is electric. If an alert is not provided about electric cars before confirming your reservation, you might want to follow up with the rental about this, especially if you're on a strict budget. My rental upgrade resulted in an increase of $49 for a 2 day rental that I hadn't planned.

Fahrzeug vorm Urlaub zu sehr guten Konditionen gefunden. Vermieter war Europcar. In Neuseeland hat alles wie gebucht funktioniert. Wir hatten nichts zu beanstanden und sind sehr zufrieden. Do not use this company. I booked a rental 3 weeks in advance when I arrived to pick it up. I was told they had no vehicle for me and the only thing I could do was come out of my pocket to rent another vepickle. I have been waiting 3 weeks to get my money back. And every time I call I am told there is absolutely nothing I can do but wait. If you do not value your money or your time then by all means, use the economy bookings.com.
But I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
