I feel compelled to share my recent horrendous experience with EconomyBookings during a trip to Dubai, where my family and I were subjected to deceitful practices, resulting in the loss of our hard-earned money.
We booked a rental car through EconomyBookings, trusting their services to facilitate our transportation needs in Dubai. EconomyBookings directed us to pick up the vehicle from Green Motion, an entity they presumably partner with in the city. Little did we know that this decision would lead us into a nightmarish situation.
Upon reaching the Green Motion office in Dubai to collect our reserved vehicle, located inconspicuously in the lobby of a building, our concerns began to mount. The agent on-site claimed that our Visa card was insufficient to cover the required insurance deposit, insisting that only a credit card would suffice. To our dismay, they argued that our debit card was unacceptable, leaving us stranded without the vehicle we had already paid for through EconomyBookings.
Despite assurances from the Green Motion agent that they would refund our money, they conveniently shifted the responsibility onto EconomyBookings, leaving us caught in a bureaucratic quagmire. Even after reaching out to EconomyBookings in Dubai through email, we were met with unhelpful responses, with no willingness to assist in refunding our money. It seems we paid money for nothing but stress and frustration.
I strongly advise anyone considering car rentals in Dubai to steer clear of EconomyBookings and Green Motion. Their misleading practices and lack of customer support have left us feeling cheated and robbed in a foreign country. It's disheartening to think that companies like these continue to operate without accountability.
In light of this distressing experience, I have reported the incident to relevant consumer protection agencies, hoping that others can be spared from falling victim to the same deceitful tactics. The car rental fee is good, yet booking.com gave me the old address before I pick up the car, it waste my time.
On January 17,2023, I went to pick up a vehicle that I rented with the economy bookings company at the Miami airport with my original and in order IDL. They didn't give me the car, because they asked for my driving license from Spain, which is where I live, ignoring the international agreement that the USA joined in 1950 with the United Nations. I had to rent the car from another company, paying a lot more, since I was at the airport with the suitcases, and I had to go to Tampa. They have kept 1228 Dollars that I paid for the reservation. I was in court in Miami, and they gave me a month for the trial, and by that date I had to return home. I am going to do everything possible so that this company does not continue working that way, and that it returns the money that does not belong to it. It seems to me a great lack of professionalism, and above all an illicit way to obtain money.

I actually reported this company to the attorney generals office for fraud as they used and stored my credit card without authorization making MULTIPLE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES that I confirmed with the car rental agency that no payment from this website was made to the rental agency for a rental. I used momondo to complete a rental booking and this website intercepted my reservation. Thry used phishing to fraud me. They stole my money completely and should not be in business. I will continue to pursue this to the fullest extent of the law and have hired legal representation. This is disgusting.

I booked a rental and paid in advance. I showed up at the car rental to rent the car they refused to rent it to me because they did not like my valid visitor visa I had for Kuwait. On making the rental it was understood that the would accepted visitors visas to rent. I disputed the charge through email and finally they responded after more than 8 weeks to say they refuse a refund because I did not show up to rent the car. Do not rent from this company!

We rented a car through Econony Bookings in November 2023 for Thanksgiving for 4 days. Got to airport and there was no car available for us. We had to sit in Airport for 8 hours waiting for a car to be returned and missed Thanksgiving with our family. On top of that 2 in my party are handicapped. They offered us no compensation and no refund. They are a crappy 3rd party company that rents to people with no cars available and steals your money!

Beware if you need a Refund. Lost $500! Lured in by misleading propaganda. Like "cancel anytime before..." Made 8 bookings, then AFTER the booking they tell you insurance coverage does not apply to US or Canadian Citizens. In requesting a cancellation, they give you credit on a wallet so you can apply the credit later to another booking. If you want all your money back to your credit card or bank, they keep a HUGE % of the booking. This isn't clearly specified in the Terms & Conditions fine print. In calling their customer support, they would not let me speak to a Supervisor, and are completely comfortable with their contact language - maybe waiting for a class action lawsuit to develop. Never again!

RIPPED OFF WITH INSURANCE
DO NOT USE...
I paid the full collision damage waiver for this rental and on getting their the spainish lady demanded I either leave a 1500EUR depoist or pay 70EUR collision damage waiver, I showed her that I had paid this, but she shrugged and demanded I paid an extra 70EUR. I have requested a refund will full proof of the rip off, let's see what happens, but my advice avoid. You also have to phone someone to bring a car, which was really unclear and fortunately they answered a whatsapp call as I only had data otherwise I would have been up the creek, my advice AVOID!

I e-mailed them before posting this review, which they haven't replied to so the reply is simply to provide a façade that they care about customers. I have however filled out the form but you can't attach any pictures of receipts, etc. Let's see how long before a proper reply, but as it stands still one star service.
UPDATE 19/02 16:00 - Reply received telling me to email support rather than reservations, glad to get a reply, but hey they could have done that for me, making me jump through many hoops, still a one star I'm afriad!
UPDATE 22/02 13:00 - As I suspected the quick response to a negative review and a pretence of care was all a farcarde as I haven't heard anything back from them still having been forced to email them twice. Very poor.

Simply avoid it! They only operate Mon - Fri, we called and emailed them on Sunday and due to the outside of working hours excuse, they dragged us into the 48 hours cancellation policy and this is how the chaos begin. They don't respond to you until 3 days later and simply saying they are sorry but nothing they can offer and not refunding us the full 13 nights of cost. Even we supplied them with all the email correspondence with actual time, they still ignore the fact and kept saying it's inside 48 hours and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. Very frustrating experience and don't be fooled because of their cheap price advisement on website, you will end up losing more money and we just lost 2100 AUD for nothing. Stay away and run, there are many more website offers 24/7 services.

They do not have "Free Cancellation" as they claim -- you will be charged 60 Euros to refund the money back on your credit card. They do not adhere to their terms & conditions for the refund either as I was told that the 60 Euros applies per booking and not for the total amount that is held in the "E-Wallet" after you cancel. Their customer service is rotten and they have a F score on the BBB. I am awaiting for a class action lawsuit to be held against this company because they are absolutely horrible for consumers. Do NOT use!

I made a reservation and I canceled a few minutes later, but the money I got in the e-wallet, if you want to withdraw to your credit card you need to pay 60 euros, this is really an impostor company!

Hello, I sent you a complaint upon my return from Morocco at the end of December and received no response from your services. In fact, I did not have access to the rental car that I had reserved, the rental company would have given it to someone else... I found myself in difficulty getting around and had to face additional costs. Easy to book and at a reasonable price. Location where i need,and the timeline works as well. Have used this before with no issues.
When I arrived at the airport rental car counter, the lady informed me that the car I had reserved wasn't available. She said that if I wanted another car, I would have to pay double the amount I had already paid because the insurance provided by EconomyBookings didn't cover Budget Rent a Car. After a lot of discussion, I was left without a car in a foreign country where people don't speak my language and hardly speak English. I returned to Brazil and requested my refund with numerous photographed, documented, and signed pieces of evidence, but they don't even respond to me anymore. I lost 400 USD.

Der Kundenservice war ausgezeichnet und das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Auto, das ich gemietet habe, war in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und wurde gründlich gereinigt und gewartet.
Ich schätze auch die transparente Preisgestaltung und die fairen Konditionen, die mir ein gutes Gefühl beim Mieten des Autos gegeben haben.

I rented a car through Economybookings.com. On returning the car, to the rental company, I discovered a small crack in the rear left light and although I opted for Full Cover with No Excess, the rental company asked me to pay for the damage, Euro 619.50 ( yes Euro 619.50 - which I found to be way too expensive for the light, but I still paid) and they asked me to claim the refund from Economybookings.com, as this was the procedure. So, I did and claimed for reimbursement with Economybookings.com. Although in the email I received when I submitted the claim stated that I receive a reply about my case in 5 to 25 days, 50 days have passed I in spite of sending them several emails, I am still waiting in hope they refund me. This is not a way to conduct a business. I will definitely look elsewhere and avoid Economybookings.com

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
