I called to place a reservation for my 19-year-old daughter at a location in Colorado springs, the call center lady "Vanessa" informed me the hotel I chose you had to be 21 plus to check in and that she'd be happy to make me a reservation at one that accepted 18 plus nearby. She took my credit card information over the phone and placed the reservation for me and that she was going to send me some paperwork for authorization. 30 minutes after I didn't receive the paperwork I called the second hotel to make sure everything was okay and they didn't find me in their system. We got the reservation and my daughter got to the hotel about 2 hours later and when they tried to charge my card for the room it was declined because someone, "Vanessa," took my credit card number and ordered "Union Service Supply" (meal plans for inmates) and straight talk airtime from Florida. I canceled everything, contacted my bank, contacted the police, and then contacted Wyndham Customer Care to let them know they have somebody taking people's credit card numbers in their call center. After finally getting a hold of customer care, about an hour and a half, I explained the situation to the lady and there was a language barrier that took about 20 minutes for her to understand my credit card # was stolen from a Wyndham employee and it wasn't Wyndham having charged me twice. I still don't think she understood... it's been 2 weeks and nobody's contacted me in any way shape or form, "Vanessa" is still there booking your appointments getting your credit card information and stealing your $#*! so, STAY AWAY FROM WYNDHAM! (I'm all for that guilty until proven innocent but this is far too close coincidence for it not to have been this girl working at Wyndham and this is the first time in 40 years I've ever had my credit card numbers taken.) The call was recorded should Wyndham ever decide to investigate their employees.
4 of us made reservations at the Wyndham Travelodge in Deer Lodge Montana, we had made these reservations a month in advance, upon arrival we were informed that Wyndham had sold the hotel and wiped the computers clean, therefore, there were no records of our reservations or proof of payments. (Thankfully there were two rooms left) unfortunately we had to pay twice... Wyndham did not send an email or give us a courtesy call warning us of said sale... nor did they offer any kind of compensation when I called and spoke to a customer care representative about my anger, lost money, and their total disregard to how it affected not only us but my elderly parents (who were traveling with us and had room reservations as well.) this company is very unprofessional and insensitive towards their customers. I would not recommend EVER! Booking a Wyndham property.
Booked two nights at Wyndham Garden Duluth, Duluth, Ga in August, 2022. Big mistake! We changed rooms twice; ended up in a third room that was considered to be clean. The first room had blood, urine and who knows what the black stain was on the mattress cover, pubic hair on a towel, stains on the bed skirt, carpet was dirty and the bathroom wasn't especially clean either. Upon entering the second room, we were met by a musty smell at the door, only to find that the A/C didn't work, Finally around 10pm we settled in a third room only to be kept awake most of the night by the rattling of the A/C unit…. Sounded like an industrial fan. We checked out the next morning early advising the manager we were not staying a second night and asked for a refund. He informed me he could not issue a refund because I booked through a third party, that I needed to contact them for my refund. I booked through priceline and of course I contacted them to inform them of my experience… priceline told me that the hotel manager refused to approve the refund. DO NOT EVER BOOK HERE. Unless you like the following:
Blood stained, urine stained and black stained mattress covers, pubic hairs on your towels, gray towels that used to be white, dirty rooms, dirty elevators, dirty bathrooms, AC's that don't work, noise outside your room constantly, people loitering in the lobby, in front and behind the hotel at all times of the day and night, you want to experience what it's like to live in a halfway house, you're okay with people smoking marijuana in the hallways, couples renting the rooms for a few hours.(if you know what I mean)…
IF THIS IS YOUR CUP IF TEA,,,, then by all means, book here.
I have never in all my life been treated in such an appalling manner then at Wingate East Louisville Kentucky! I came back to Louisville Kentucky from Italy to bury my mother I was jet lagged, grieving and quite ill. I am disabled and had my service dog with me who offers seizure alert. Apparently before my mother's funeral the manager Nanette Davis Called called, and told me my service dog was not a service dog because they had found poop in the room on the towels. While I embarrassing to admit I was quite ill and suffering from extreme diarrhea (hey $#*! happens!) So my poor Kiki dog got blamed to it. When I returned home I was exhausted and running to the toilet but I was stopped my woman at he desk who told me she could not let me go back into the room. Needless to say I became very upset, soiled myself and was not allowed to clean myself nor retrieve my processions! I had to call the police to get my belongings back!
I am writing this to say very unhappy with their reservation phone system. We booked a stay at Edmonton Alberta for two nites I asked agent if this was Canadian Dollars and was told yes it is when got bill I was charged in US funds phoned support line and let them know I received a Email saying they listened to call and agent said it was Canadian funds I have contacted Support a few more times and last conversation agent said I would hear from support by Wednesday still no response I also sent invoice for charges still no answer very dissatisfied with Wyndham, at this point it has cost me time and also $66 overcharged.
We had a two night stay at a Ramada Inn by Wyndham in Bismarck ND. I called the 800 number who quoted me $129 per night for a two night stay. The total would be $258. I asked what the total price would be after two nights including taxes and fees. They told me it would cost $354. That made no sense to me, so I found a local number for the hotel who also quoted me $129 per night. They said that after a two night stay with taxes and fees, the cost would be $282 and some cents. I booked the hotel directly, but called the 800 number back thinking someone had made a mistake. Again, by a different person, I was told that after two nights the cost would be $354. Today I called customer service because this angered me. I was basically given a non-answer. I am assuming someone is getting a service fee, a hefty one at that. If at all possible, I will never again book a hotel through an 800 number that isn't the hotel itself. We had a great experience at the Ramada……. Not a good experience with the Wyndham corporation. I gave a three star rating to find some middle ground. The hotel itself definitely would have gotten a four star rating, and Wyndham would have gotten a zero or one star. The only caveat I have is this: would this have been a middleman between the Wyndham corporation and the local hotel?
An administrative assistant booked rooms for a conference at a Wyndham in her name. I checked in under my name on one of the reservations and paid with my card and my Wyndham number and they will not give me credit (points) for the stay. That was the last time I ever stay at a Wyndham property.
Booked a disabled room for my husband, my son(in wheelchair) and myself. Smelled like weed when we walked in. Cop out front playing on phone in lobby. Shower chair was falling out of the wall so my son couldn't even take a shower. Mold on shower chair cushion. Fridge pouring water out of bottom. Just nasty
Any Wyndham resort, hotel etc…. Will quote you a price and promise it won't change only to go there and it goes up! You call Wyndham customer service they will either hang up in you or refuse to do anything to help you! DO NOT stay at any of these places they are all just scammers! And Wyndham supports them in doing so!
Here it is 3 something in the morning. I have an emergency situation at my house, so my landlord told us to find a place to stay and deduct it from our rent next month. So we called around, no one was answering the phones. Called Days Inn - they didn't answer either. Got reservations - she advised that particular location was actually full, that's the reason for no pick-up. She looked through the other locations, and found one that had vacancies - but it was more than 30 mins away. Decided to take it. The lady took all our info, then got my rewards info, last our cc # and booked the reservation. Saif we couldn't cancel it because it was already past time for that. Get there for the gentleman to tell us he has no reservation in the system. Remembered she was emailing me the confirmation info. Gentleman still could not find it. Called the reservation line back for them to. Tell us the room was cancelled already. By who? I was told it couldn't be... She asked that I hold on while she called the hotel to see who canceled it. When she came back - all she did was hang up on me. Needless to say - 2 1/2 hours later, a cancelation I didn't do, still no room, and we"re headed back home to a house that has no power due something in my breaker box killing all power in the house.
Very Disappointed
Nasty, dirty, smelly place. It has roaches EVERYWHERE! So sad. My son couldn't sleep because there is too much roaches. The service is horrible. Don't come here!
The first room I was given had bloody vomit in the bathroom sink. The second one had a terrible odor, but I was so tired I just wanted to sleep. The bathroom light didn't work which made it down right dangerous. On top of that, the TV didn't work and the ice machine didn't work. This place is a dump. Stayed on 4/19/22.
In February of 2022 we made reservations for a stay at the Ramada by Wyndham in Anchorage, Alaska beginning 6-22-2022. These were for a handicapped accessible room, paid for up front and confirmed. When we arrived not only had all of the handicapped rooms been sold but our assigned room was not available until 11:30 that night. This is an older motel, built in the 1960's and remodeled in the 70's. Elevators and hallways are small and narrow. I travel in a mobility scooter and, as such, maneuvering was ridiculous. We were put in a standard room on the second floor. I called the front desk immediately and was promised a room on the first floor the next morning. That never happened. ADA rules clearly state that if a reserved handicap accessible room was not available the motel shall move you to another property where there is one, at their cost. Further, that once a reservation is confirmed, the reserved room is to be moved out of inventory. Apparently Wyndham did not get that memo. When I asked about a move I was told it was too late. At 11:30 p.m. it probably was. This corporation seems to take a certain amount of pride in it's lack of service, sloppy and unclean rooms as well as its employees lack of consideration. When I checked reviews I expected a low rating, but not this low. Out of over 1,000 reviews, Wyndham had a star rating of 1 out of 5. I'm sure it would be less but you have to give at least one star to post the review in the first place. I won't begin to tell you about the physical condition of the room. It seems that it is a common problem over most of the reviews no matter where you stay. When I complained to corporate I was referred to the general manager at the motel. Basically, he had no authority whatsoever. Corporate will pass the buck whenever it's expedient. We paid almost $1400 for our stay. The cost to have moved us to another motel in the area would have been about the same. Wyndham will be getting an invitation to small claims in Fresno in the near future. Would you really want to stay at any of the Wyndham properties with these problems?
Had timeshare at bonnet creek for over 15years. Only got to stay there 2 times. Always booked but when friends called they got in. Fees kept going up. I decided to sell. Would cost me money I used the exit mode. Still had to pay monthly fees till they sold. They also lied when we first bought about the golf course across the street. Would not recommend. Now they sold and made money on my share. Would not recommend.
This place was so bad I complained to Wyndham Corporate office only to get NO WHERE! This place will not return your call nor refund your money. The place is maybe worth $30-40 a night at best. Although another breakfast patron said he had a cockroach in his tub that morning. Check out the pictures below of how this place looks and add the smell of pot smoke in the hallways in the morning upon getting up. The bathroom faucet was not bolted down properly nor a plug in the sink, the bed off its frame (my friend cut his leg on it because sticking out), furniture in bad shape and drawers broken on entertainment center, and the list goes on. See list in pictures I made and gave front desk upon leaving. Maid service came in and left our garbage heaping in the trash can (see pic). Hallway had storage closet full of junk with no door on it (my pic of that would not upload). Paint on bathroom floor and comet or white stuff on back of bathroom door (top left pic).
In June 2022 we stayed at Armand's in Louisville. When I say the hotel was disgusting I mean it was really disgusting. The sink was falling off the wall. Breakfast was a frozen bagel and sunny delight. No place to eat. And when I complained they went unanswered. I demanded my money back and they only credited me 15%. When I contacted Wyndham Customer Service they acted like it was not there problem. Then they outright lied to me about the case. To repeat I will never stay at another Wyndham property!
Stay away from ANYTHING WYNDAM! Endorsing dumps is what they do! Not a company, not even a franchise, just a "Label" to hang on a dump after reputable hotel chains have dumped them! If it's LaQuinta, BAYMONT, Super-8, Hawthorn, wingate, anything Wyndham, You'll be sorry!
As a member, & before, I have used various Wyndham Hotels. I guess it depends where & who owns that particular franchise. Well, please take it from me, Super 8 in Gold Rock, Battltboro, N. C. is privately owned & it is Absolutely the worst place to be. I uploaded a few pictures. The covers on the bed looked like someone had just gotten out of it & the chair at the table looked like a rottweiler used it for a chew toy. I preceded to the bathroom & found a used bath towel hanging on the back of the door, a still wet dirty washcloth in the bathtub, the water spout was sawed off, really sawed off. The toilet still had poop in it. The luxury of having 2 sinks, 1 by the door as you walk in the room & 1 in the bathroom, Both really visually dirty. NEVER have I seen anything like this.
Of course I complained & he was willing too quickly to give me another room. In the new room, the tub & sink were still dirty & the peephole in the door had tissue paper stuffed in it. I called the cooperate office & was told, the mgr at the site had to refund me. Cooperate would charge me a fee if they were to refund me. Just
Pitiful! A 1 star is too good for this place
The mgr did give me a refund & I got a receipt for that as proof. Now I'm waiting for it to hit my bank account. Again, please do not patron the Super 8 of Gold Rock in Battleboro, N. C.
A nite to Wyndham, You should inspect properties before you let a privately owned franchisees under your umbrella
Very bad service the owner is very unprofessional the staff are rude with a lot of drug activities going on pick any place but this hotel
I wish could give this hotel 0 stars or negative stars. We get there and there are about 25 people in line ahead of us. The lady who checked us in took so long that the line of people next to us who didn't have reservations moved quicker than us. She finally says we are all set. I specifically ask if there is anything else we need to know or do. She says no. No one is very friendly. Our "non-smoking" room stunk like cigarette smoke. I booked and paid for a King's size bed, and even after how long it took check in, they still got it wrong and gave us 2 double size beds but we're extremely tired and didn't want to wait in the horrendous line again. In the bathroom the seal on the bodywash is broken and half empty. My boyfriend is here for work so we go to get him breakfast the next day beforehand. We are asked for breakfast tickets. We weren't given breakfast tickets, nor was it mentioned that we needed them even though I specifically asked if we needed anything else. At the front desk there's another long line before you can talk to anyone. We didn't have enough time to wait in the line but had the front desk communicated with me at check in that they ran out of the breakfast tickets, I would've gotten up earlier to give us enough time to wait to get them. There was no communication of any sort. I call the front desk and tell them about the wait, the opened soap, the incorrect room, the lack of communication, and the trouble with breakfast and am put on hold for more than 7 minutes. I take my boyfriend's phone and call again. They answer immediately. (I'm still on hold on my phone) I ask for a manager. I'm asked what for. I say I would like to just speak to a manager so as not to repeat myself. She identifies herself as a manager and says something about 5 other managers there. (But I'm calling the front desk right? If you really are the manager of the front desk, why would you hesitate to identify yourself?) I ask why I am still on hold when she was clearly available to take a call immediately. She says the lady who took my original call is helping people in line. Excuse me? If I had been formed in line you would not be able to just skip over me when it's my turn just because you don't like what I have to say. She stumbled over an answer about only 2 computers. Again, if you answered my call, you should be helping me just as you would if I was standing in front of you. I tell the manager everything I just told the first person. She says "Well ma'am I can't help if we ran out of breakfast tickets." I explain that it is not that you ran out of them but that you didn't communicate this when I SPECIFICALLY asked you if I needed anything else. If I knew I needed them I would've gotten up earlier to give us time to go get them. She said "well breakfast is still going on so you can come get them." I don't know how many times I explained that the problem is that we no longer have time to eat because of your lack of communication about the need for tickets and that caused us to miss breakfast hours since my boyfriend has to work. IE: you set us up for failure and you don't care. I stated all my concerns to more than one person and no one offered an apology, empathy, or even the ability to comprehend the real problem I was having. After trying to explain this to the manager who refused to help us I said "Fine, I will just give you a really bad review." She then tells me that she no longer feels comfortable having me stay at the hotel and to come to the front desk immediately upon returning to check out and before 11AM or they would charge me for the day they were throwing me out for. I never cussed at her. I never physically threatened her, nothing. I simply stated that because their lack of service and concern I would give them a bad review and she kicked me out. If you are looking for a good, quality hotel with friendly helpful staff, don't EVER step foot in this place. It is literally the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
