My husband had an appointment for eye exam. Because of numbers in the store, I was asked to sit outside until husband was finished. Once done I was asked to come back to assist him. They took my temp and asked if Had a cough. I answered honestly that I was asthmatic and having some seasonal allergy issues. This caused occasional coughing and clearing of my throat. She immediately told my husband that they could not serve him and he would need cooperate approval to come back to the store. A cough does not mean COVID. A temp is a late sign you might have COVID. And we have been vaccinated for Covid. Did they ask us that? We will NEVER go back. And heaven forbid anyone else has allergies, COPD or CHF.
I rarely ever right reviews, but this is a doozy. I get my eye exam and order glasses. A week later I get an email that they are ready for pickup and to go online and make an appointment. I go on-line and the only type of appointment you can make is for a new eye exam. I call that office number and a recording says to hold while they find an associate. It immediately hangs up. I call the 800 number and put on hold for ever. I try one of the automated chats at there website which tells me someone will call to discuss this problem. Guess what, no call. Finally I send an email to the head office and still no response. Funny, they had no problem charging me the $400+ dollars while I was there.
We went to vision works in quakertown we are very disappointed the prices for the things we got tripled like 2 times im so disgusted
I just picked up my glasses from Visionworks in Lancaster, PA. The service was really nice except for maybe one person who was a little snippy, but most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I love my new glasses, they are so much nicer than my old pair. I can see so clearly. Thank you, Visionworks!
I waited 3 months for an appointment. The doctor could barely hear me as he is hard of hearing and i couldnt get my questions ans. The lady at the contacts station was very helpful and gave me a pair to try out. I was to call them and confirm if i wanted to go ahead with the order.
I have now been on hold on their customer service line, called both the direct no and the regular 1800 no and no one has bothered picking up. Apparently they have a high call volume bull recording playing should u call anytime of the day night or month. With such poor reviews what other idiots other than me is calling them.
I cant go to the office without an appoint. No one will pick up my phone this is the second day of same hold forever. I tried their chat option and they bot just stated someone will contact u in 48 hours! Why cant they ans now. Every company has a person who will either respond by phone email or chat. They have no one. Absolutely pathetic service. Never going back to them. Hope they go out of business. I would give them 0 stars if i could.
My prescription was completely wrong! I couldn't even read the fast food signs across the street. Literally could see better without my new $300+ glasses. When I reported my problem they couldn't have cared less. NO NEW EYE EXAM NO APOLOGY! Just a quick guess at a new prescription without the extras I paid for such as anti glare and scratch resistant lenses. I know they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee but this was my 7th trip to the store and had actually costed me more in lost work and gas than the glasses cost. The glasses are really low quality and was damaged the day I picked them up. And cause severe migraines when wore for more than a couple hours. I'm writing this review almost a year after purchase because I was reminded of this horrible experience by a mailbox flyer asking me to come back for a yearly checkup. Do not waste your time or money. You could do better buying reading glasses from a drugstore. I know because I've done it
From the time I arrived I felt as if I inconvenienced them. The employee working at the time (Ashley) did not make me feel like they enjoyed having my business at all. Poor Customer service all around. Highly DO NOT recommend this business unless Ashley and Dr. Broussard@ metarie location has been dismissed of their duties.
In the 2 years I've been going. Never a good experience. Had and exam and found out thru another eye doctor the glasses were to strong. Wore my old ones for an additional year. Time for new ones I have been saving. Put them on and I constantly feel dizzy when wearing them. Arm breaks off the frame and I can't even make an appointment to get them fixed. The only appointments they are excepting is for New Eye Exams or Pick up of New Glasses. No other options and they don't answer the phone. Call and your referred to Website. I will find another Eye Doctor before I give this Company another dime of my money or my insurance companys money. If I could give zero stars I would.
Wish I could give it a zero. I ordered glasses with transition lenses after my eye exam. 1 week later picked them up and they did not have the transitions coating, would not darken in sunlight. I told the girl at the front desk that I ordered transitions lens and she insisted I did not. I told her the girl who actually took my order wrote transitions on my order and showed it to me. It was clearly written on the ticket. She asked if I had the receipt, I did and looked at it only to see that the 1st girl had given me a printed receipt with the total price only, no itemized details of my order. So the 2nd girl told me if I wanted transitions I would have to pay an additional $90. They are dishonest, shady and crooked. Still waiting to see if corporate will return my call. Either way I will never go back.
I received fast service for my glasses and the price was understandable. Even though it was early, the customer service employee showed interest in helping me fix my glasses. If anyone asks about, getting their glasses fixed, I'll send them to you
The wonderful people at vision works could care less about their customers and are not above lying about it. We drove an hour to our appointment today only to find the store closed with a sign saying they would re-open 11 Jan. I called corporate to ask why no one bothered to call and tell us the appointment had to be canceled or rescheduled. (You know, our time, the customer, is not at all $#*!ing import!) I took time off of work to go. So some lady at corporate claimed she did not know the store was closed and said she would have the regional manager call me back before the end of the day. Great, She sounded like she was trying to help. End of the day, no call. Not rescheduled, no answers.
As far as I am concerned the Visionworks location at Independence center can kiss my rosy red cheeks. The regional manager can piss off. I am going to leave negative reviews where ever I get the chance. #VisionworksSucks! They do not care about their customers. 27 minutes on hold trying to get to talk to someone in customer service.
I put one star but not even worth the one. As trying to schedule my sons eye exam for 6 months it kept getting canceled with no reason provided. In that time his warranty ran out while wearing broken glasses. Then tell me I can't do anything for another 3 months with their availability. Took my business elsewhere and got better customer service and an appt the next day for eye exam and new glasses
We've been going to the Visionworks in Arlington Hts IL, for many years and receiving excellent care by the staff, especially Alyssa and Dr. Bunchuk.
Very Thankful!
Pat and Ed Young
I was just in the vision works in Aurora, Illinois store number 81 in fox valley mall. I stoped In to look at glasses not knowing that you have to have a appointment to view glasses. The Young lady asked me did I have a appointment I said no she told me to get out. I looked at her like are you talking to me she repeated Get out I just left. It's not what you say it's how you say and to tell a potential customer to get out.
Ordered a pair of glasses online and they never arrived. UPS marked the package as delivered however my cameras never picked up a delivery. Now ups is investigating but visionworks says they will not replace them if they say its delivered. I paid for glasses I never recieved and visionworks doesn't take responsibility. Worst shopping experience I have ever had. Shop at your own risk.
My appointment was made last year right after my visit. I received a text message to confirm my appointment two weeks before the appointment date. And I replied 'Y' to confirm. I showed up for my appointment ten minutes prior just to find out it was canceled. No apology, no explanation, and no reschedule. They offered to squeeze me into the full booked schedule, but no guarantee the wait time. Had to leave since I could not wait around.
I called and made an appointment for an eye exam a week prior to my 4p.m. Appointment today. When I got there, I signed in as asked and waited, I was ten minutes early. People kept getting called for their appointments and I was still waiting to be called in for my scheduled eye exam. At 4:10 p.m. I was wondering why they hadn't called me so I went up to the desk and the lady said sorry she forgot about me. She gave me these papers to fill out. About five more minutes later she told me oh no we don't take this insurance(when I made the appointment I made sure that they took my insurance). Anyway she said I could just pay for it and I agreed. I didn't have enough cash in my wallet so I said I would pay with the debit card. But what a nighmarr that was-for like a half hour I kept sliding in this way that way putting it in and waiting etc etc and three of the ladies behind the desk were trying to get this thing done. A line was buillding up behind me and people giving me dirty looks. Finally one of them said it's not me it's their system went down. So she said she will try it in the "back" and disappeared. Another 5 to 10 minutes went by and I was still waiting. Needless to say it was a huge cluster... and I got nothing accomplished. The lady never came back out from the back trying to accomplish the task. I told the remaining lady I am going to pass on this now and find another place that will take my insurance-or actually accepts my payment for a damn eye exam.
So my wife was shopping at Visionworks' Avon, Indiana location, and I walked in (wearing my face shield) to ask a question. Immediately I was confronted with a script-reading associate who proceeded to tell me (not ask me) that I had to have a cloth\paper mask that makes it difficult for me to breath in. No compassion, no discussion, just I must have one of those masks, which I don't carry. Visionworks is the ONLY retailer that has refused me service since this began. They are certainly not the only players in the game, and I will no longer patronize them.
My insurance company gave me the green light as far as my coverage with Visionworks. So I go, have exam stating I wanted both a contact & eyeglass prescription. After sitting in a frenzied waiting room, I saw Dr Jin Qian. Could she have gone any faster than the dizzying pace she took with me? I don't think so - very poor exam with absolutely no feedback. Contacts not available, glasses prescription was for readers only, not bifocals as recommended by previous ophthalmologist. She couldn't even tell me if contact prescription would be right for she "bumped up" script and said to wait 2 weeks for samples to come in. The worst part of all was when I was told I did not have coverage but was considered " out of network ". Seems every Visionworks is independently owned and I did have coverage in next town over (20 miles). Folks, please don't think you are saving any money by using their coupon flyers or the fact this business is everywhere. They are pure and simply scammers and the disarray & nastiness of this Murfreesboro, TN location should have been the tip off. Why wasn't I told my benefits were only good at another Visionworks? Why was I given the bum rush when it came to an eye exam? Guess when I left I saw the 2 doctors playing with their cell phones. In all fairness there was one young male employee who attentive but that was because he was the one who took my payment. This location is BAD NEWS. So many more honorable eye doctors in Murfreesboro, TN. Please don't let this place get you too. I usually don't comment on bad experiences, but this location needs serious attention by its owner.
Almost three weeks to get an appointment, you expect an expedite turnover... an hour and 20 minutes for a partial eye exam! I needed both corrections, near and distant. The distant vision tested, the near... inferred from my old glasses (!?) I was appalled and before booking the glasses I asked to verify the newly prescribed correction on adjustable test glasses to make sure the suggested correction was effective. It wasn't! Much worse than my old glasses. This place is ridiculous: how can you write a prescription without testing if the values chosen are effectively improving your vision? $45 wasted for a scam "visit".
Answer: Tried to call General Manager and other 800 number to voice complaint but was put on long looped music/business nonsense for too long.
Answer: I haven't heard of any success stories around the Syracuse area... they closed the lens making facilities locally... and they should close the rest of their operation as well
Answer: I believe Wal-Mart would be a better choice even if price is more which I don't think it is
