$700 purchase with insurance. The frames rusted out and lenses scratched so bad it hurt my eyes. I asked if I could upgrade the glasses and was denied. I could replace the original but not upgrade. I received a new pair that did exactly the same thing within 2 months time! The quality of visionworks products is terrible! I will never purchase glasses there again!
Bought several pairs of glasses from Visionworks in the past and just bought glasses and shades in April 2021. August 2021, glasses broke already and they wanted to charge $90 and/or $50 for a warranty as they stated that glassed had no warranty, really?! No appreciation for customer loyalty so never buying again.Be sure there is a "warranty" if you buy these glasses as obviously not quality materials any more!
Visionworks in bartonsville pa off of exit 302 on 80west. I had an excellent service. U have lost my glasses after two weeks of having it. Tammy was very ephathic and professional. She really listen to my needs and went Over and beyond to accommodate me with another pair of glasses. Since my insurance did not have a replacement benefit Tammy assist me with getting me much needed glasses. The staff was very forth coming at this location. Everytime I call, they are very helpful and made me feel very valued. I bought my replacement glasses JULY 26,2021. I recommend my sister to go there and I will be bringing her soon.
They overcharged my wife and i 300 bucks! However, the Dr. was very professional and pleasant as well as were the 3 working in front. The problem came when we went next door to purchase the glasses.
Please don't waste your time, go for a company that cares and generally wants to help you. This one doesn't, and the glasses are super cheap, won't even last a year.
I wish I would have read reviews b4 I went there. Bought 6 pairs from them, and was asked to leave the store, cause I couldn't see out of my new glasses, because they read the prescription wrong. They told me I needed a new prescription. When they told me it was there mistake, I asked 4 my $40 back. That was a problem, and the manager asked me to leave, and I've bought 6 pairs of glasses from them. Really! This isn't the first time I've had problems with them. And corporate is no better. Don't waste your time. They are very poor everything. So long visionworks. My money is going to Warby Parker and Eye Lab.
Don't go there, if youvwant to waste you money and time this is the place for you.
It's a nightmare so please you love yourself
"DONT COME HERE"
Purchase glasses never got them had to wait 30 days to get my money back and to get my insurance reinstated they told me can be reinstated over the phone but my insurance company prove them wrong they called them got it reinstated so it took me about 45 days to get my money back so I can go and purchase eyeglasses I'm somewhere else my advice stay clear read the reviews before you go to the one in Castleton Square in Indianapolis Indiana
Staff doesn't always wear their name tag. I got a denial notice because if this, but I was able to correct it. Due to the staffs inappropriate knowledge of measuring, when I went to pick up my glasses he guessed where the bifocal line should be. No measuring of my eyes, so he said oh well we will send it back to do it over, so now I must wait another 14 days.
Thank you,

The selection of frames is limited and overpriced! My wife and I had to settle on frames that were not special due to our insurance. The most negative thing about Vision Works is that the Opticians don't take the time to properly fit and adjust the glasses! I've been back to 2 different stores 3 times for adjustments and my glasses are still loose! Never again would we purchase glasses there!
My husband was told by eye dr during exam that he was hemorrhaging in one eye and referred us to our ophthalmologist for follow up, suggesting urgency. The ophthalmologist said he needed to review notes from eye exam but it was IMPOSSIBLE to dial the store directly, you get a ridiculous phone system which includes no live person option. Multiple phone calls later we reached a customer service rep who also COULD NOT REACH anyone in the store directly. Said he would email the store but by the end of the day our dr still had received nothing. Our dr had also faxed the store asking for info; no response at all until the following day. I actually drove in 20 miles the next day to make sure they had responded. (because I still couldn't reach them on the phone) It took over 36 hrs for a response to a fairly urgent matter. Absolutely the most aggravating and useless customer service ever encountered.
The folks who work in the store are great and none of this is their fault but try to get any follow up once you walk out. Apparently the company doesn't care, their reviews are consistently poor.
Ordered glasses a month ago called numerous times finally asked for a refund the manager acted like i was the blame.
If you can find another location another eye doctor to get an eye exam and customer service visionworks is not the one to go to find someplace else
I got new glasses about a month and a half ago and with my hours made it hard to go back in to get them adjusted and when I finally was able to get back in and get them adjusted they bent my arms to get them to work right but now the arms are so loose they fall off my face needless to say I won't be back to get new glasses and you would think spending 300+ dollars I should be happy with my glasses lesson learned I guess.
Made an appointment for 9:30, showed up 10 min early (as I do), waited for an entire hour before I was taken back. Then another 10 min before the actual eye exam. After the eye exam the dr. took me to a lady that gave me a contact, I put the contact in she said without ever looking at me "is the contact in", she then took me to a room to read the eye chart, walked out without saying anything to me, 10 min later I went out and asked if we were done, she replied that the dr. would need to look at the contact another 10 min the dr looks said all good, went out to order contacts and was told that they were on hold with the ins. Company and they suggested that I pay the bill up front and when the ins. Company paid they would reimburse me (fat chance), the entire staff has a bad, condescending attitude. Clearly they think that their time is more valuable than their customers. If your people are so sick and tired of customer service, leave the industry.
Tried an eye appt. Today in Millbury. Dr. Didn't even thoroughly examine my eyesight with different lens options. Usually a doctor would ask if one view is better than a second and keep going until the letters you're reading are crystal clear. He did none of that. Just asked me if I could read the letters - that was it. No choice comparisons. I specifically told him I wasn't seeing great with my current glasses, so he should have understood my eyesight changed. My son got glasses there and the lenses just kept falling out and their solution was to keep coming back to have them put back in. Cheap glasses but huge cost. I can buy glasses full price elsewhere for the same cost as their "deals".
I went to the VisionWorks in Frankfort, KY for a standard eye test and new glasses. First, they try to sell you items deceitfully. I was ordered bifocals and they talked me into "digital lenses" which I was told meant the bifocal would go from one side to the other so you aren't missing any text. This was incorrect and when I picked up my glasses and noticed this was not true, the person who sold them to me gave me shrugged shoulders because he didn't have bifocals - he just knew people liked them. Also, I was sold "smudge-proof" and when I went back in, the manager said it wasn't smudge-proof, just dirt resistant. I have to return my glasses 4 times to get the bifocals in the right place so I could see without getting nauseous. These are the worst glasses I have ever had. I couldn't return them because my insurance was already processed and going to a new place would cost more because of the benefits taken at VisionWorks. My son got regular glasses (no bi) and his glasses are fine. I wholeheartedly do not recommend VisionWorks if you have bifocals or anything difficult about your prescription. After my third trip in, they had my vision checked to make sure the prescription was right and the Doctor treated me poorly as if I was questioning his ability.
Recently purchased a pair of classes from Visionworks at a really great price which I was excited about! Had a decent eye exam, ordered the glasses, then left the store after being told the glasses would be ready in two weeks. So 2 weeks later, I check my order status, and I see that my order has jumped from the "inspect" phase (the last phase before being ready) all the way back to "start" and is now "pending." Haven't gotten any email updates or explanations from Visionworks, and I would like to know why my glasses are now late with no new completion date in sight. So I try to call my store, but nobody picks up the phone. It eventually routes me to the main customer service line, where I've now been on hold for around a half hour. Going to give up soon. Tried the online chat option, but no real people respond to messages there. I should NOT have to DRIVE to my store just to get answers for a question about glasses that are already paid for and nowhere to be found! Super frustrated.
If you want to be treated like dirt, go on in. Our first impression was foul looks like we were the uninvited guest at the party. We never felt comfortable. A young man assisted us and found a great frame and completed our order quickly and courteously. Our order was available on the 18th.
As far as pickup, when we called speaking with a person was not an option. We followed the recorded message and checked online that the order was in. We went in to pickup his glasses. Again, we got the evil eye when we came into the store. " did we call you?... we dont have them... the intefnet just tells you that they left Texas... there are about 60 pair that havent been processed yet. " begrudgingly she went to look and came out moments later with his order.
What happened to COMMON courtesy? And customer service? And simple civility? We did not find it at our visionworks.
I waited 1 1/2 hours the first time only to have a male customer who came in after me helped first and was told snidely by the manager, "I just got here" when I said I was first. The next appointment with my son, the employee told me that it was cancelled when I confirmed by phone and they sent me a confirmation. I missed an additional confirmation text but confirmed 2 out of 3 and was told this was new company policy. The store was crowded and they may have been behind so the needed someone to go away.
Answer: Tried to call General Manager and other 800 number to voice complaint but was put on long looped music/business nonsense for too long.
Answer: I haven't heard of any success stories around the Syracuse area... they closed the lens making facilities locally... and they should close the rest of their operation as well
Answer: I believe Wal-Mart would be a better choice even if price is more which I don't think it is
