Left the first appointment with a glasses prescription but the doctor told me "not to fill it because I don't know if it is right." What did I pay for? Why did I come here if it wasn't to get a prescription I can fill? When I was leaving, the girl at the desk was incredibly rude and didn't acknowledge my existence at all. The doctor told her to schedule a follow up. She just sat there looking pissed off and then slid the paperwork to Derek who was working on something else and she said "do you wanna check her out?" He awkwardly said "sure give me a minute." Then she just got her stuff and left the desk. Extremely rude and unprofessional person. I came in to get a new prescription for glasses and contacts. After two days, I knew the contacts he gave me weren't working. I called the office and said I need a sooner follow up because the contacts were the wrong prescription and were hurting my eyes. She said she added a note to my file. They had nothing available for over a week (even though there were appointments available online). When I returned I was asked why I wasn't wearing the contacts and I had to reexplain everything to the staff and then reexplain it to the doctor. The doctor didn't even check the prescription. He said nothing about the glasses prescription he gave me but I can't fill. He wouldn't recheck my eyes. He gave me different contacts in my old prescription and said to come back in a week. So now i have contacts in my old prescription and a new glasses prescription that i can't use because it's not right. And I have to go back for a 3rd time and ask again for the prescription to be checked. They already billed my insurance so I can't even go somewhere else unless I pay completely out of pocket. This place is fraudulent. I am so frustrated. It's been weeks of me wanting to correct my vision. Something is off. I keep asking for help and these people keep dismissing me. They just want to bill you but not actually provide correct prescriptions. I have been wearing glasses and contacts my entire life and never had a place commit fraud like this.
Coupon for 50% off. Presented it, was told, prescription was over 1 year old. Coupon denied. Coupon did not state prescription requirement.
It was a very disappointing experience working with Dr. Chang and Dr. Lee at Vision Works Garden City. They don't care about you or have any patience at all, they just want your money.
Dr.chang did not check my eyes for contacts and used the same prescription as my glasses which was also taken from my previous prescription. During the follow up visit, I mentioned that I was not able to see with contacts at all. Dr. Lee replied that contact lenses are not as good as eyeglasses, and you would not be able to see letters, and you can leave because I have another patient to see. If this is the case, then what is the point of getting new contacts in the first place?
It is only Shelly who is good in that office, she is very experienced and polite, and she is very good at her job. As a matter of fact, Shelly asked Dr. Chang a question: "Are you going to change the prescription?".
Obviously, this is not my first experience with Vision works, but it is clear that they do not care about clients at all. All of their locations have employees who are unprofessional, and they never fix the problem.
This is the worst company ive ever had to deal with.from management to employees none of them care.
I took my mother in September of '23 for new glasses and they were running a buy one, get one free special so we opted for that. Well, the first pair came within a few weeks but no sign of the second pair. I've lost track of the number of times I have called (both the store and now the customer service line) and have gone to the store in person at least twice. The customer reps have been pleasant and are trying to help. The "territory director" has not bothered to call me back even after me calling to escalate three times now. It has now been 5 months and I do not have what I ordered.
Yesterday I had the honor of dealing with the store manager, Darissa Cunat.
She was the best person I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with, and because of her l will make Visionwoks my 'go to' store for all things related to my eyesight. She had the patience of a saint and made several phone calls to make sure that my insurance company was doing all it was supposed to do on my behalf.
I bought a pair of prescription glasses. When the Salesperson asked me wether I wanted a lenses that would scratch or not? I told her that I wanted the lense that would not scratch! She took it upon herself to write down the total opposite of my preferred choice! In less than 3 months, I have a pair of glasses that are unfit to wear and they say that I did not pay for lenses that would not scratch?!?! They are liars! Do not mess with these idiots!
I went to visionworks in Taylors,SC, to see if they could repair my son's glasses which the puppy took outside and mangled. They were friendly and acknowledged my entrance; my glasses were given to the manager, Kevin, who examined them and said he would try his best to repair them. He worked on them with different tools for a long time and did a fantastic job! I was so pleased! And did not even charge me--amazing! This is The Best shop for glasses I have ever found or used. Great job, Kevin!
I bought glasses the RX was changed twice I asked for refund they keep telling me after 2 months well a check was processed but no check number or reference number a big run around
I squeduled 2 appointments for my wife and my self, hers was fine, none showed for me, they said will squeezed me in. I asked who did the appointment I was told there was no record, should have been quick, took over an hour in something that should have been in and out! If you can't better educate employees then maybe new employees will work better. Or maybe time to try another company, time is money and you cost me to miss another appointment because your lack of scheduling properly. Great doctor and why I keep comming back!
Bought my glasses less than a year ago, bow broke and I brought them back to Visionworks and they told me I had to go to Pearl Vision to get it replaced. I got in contact with Visionworks Customer Service via email and was told someone from that location would be in contact with me...well still waiting!
Visionworks you have lost a customer!
My appointment was at 4:45pm. I came early and ask receptionist if they could see me sooner. Finished paperwork and was waiting for an hour. No one was there, she took 1 hour to put my paperwork in by that time scheduled appointments started to come in. Waste of time
Absolutely no personal effort made by the receptionist to make eye contact, speak clearly, be clear about what I was to expect, what charges would not be covered by my insurance, and then, accept responsibility for her shortcomings in all of the above when there was clearly a misunderstanding upon checkout. Optometrist was great. Too bad one of her team members out front was so impersonal it tainted the experience to the point I won't come back!
Visions Works seems to be more interested in price not quality of products or service
When asked about products over the phone they won't give info and dismiss questions but will mention price mainly
My new glasses work well for me. Now for the bad news. The staff lacks knowledge and seems indifferent, but it's a top down problem. I called the Lancaster, PA office three times, and was rerouted to a centralized office all three times. No one ever answered. No one ever contacted me to let me know my glasses were ready for pick up. They charge an additional $35 for what they call "Visionworks Protect." When I said I didn't what the extra protection plan, I was told that they would not do any work on the glasses without buying it - they will not tighten a screw or adjust a nose pad. I never experienced this at any eyeglass store before. The associate said if I don't buy it, "when you leave this store, you're on you own." So, it seems they don't stand behind anything they sell. When I finally received my glasses, he handed them to me in a case. "Try these on," he said. No fitting. No reading cards to test the new lenses. No check to see how they fit. Nice glasses, but I'll never return.
Went to Waterworks location in Pgh. Got my glasses and kept complaining that I couldn't see out of them. So it was suggested I go w a lighter frame. So I goto the one in Monroeville bcse the original. Didn't have what I wanted. They also retested me. Then I selected the ones I wanted and goto get them and they put the script in the original frame and then couldn't find the one I selected. Then it was some weird thing going on where it showed I returned the cheaper frame, I e. The new frame I had just selected and purchased the original frame I returned. And she had created a 2bd profile for me. But anyways bcse she prcsd it wrong the new ones were sold. I ended up selecting another frame and just paid cash. Then had to go bk to the 1st one to be refunded. I thing goto Walmart to have them do the lenses. Still could not see out the bifocals. Mind you I had also purchased just reg glasses for distance at the same time at VW and they were ok. FF this year bcse of insurance chgs I was able to get tested again and get new glasses. So I goto Pearl. She informs me that my original script for my left eye the info was missing. And that is why I couldn't see. But VW after 2 exams didn't catch this and Walmart didn't either. I feel even though it's been a year that I should be compensated for my co-pay for the new ones.
Anita at the centereach office was very rude and lacks customer service skills. She may benefit from additional patient experience training.
I have been going to this place for 8 years. The first pair of glasses fit terrible. I reordered Ray Ban glasses. They defiantly were over priced. I can believe, I couldn't get one person to get off their $#*! and help Me. The customer service was shameful. I would rather go to another, eye glass place, then go back here. The last time I will, buy glasses here. Poor quality frames, cheap over priced
Let's start at the beginning… came to Visionworks in Rome, NY for an exam. This exam was performed 14 months after my last exam at a different office not affiliated with Visionworks. I found it strange that the doctor said my prescription had changed drastically… 2 steps on each eye.
When I arrived to pick up my glasses I was seen immediately which was the only positive from that visit. Trying on my new progressive lenses, I could tell immediately that this prescription was WAY OFF! Then I tried on my pair of 'reading only' glasses. When I told the miserable optician that I couldn't read anything up close out of my right eye she said those are for distance only. I tried to explain to her that they're for reading (everything more than 3 feet away was blurry af)! She kept arguing with me for a few minutes that they were for distance only… after a while she realized I was right. No apology and more attitude.
This store should be closed …or fire 1/2 the staff and hire competent doctors.
The cherry on top of this disaster is that I had to drive over an hour to get to this store… and they can't get me into see a the doctor again until 14 days from now. If I could I'd ask for my $$$ back and go elsewhere but they already ran everything through my insurance.
I'd give this Branch ZERO stars if that was an option.
Bottom line… incompetence is the norm here and proper customer service is non existent.
STAY AWAY!
I went to queens near the queen mall location and all employees care less about customers
I hates the place
Answer: Tried to call General Manager and other 800 number to voice complaint but was put on long looped music/business nonsense for too long.
Answer: I haven't heard of any success stories around the Syracuse area... they closed the lens making facilities locally... and they should close the rest of their operation as well
Answer: I believe Wal-Mart would be a better choice even if price is more which I don't think it is
