DON'T DO IT!

DO NOT DO IT! If you have a single issue, one little thing, you will not get a refund, they will make it absolutely impossible for you. They will state their supervisors can not help you because they have no authority. EVEN if they say they will refund you, they don't.

I looked for a hotel in Portland Maine and a hotel in Portland Oregon got booked. We spent hours with phone calls back and forth to determine this was an error. The representative stated that they would refund the money as long as the hotel agreed in which they did. The charge still went to my credit card in which I have been going through months of arguments to get this resolved.

Paid for flight, was denied at airport
September 9, 2021

I'm writing this in hopes that SnapTravel gets back to me. I have proof of payment for a flight from San Sebastian > Madrid > NYC (JFK) today (9/9/21). I was denied my boarding passes at the airport because my ticket was "suspended." There was no explanation. I called SnapTravel's emergency travel line and waited on hold for an hour before giving up and leaving a message with the promise of a call back. I had to purchase the same flights directly through Iberia in order to get my boarding passes. I think I'm owed a refund from SnapTravel for this terrible experience. To SnapTravel representative: please reach out to me. I have documented proof of all of this. Thank you.

Snap travel
September 6, 2021

Do not ever use this service. Booking was confirmed through email with confirmation number. I get to hotel and they said virtual card was denied. Customer service couldn't speak English well and I got the run around and never got a credit or refund! This company is a scam.

Scam
September 1, 2021

This is a scam. Can't get hotel confirmation. One month later, they didn't honor reservations at hotel. Hotel prices increased substantially since I made reservations. I am out of options at this moment. They tried to lure me into getting a much inferior hotel. This is a bait and switch. I am planing on hiring an attorney because of the major issue caused by their scam. Are there any others which would like to share their experience as well?

Steal your money

I got scammed by Snaptravel. I am a honest hard working woman. I actually thought I was booking my hotel through Holiday Inn. They did not even have my reservation. I only found out when I had to cancel my date. All my paper work clearly states refundable. They keep saying they will refund me. I will take another legal course of action. Do yourself a favor book elsewhere. Do not become a victim from their scamming.

AVOID SNAPTRAVEL! LIARS AND THIEVES

DO NOT BUY FROM SNAPTRAVEL. ABSOLUTELY AVOID! They scam and con people and are the absolute worst to deal with. My sister and I paid more money on Snaptravel to stay on the apartment side of a hotel in Dubai (there were two options available on their website - the hotel and the apartment) we chose the apartment and paid more money for two apartments. Our confirmation email and final booking all stated the hotel apartments. We arrive to our hotel apartment that we booked and they say you've been booked in to the other side hotel not this apartment. We had to stay a night in the wrong booking because everything was shut when we arrived. We spent the WHOLE NEXT DAY literally wasting our international minutes calling Snaptravel and they ARE A NIGHTMARE. I was hung up on twice. When they do respond it's all scripted and robotic (as are their WhatsApp messages). Many times they said they would have a solution and call us back in 15-30 mins and they never did. We spent the whole day not enjoying our holiday, completely stressed out, calling them constantly just to hear the same response "this has been escalated and we're waiting for an update". They even lied to us several times saying we spoke to your hotel and they're closed when we were with them and they were open and the hotel said multiple times that they never heard anything from them. They scammed us of our money, claiming the apartment we want is under the same hotel but decides to charge us more money, write apartment on all our confirmations, but places us in the cheaper option. UNBELIEVABLY MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISING. The last 24 hours has been a NIGHTMARE. I'm at my breaking point. A whole day wasted and no support from them. We still haven't heard an update and they took our money. They even sent us a text saying we're cancelling your booking basically leaving us homeless in Dubai. My biggest regret is booking with them. I WONT STOP UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED. WE DESERVE A REFUND AND THE APARTMENT WE PAID FOR.

Scam

Never book with them. I have made a reservation B_******* in Iberostar DR. There was a problem with my voucher. Snaptravel sold me an all-inclusive hotel without all-inclusive. My reservation is non-refundable, the amount was paid as for all-inclusive accommodation and I got acquainted with the main office of the Iberostar reservation in Miami. It turned out that my reservation does not exist. Snaptravel claims that hotels process accommodation closer to the arrival date, but this is not true. Iberostar told me that they process all reservations for 24 hours. I have already written to snaptravel several times with a request to send me a confirmation from the hotel or return the money. In response, I only get comments from the bot we are solving your problem. The arrival date is nearest and I still don't understand if I need to book the hotel again or I will be able to get what I booked.

I have a family emergency. As it says on the site, each case was to be evaluated on its merit.

The service person I worked with dismissed my circumstances like they were not important enough to even consider.

While one may get the best rate when it comes time to where you have a problem, this is not the travel service you want to rely on.

Very frustrating and extremely disappointing experience. I do not recommend this travel service to anyone.

Scammers!

I am not sure how this business gets any positive reviews, my experience is they are a big scam! I came across the site while looking for two hotel rooms in Baltimore Maryland at a specific hotel. I was able to book at an extremely low rate. I researched the site as I had never heard of them and there were good/bad reviews and I decided to take a chance and book. The day before we were to travel I received an email from Dean at Customer Support stating that my reservation would have to be cancelled due to an outbreak of Covid which had closed the entire hotel. Hmm... I was then offered a refund with a 20% credit for future travel or reservations at another hotel in the area. I looked at the reviews from the offered hotel and they were really terrible! I opted for the refund. Just to double check on things, I called the original hotel and asked if they were open and I was advised they were 100% open, and there was no Covid emergency. That is when I began reaching out to Snap Travel to get my reservation reinstated. After 4 emails over 2 days... no response whatsoever from Snaptravel. The only saving grace was that Snaptravel had mistakenly only cancelled one room. Due to the tenacity and customer service from one of the staff at the hotel, we were able to get our two rooms as planned. To this day, I have not heard from Snaptravel. This was an outright lie from this company. I imagine they had someone else ready to pay a higher rate than what we were paying and tried to cancel us and stick us in a subpar hotel

Waarschuwing! Boek je hotel nooit met snaptravel.com. Je boekt en betaalt een kamer via snaptravel maar er wordt niets geboekt bij het hotel. Dit is dus oplichting! Je geld zie je niet meer terug en het is een enorme tegenvaller wanneer je bij het hotel arriveert en er blijkt geen kamer geboekt te zijn voor je.

Had to leave my reservation one day early, because of a family emergency, I checked out of the hotel Well before check out time. Hotel said to have a representative from snow presentative from snap travel call them if there was a problem with the refund forefund for the unused day. Called snap travel spoke with a representative explosive explained my situation and received no consideration. They wouldn't even consider giving me credit for that day I did not use. I have used snap travel for almost 68 weeks straight. And they couldn't even give me credit for one day! The they have lost it's lost a lot of business Because they have no consideration For you or your situation. I will never use snaptravel again. Your greediness makes you useless to me.

I purchased an emergency flight through snap travel and didn't receive any email confirmation afterwards that my purchase had gone through. To confirm if the purchase went through or not, I called my bank to see if there were any pending transactions. My account didn't have any pending transactions or any indication for use for the day suggesting that my snap travel purchase didn't go through. I proceeded to buy the flight directly from the airline instead of the third party website. Four hours later I received an email confirmation / booking from snap travel. I immediately called snap travel and requested a cancellation of the flight. I was told a ticket would have to be put in to the manager for a refund and the flight was for the next day. Snap travel purposely emailed me after the flight time passed the next business day to tell me the flight was already under airport control however on the confirmation email I received stated " Your flights are not yet booked. Being that you're purchasing a discounted ticket, it may take up to 12 hours to book your flights. Usually it's instant, but in some cases, especially overnight and on weekends, it may take a bit longer depending on the airlines." I contacted them immediately for a cancellation and refund. I am extremely disappointed and currently trying to dispute this transaction with my financial institution.

Let see where do I begin. One I book my room and it said refundable, then when I went to call to cancel for night because my husband supervisor said he had to leave Sunday for out of town for work, he's a electrician. Know what Snaptravel said I couldn't cancel it's nonrefundable so we lost out on money. Along with when we check in said we book a smoking room when I book for nonsmoking I have 3 children ones a 4 month old baby. You know what Snaptravel said take care of it with the hotel not them and there the ones who sent in the information for a smoking room and thankfully the manager why awesome and she had two nonsmoking room left and allowed us to take one. I will never use again that's for sure.

Snaptravel seemed like a good idea until I had to quarantine due to my kid having exposure to Covid-19 and called the hotel 3 days prior to our stay. They told me they would have gladly refunded me due to the reason for the cancellation, but could not since I booked through Snaptravel and to call them for a cancellation/refund. Once I could finally text the appropriate words to get an agent I was told by Snaptravel through text "We have very strict agreements on cancellations with our travel partners, and cannot make exceptions."
Next time I will definitely book from the source even if it costs me a couple bucks. I would not recommend using Snaptravel to anyone.

I booked a hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. Fully paid via Snaptravel. Received confirmation from them together with directions to the hotel to my surprise when I gt there no such bookings was done and I had to pay for a room again to avoid being thrown out of the hotel. What A Nightmare I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

I had my reservation booked paid months in advance for my Maui vacation. The day I'm suppose to check in I get a message from Snaptravel saying the hotel will not honor my reservation and that i must re book with someone else! They also send me a thing saying I should book with another hotel immediately and allow a few days to change the reservation! They send me this 6 hours before I'm suppose to check in. Snaptravel is the worst, book with someone else or you could be sorry. Very pissed off to say the least. Here is what they sent me:

Samantha (from Snaptravel): Hi Justin. This is Sam from Snaptravel Urgent Care Team. I've sent an email informing you of some unexpected changes made to your booking. At your earliest convenience, could you please review our note and email us back?
Samantha (from Snaptravel): Hi Justin,

Hope all is well. We are reaching out in regards to your booking at Honua Kai Resort And Spa from Aug, 7 2021- Aug, 9 2021.

We checked in on your reservation and unfortunately, the hotel will not be able to accommodate you. This is because the Hotel won't be able to honor your Reservation.

We fully understand that this is not an ideal scenario and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. For this reason, we've already processed a full refund and added 20% of your booking value in credits to your account. Hopefully you can use these to book another hotel. We recommend booking a different property, as it can sometimes take a few days for hotel inventory issues to be fully resolved.

We wanted to notify you as soon as we received the news from the hotel. We also wanted to be as transparent as we could during this time as we know it's not a fun situation to be in.

Sorry again for the troubles, and we appreciate your cooperation throughout this matter.

I was on a last minute trip to see family. I stopped at a Holiday Inn went online to search for deals. Found one for my date, tonight through google. At the bottom of list was Snaptravel for $28 cheaper than everyone else. I clicked, comfirmed my date and payment since it was a few minutes before i would check in i made sure to confirm everything. I payed, walked into the hotel. No Reservation! Snaptravel changed the date on my booking to the following week. It is 12am, i call Snaptravel, CSR says they cant do anything but escelate it to the dept who will call me asap and we can fix it. 15min later no call. I call back a guy says, im glad you came to me because i can help. He says he will escelate it and they will text me right away and ill receive a phone call. 10min later nothing. I call back the girl says she has a record showing i was texted and they tried to call and i need to confirm my phone number again.
She then says the hotel will be able to change my date no problem, which they cannot. Then she said i should hold tight in my car and her supervisor can contact me as soon as possible in 2 to 3 hours.

It is 1:30am. I finally found an available room at a Motel6.
It was either that or sleep in my car.

Nowhere on any information input into any website would i select a date for a week later.
I looked back on all my searches and every search has the same dates.
And i still have yet to receive any info from Snaptravel

I tried to call back and the operator says my call cannot be taken at this time.
