I've used this company multiple times, had a good experience. The one time i needed customer service they weren't there to support. I paid for expedited shipping on wrong item. Sent and email immediately and tried to cancel. Was unable to. And they responded saying they couldn't cancel. So i ended up paying an extra $200. No credit issued nothing but a duplicate order
I have used Smallwoods for years and they never disappoint! Beautiful, framed canvases with unmatched quality. The print refills have been such a game changer. I love being able to rotate photos throughout the year!
I have had my original Smallwoods for years and recently ordered refill pictures for the first time. Switching out the pictures is a pain, the metal prongs on the back and so difficult to maneuver and so easily damage the pictures. For this price there is undoubtedly a better quality closure option that won't damage the product or be so hard to maneuver. One of my prints was also too pixelated/blurry.
Ordered 9 framed photos on 12/28 during a sale. I was notified 12/31 that they had shipped. They were delivered 1/5 and I noticed one was missing but customer service was already closed. Based on my order number the missing frame was "pending." I submitted an online ticket on 1/6 and only then did I hear back that there was an issue with it. Frustrated that it took a week for them to let me know there was an issue. Why not email me when printing the rest of my $450+ order? Their customer service has been good since I reached out, but again frustrating that I'll now have to wait another week before I get the last photo.
I've been purchasing from small woods for a looooong time. They are amazing quality and will continue to buy from them. They stand behind customer service and really appreciate that
I made the mistake last year of ordering a frame that was not refillable. This year I found an explanation on your website that explained exactly what to order for it to be refillable. I am looking forward to saving some money each year by getting a new picture and having a frame to put it in already.
I placed an order, and then within 10 minutes, I went on and made a modification and changed the image I wanted on the wood cut out. They didn't honor my request, and used the original picture.
We have ordered from small woods before. Love the product and understand that anything can happen during shipping. Small woods has always made it right. I'll definitely order from them again and again!
I was sent an email to review my order however I still have not received it or gotten any updates on it. You would think they would wait to send out review emails until there was confirmation that it was delivered.
I've wanted these for so long and finally purchased 4 of them. They are beautiful! Seriously gorgeous! They shipped fast. The website was easy to upload and check out. Quality of the photos are amazing. Unfortunately, The frames are just okay. They could be better quality. The corners have slight gaps where they should have cut them more precisely. Far away you cannot tell but up close it's pretty noticeable. Expected better quality at this price point. I can fix with some wood filler and stain but I shouldn't have to. This is most likely why I won't order again even though they are beautiful prints. Overall I'm happy enough to keep them. I should probably reach out to customer service but have seen complaints about their customer service so I'll skip the headache. Overall still beautiful but quality doesn't reflect the price point.
I was so worried after reading other reviews, and spending so much money on something that could have turned out bad, BUT I ordered 4, and they ALL came out absolutely beautiful, I love them so much and it really elevated my living room. Will definitely order again, and though it's a little on the expensive side, they are definitely worth it! No complaints!
We decided to have pics taken at Thanksgiving since most of the family would be in town. These are a few I had you guys frame for Christmas presents. I love them.
The pictures are top notch quality and the service is great. I reached out to them thinking I would not be able to get my pictures in time for Christmas. They responded in a timely manner and I received them with two days to spare.
Extremely slow response time when communicating with customer service via email. No telephone or chat options to quickly resolve order issues. I went back and forth with them for 2 weeks and they were still unable/unwilling to help me with a duplicate order placed. Used them for 4 years but will no longer be a customer of theirs because I don't trust their business policies.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Smallwood. I paid extra for priority overnight shipping, yet my item didn't arrive on time. When I reached out for help, they refused to issue a refund for the shipping cost or take responsibility for the delay. This is unacceptable customer service. I won't be ordering from them again, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone expecting reliable shipping or support
I ordered 3 prints. All of professional portraits. The quality of one canvas was great, the second was not perfect but I could live with it. The quality of the 3rd is awful; definitely not something I can hang in my home- it's completely blurry. I've contacted customer service and am waiting a replay back
We purchased large format prints from Smallwoods, with intent of using our own frames as we did not like the styles offered. The prints come with a large gap on the side with a barcode, which showed when placed in our frames. Customer service had little care about helping to resolve this issue. I will not be using this service again and caution anyone looking for large format prints to look for another service.
Absolute terrible customer service. I am beyond disappointed as I have ordered from this company for years. However, I have quickly learned that when there is a slight issue on their end, they will do absolutely NOTHING to help correct it with the customer. They wouldn't even allow me to pay for upgraded 2 day shipping to ensure that the pictures get here in time for Christmas for my daughter. Oh, and to try and speak to a manager is impossible. You have to put a request in and wait 24-48 hours for them to respond. Very disappointed overall and will never order from here again.
The photo quality is beautiful, but I was disappointed with the frame color consistency. I reordered the exact same frame (Almond finish) to match a previous purchase, and the tone was noticeably darker and did not coordinate at all with my original frame.
Customer service explained that due to natural wood variation, they cannot guarantee any shade consistency even when reordering the same finish and exchanges are not offered if it meets their quality standards.
I wish this had been clearly communicated upfront, as reordering the same frame color does not ensure a matching or coordinated look. Keep this in mind if you're planning a gallery wall or trying to match existing frames.
