I bought a circular wooden print of our family that was to be a centerpiece of our wall. I liked it when it arrived, put it aside while redoing the living room and when I went to put it up for the first time there was a huge scratch right across the center. Never hung it. Uhhhh it is very sensitive mAterial, waisted 100$. Never came in touch with kids or animals, no clue how the scratch happened but whatever material is used is VERY sensitive! Not happy about this purchase.
I first reached out to Smallwood on Instagram and the customer service was great! After I made my order I was very surprised to get it in as little as 3 days! I am very pleased with how the prints turned out. I ordered the biggest size they make for the wood frame pictures
Words can't even describe how happy I am to have found this website. I placed my first order last week and received my package today. The items are beyond what I expected. So beautiful, excellent quality, and amazing customer service & staff. Will definitely be ordering more.
I places an order for $100. I asked not even 5 minutes after if I could change the image because it was the wrong one. They said that they can't change the image cause it apparently printed already. Very disappointed and haven't even received it yet.
I'm unsatisfied with the quality of the image. As a business that works with custom orders and people uploading there own pictures you need to have a better system to notify if the picture doesn't have high enough pixels. You told me you recommend it to be a minimum of 300 pixels per inch but I couldn't find this information anywhere on your website. I also never got a warning from your website that my picture resolution wouldn't be good for the size print I was doing. Unfortunately we had multiple other orders we were going to be placing as we are in the middle of a remodel but we will be taking our business somewhere else. My suggestion especially after reading other reviews... update your website so it has information about pixel and resolution and maybe have better customer service that when an order is sent in if it has errors or will print blurry message the customer to verify they know this before you waste product that will end up in the trash.
The only reason they received the second star is because we had ordered prints previously that we loved the quality of.
Just received two in the mail- one is okay quality and the other is awful! I can't believe you would even send a product out like this. I got a warning on the one photo, so I changed it to this photo that didn't have a resolution warning. Horrible product! Won't order again- buyer beware.
I ordered two 8x8 wood wall photos... I received two ornaments with ornament hooks. They are telling me it's custom so not their problem. Refuse to redo! Ellie from customer service was more than rude, I'm not sure how she maintains a job in CUSTOMER SERVICE. Save your money! I paid $40 for Xmas ornaments in April I guess
To be honest I was super concerned after my canvas orders ($300 worth) after I got a pop up message saying the were of low quality. In my head I was thinking yeah right they were shot by a photographer... so I went ahead with the order. Then concerned about the pop up I began looking online for reviews and SO many people were complaining of low quality shots being blurry and the company didn't refund their money. So I quickly realized it was screenshots of the images I uploaded not the actual files so yes the quality was very low. I immediately opened a customer support ticket on Smallwoods website about an hour after I ordered (again worried about customer service not getting back to me and the prints going into production before I could fix it) and I was very surprised that a sweet woman named Mackenzie reached out via email and refunded my order on a digital gift card so I could reuplod the correct files. She even proofed the new image quality for me assuring me they looked great. I haven't gotten the canvases yet and will update, however I was please with the customer service aspect and wanted to assure anyone reading these reviews that they for sure got back to me and allowed me to correct my mistake. If you do get an upload error for quality, there is a pop up and you continue at your own risk. As it is a custom order, I can understand why returns aren't taken. It states on their website their suggestions for an optimum print. So I feel like some of these people losing out of their money was due to not paying attention (like me).
I ordered three 25x25 signs. Two came out great. The third was a wedding picture. When I uploaded it on the site, it didn't give me any warning that the resolution wasn't good enough for the size of the photo (like most reputable sites do). They made and shipped me a blurry picture and said they won't exchange it because it was my fault. How should I know the resolution wasn't good enough if 1. They website didn't notify me when I was making it and 2. They never reached out when they saw the blurry picture. Just took my money, shipped it, and told me oh well. TERRIBLE customer service and I will never recommend this company to ANYONE.
Checking bbb.org I found the news release articles, consumer alerts and BBB rating concerning. However, I wanted to reach out to Smallwoods. I called with my custom sign design questions. No Call Center Involved! So nice. Monica, in office was very helpful and patient with my questions as well as walking me through deign process. She freely shared her opinion when asked. I asked about the poor BBB review/report. She shared improvements Smallwoods has implemented. More research showed Improvements were obvious by a consistent upswing in reviews 2018-present, and "MONICA WAS THE BEST!
I submitted a very high resolution photo for a sign I ordered and when it came in it was so blurry! They wouldn't refund me or even let me exchange it! I am just stuck with a huge trash family canvas photo. They clearly don't care about the happiness of the customers! Do not trust them!
Colors vary drastically! I can return minus shipping for an item that is very much not as depicted...
My husband ordered a canvas print of our family for our living room and instead of calling us or even sending us an email about the picture not being enough pixels and letting us know it was super blurry they went ahead and shipped it to us anyways and charged us 60+ for it. BE AWARE!
I order prints that arrived extremely blurry. I spent $190.00. There was obviously no quality control prior to printing which is ridiculous and they wouldn't offer me any options include a discount to repurchase. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
They are not willing to help you. They don't care if your order is wrong. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Go somewhere else and pay more for better custom service cause Smallwoods does not care. They want your money and that's it. Worst service ever, I can not say this enough
I picked a photo that I loved, submitted and paid for my order and waited near the mailbox. It arrived! The picture was so blurry it is unusable. The vendor boasted of a guarantee. I contacted them to learn that the guarantee only covers "pre-made" items they sell. They explained that my picture pixel count was not high enough, thus the fine print. As a consumer I wasn't aware of my photo count, I just knew it looked great on the computer website they provided I DO NOT recommend this company if you are using a photo of your own. Shutterfly is a much more dependable option!
NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was in the middle of checkout when I realized I hadn't applied a coupon code and because the order screen had not processed yet I quickly went back and applied the code. I found out after I had been charged TWICE one without the coupon applied. I immediately emailed customer service where I was quickly shot down and said "as soon as orders are purchased they are immediately sent to processing"... long story short I'm getting two of the same products and apparently "nothing" can be done! ZERO STARS! DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I ordered three 44 x 22 photos and they came in with in 7 days, super fast delivery and they are absolutely beautiful, i 100% recommend getting your pictures from here!
I ordered the Custom Map "Home Sweet Home" wood-framed sign and I absolutely love it. I'll admit I was skeptical after reading some bad reviews about their custom signs especially, as well as their customer service, but I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with my experience! The sign was delivered just 4 days after I ordered it and it was packaged such that the frame was protected and safe. The map of the city matches exactly the preview on the website and it makes a great addition to our living room! I cannot speak to the other products they sell, especially the custom photos, but I would definitely order again!
I have bought multiple items from Smallwoods, not only wall decor but also lighting. I had an issue where the print was a little bent. They immediately sent me a new picture and did not want the damaged item back. Another instance, in Feb. 2020, I wasn't pleased with the picture. They immediately asked me to return it with no shipping charge, and I received a full refund. It's extremely strange to me, that I have had a couple of issues and have had no problems when others have these complaints. It makes me suspicious of these issues.

Answer: I had one print damaged during shipping but was able to fix it easily. They need to work on packing and shipping. There are opportunities for improvement.
