I have now had two issues with smallwoods. My first order they lost and it took forever to finally get my pictures that were very expensive! But they came out very nice black and white. So I thought to give them a second shot. I ordered 3 color picture for my new home. They came out terrible! They are dark, grainy and you can't see the faces. When I spoke to customer service they are very hard to get a hold of and not helpful at all! I sent them pictures and they asked for more because the picture I sent came out bad... when that's the way the pictures came. I now have sent them 2 sets of pictures and an waiting on a answer. These pictures will not be going up in my new home and I'm very upset I wasted my money.
Trust me, I learned the hard way! A $375 order of wood prints and despite images being professional, the finished product was a undeniably blurry and a major loss of clarity from original. A definite disappointment! Unfortunately, no help from customer service!
Definitely do not recommend the wood wall prints!

I would've gave them a 5 but the customer service could be much better. I completed my order and noticed days later that I haven't received a delivery date. I then went and read the reviews and must admit, I was really nervous after. I sent them an email which I received a response that my images were blurry. They worked with me to get the images up to par. The communication is all by email so that process took a week of back and forth discussion. Once completed my images arrived quickly and are beautiful so I'm beyond happy with them. I recommend using a free picture editor On the computer ahead of time to resize your images if you don't have the originals. This will speed your process up and make sure you are sending them quality images for the picture.
I've purchased the exact same product before using professional images and the product was beautiful. This experience, however, is far from that. I loaded professional images(taken with a Canon 5D Mark IV with a professional lens, exceeding the image requirements noted by the website). When loading the images, there was no warning whatsoever and the images looked exceptional in the preview. Sadly, the frames I received were such horrible quality they are literally trash. The images are so blurry I cannot hang the photos or display them. Additionally, I immediately emailed customer service to explain the situation in hopes it would be rectified. I received an automated response with a case number indicating it would be 3-5 business days to respond. Zero response nearly 2 weeks later. I've emailed multiple times, providing the exact image files I uploaded for reference, asking for updates, etc. Super sad to see that they have no customer service and do not stand by their products or mistakes. It is evident there was an issue in the printing process since the images used were exceptional, professional photos. I highly recommend not buying into the hype of their social media ads... This is definitely a total waste of my time and money(spent well over $100) and I'm sad their quality and customer service is non-existing. Beware!
I had already ordered before I read all the negative reviews, so I had been nervous about receiving my frames. Anyways, I received three of my pictures and had to hold back the tears. I am so in love with these frames, I can't even express how amazing they are.
When I was creating them I had a problem with every photograph saying the pixels were to large. And these were professional pictures so I was a bit confused. I wrote customer service and they were great at getting back to me so quickly. I had to change the pixels on my computer, after fixing them the note didn't pop again. DO NOT hit continue, without fixing your pixels I realize that's where alot of the negative reviews come from. It warns you before you put it in your cart, so if you receive a blurry picture, its your fault. Also the frame itself was sturdy, I couldn't be more happier with this company. I am glad I ordered instead of listening to the reviews like I usually do.
They are the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with! They don't answer phone calls, emails and when finally do they are so rude!
I have ordered from Smallwoods 3 times. My first order was perfect and well made. The second order was a gift to a friend and I never saw in person so I hope it was well made like my first order, but my 3rd order was a joke! I've ordered the hanging frames each time. This time the photos came graining the wood pieces at the bottom of the frame never flattened out and I had to hand tie and cut the twine and MEASURE to make sure they hung the same length. My 3rd order cost the post and was complete crap. I of course emailed costumer serves and got a flat out no once orders are placed they are final. This company clearly doesn't care about the quality. It's very unfortunate, I told Mackenzie the customer service rep. I would no longer be using their service, she than told me to take pictures of the prints they sent me and maybe they would allow me to return 2 of the crappy 5 I got. I ended the conversation there. I wish I would have read reviews prior to using their services. How do companies survive on bad service?
I have ordered from this company several times and was impressed when I first ordered however as of my last order in June of 2020 the quality was TERRIBLE! I wrote them and their response was that due to their "growing business they have made changes to their products". So buyer beware it's extremely cheap quality now, the product I recently ordered was awful.
We ordered 3 large pictures of our kids. We open up the first two and they look fine (wood used for framing is slightly flimsy). I open the third box that should have been a picture of my son, and it's a photo of a family I've never seen before. I contacted support and they shipped me the photo of my son. I open that and the photo is correct, but they used the wrong color for the frame! Gave me black instead of brown so it didn't match the other two! I contact Ellie AGAIN from support and request the correct photo be resent with correct framing and that they reimburse me for the cost of that image. I'm told they won't replace and refund. I have to choose. I told them to make sure they actually send the correct photo this time and that I won't ever be ordering again. Terrible customer service. There are so many companies that make this stuff, so DO NOT order from this one!
I purchased a framed photo using one of my professional wedding photos. The picture cane out blurry and the white frame is scuffed up. When I contacted customer service they basically told me, sorry, better luck next time. Buyer beware!
Received our print heads cut off. An obvious error
They told us that's the image that was submitted- ludicrous we don't have a heads cut off image in our library. Maybe we cropped it wrong but that's not what they said. Then they were done with us no more responses no phone number to talk to anyone. Quality control and support is horrendous
I will NEVER, EVER buy another thing from these disgusting people. I uploaded a PROFESSIONALLY taken picture and yes I did zoom in a little bit. I got my order in today and I am soooooo dissatisfied. A professional picture does not turn into junk from a LITTLE zoom. Not to mention, there prices are HORRIBLE. Of course they cant give me a refund because it is customized. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THEM. I had to select a one star when rating but I wouldnt even give them that. SAD, SAD
I am not a fan of how they handled my missing prints. I ordered 4 and only received 1. I ordered with enough time to gift to my mom for her birthday and now they haven't even shipped me a new confirmation or told me they'd rush the shipping and it's been two days.
I ordered a canvas print from this company believing that the quality of their work reflected their prices. I just received my print and it is a BLURRY MESS. I don't understand how they thought..."yeah this looks good. Send it to packaging and shipment." And it wasn't the photo's resolution level at fault here... I had the photo edited beforehand to meet the resolution requirements. DO NOT spend your money here. The fact that multiple reviews are saying the exact same thing is no coincidence. I may not be able to get this dishonest company to refund me my money but hopefully this review can save someone else from making the same mistake. PLEASE BEWARE!
When I received my order the picture was incredibly blurry, to the point that I won't be able to display in my home. I reached out to their customer service and was told that they are essentially not responsible for image quality, but they confirmed the picture was blurry on their end. All I wanted was a credit so I could reorder my wedding picture and all they could offer me was a whopping 20% partial refund... I will not use this company again. This was a mistake they should have caught and notified me about prior to printing and sending to me. If I was made aware I would have submitted another image, but no they'd rather waste their energy by printing and framing a blurred image. Extremely unhappy. The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because they offered a crappy refund. It's almost more insulting that I had to email a couple of times to even get that.
Yes I did read the reviews before punching but I thought maybe it's a fluke and thing happen. But then it did happen to me. You definitely don't get what you pay for I thought after spending over 100 bucks I would get a big beautiful picture. In reality I got a piece of card board with semi ok quality picture printed with cheap wood frame. I am trying to get in contact with customer support and haven't heard anything back... so I guess to sum it up if it appears too good to be true or probably is. Bummer
I was so excited to receive my 2 pictures that I ordered of my granddaughters. Both pictures had their head cut off. I sent an email stating the problem. Got an email back today from Ellie stating that I sent them images with no heads. Seriously! My pictures seem to have their heads. If that was the case why would you go ahead with the order. You should have contacted me. Was told there is nothing that they will do. I'm now out $75. Do not waste your time or money. So many other companies with great customer service. Will never use or recommend this company. I had to give one star otherwise I could not leave a review. They do not deserve any stars.
Ordered a picture of my daughter and when it came it was completely blurry. Asked for a credit to reorder something else was told no. Asked numerous times for supervisor to call back and never received one. Horrible customer service especially disappointed because of the amount of $ I spent with them over the years!
The quality is okay overall. One of my customs came with a black smudge on the white frame that I cannot get off, so I'm going to have to try to paint over it. I think the company is a little overpriced but overall was an okay purchase and received quickly.

Answer: I had one print damaged during shipping but was able to fix it easily. They need to work on packing and shipping. There are opportunities for improvement.
