Pose as Hotel Website - charge card immediately (which no travel site or hotel site does) called to rectify within 3 minutes and given the total run around. Called hotel - they had no record of the reservation. Reservations.com (after several calls) finally stated they would refund but it would take 10 days. They also refused to send email confirming the refund. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and have also filed a complaint about them to the major hotel brand they were fraudulently trying to pose as. That brand was appalled when they viewed the link I forwarded and are looking into actions they can take against Reservations.com. I have also notified my bank that this is a fraudulent website and filed a claim against the charge. Stay far away from these scammers.
I accidentally hit confirm instead of cancel, I contacted customer service immediately and was told that my reservation was non refundable because it needed 24 hours notice. The customer service rep was rude and unprofessional. I spoke with the hotel and the hotel had no problem canceling the reservation for no charge. But reservations.com still charged me. SCAM! Stay Away.
I somehow ended up booking a hotel room through this website (it had disguised itself with the hotel name ahead of it on its url). I was charged $50+ for 'taxes and fees' (on top of their service fee), which is $40 more than the actual tax I found out I should have paid when I got to the hotel. I called customer support to ask why this was, and to have it corrected. After going round in circles being told 'it's a system generated tax', they hanged up on me. This is a fraudulent company, stay away.
Just did GOOGLE search for Boston Grand Hyatt. Search came up "Boston Grand Hyatt" no "bookings.com" on the listing. Clicked and went to site again no "Bookings.com" only official Hyatt logo. Clicked on $289 "RESERVE NOW" completed reservation credit card billed $388.
My intention was to book directly with Hyatt so cancelled over phone. Waste of my valuable time!
Do not use this site for anything. They didn't book our room but charged us. The hotel was sold out and they kept us on hold at least 30 minutes each time we called. They said they called the hotel and we were good to go. We called the hotel and they said they did not have a reservation for us. Their customer support is useless. Their entire system sucks
I unfortunately, feel I was very misled on the phone with one of your representatives. I was under the impression that I called the Sheraton directly. Instead of being told that he could not find my reservation because had called the wrong number he led me to believe that my reservation could be linked. He also told me that I would be charged for incidentals, not sharing that it was not refundable. However, the room booking was non refundable. I also was charged more than what I would have been charged through the Sheraton.
I also called as soon as I made the reservation to cancel and was told that it was not possible. Which would be understandable if I actually saved money going through your service.
A warning especially for the unseasoned traveler. I was on the website of the hotel I wanted to book. I dont know how it worked, but unbeknownst to me, Reservations.com had slipped in there. When I called the hotel directly to ask if I could add the discount code I received. The answer was yes, if you had booked through us. No to you who booked with Expedia." When I checked in a person at the counter mentioned my reservation was through Expedia.
Now to the concern. The reservation I made March 27,2018, resulted in a charge of $766.43 for 3 nights. The charge was processed next day. My reservation was for this past weekend. When I checked out, June 3, I received a room statement of $570.27. The difference$181.
No refund! No supervisor to speak to! The agent just kept reading their policy of no refunds. I have yet to find that policy as it is not on my printed receipt.
So just be careful when you book your travels and by all means avoid reservations.com.

RESERVATIONS.COM is a RIPOFF SCAM bunch of thieves. The FAKE their ID into you think you are reserving directly with the hotel. The reservations & fees I made cost 2.5 times of what was advertised and would not void the reservation without charging a
Hugh booking and a cancelling fee... I rate them as a -10 STAR for their SCAM business tactics. And not the 1 STAR I had to use.
When you think you are calling the hotel number, you're not. Reservation. Com does not identify themselves and you think you are talking to the motel. They overcharged me $103.95 and I have called 6 times to straighten this out. Believe it or not they keep hanging up on me. I'm trying to figure out what my next move is. BBB, Attorney General or a lawyer. They suck, because you don't even know you are talking to them.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this site at all costs. They imitate the website of hotels and then charge immediately with a no cancellation policy which is immediate. Called customer support and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he doesnt want to speak to you.
I would not give this place 1 star, try -5. They overcharge, charge a 14.99 booking fee, set you to believe you are booking with the hotel directly, some pushy customer service, terrible cancelation policy. They will tell you the hotel will not except a cancelation, but I believe they don't even call. They will not cancel even though you never intended to book with them in the first place. They will charge you as soon as you give them your info. They are scammers! You can block there ads on your internet search engines or make sure you know who you are booking with.
Service fee and tax recovery charges were not disclosed until the payment went through. Total scam! And non-refundable!
Pose as hotel site. Dont disclose currency. Wont reverse service charges. Holds money for 10 business days and worst customer service by phone.
They are crooks. I am out $1880 plus the $14.95 service charge on top of that. I don't understand how they can get away with it because I had no idea I was even dealing with them. I stay in hotels 20-25 nights a year and have never had an experience like this. How can they continue to get away with this when there are so many horrible experiences posted on multiple websites?
When we booked (by phone number) at what we thought was the front desk of the Hotel we called. NO we got Reservations.com. We booked our hotel room last February for an overnight stay in April. I called the number and we booked the room with no problem and I even got a confirmation emailed to us. Two months down the road on the day we are scheduled to leave for this trip (literally 2 hours before) we got a call that they were overbooked and there no longer was a place for us to stay. After talking to Customer Service for well over 2 hours our reservation was totally cancelled along with our trip. It was suppose to be an overnight trip with my daughters and friends. There is no remorse at all from this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
WORST online booking experience ever.
I did NOT see anything about them when I was booking!
And I was charged 14.99 additional to my hotel fee.
SCAM!
Do not use, you think you are booking directly with hotel then you find out it is these $#*! clowns charging you in USD to make it look cheaper. Horrible and will not refund your money! BEWARE
I checked my bank account this morning and saw a charge of $14.99 from Reservations.com. I have never heard of this company, have not used them, have not traveled recently and have no plans to travel at the moment. When I called them they could not pull up any information (because I never made a reservation) and could not credit my $14.99 or give me the number to contact someone that could help. Luckily my bank kicked the charge back right away. I would NEVER use this company, especially after reading all of the terrible reviews!
We unknowingly booked a room through reservations.com in January 2018 for a room we needed in May 2018. We found out they had never paid the hotel when the hotel called us a few days before the trip saying they needed payment to hold the room. We called reservations.com and they kept hanging up on us. Scammed us out of $425. This place should be shut down.
I accidentally reserved through this site and spent 20 minutes trying to cancel and they refused to reimburse the $14.99 charge. Please use the hotel website page and NEVER use this site. You will never save money and it your card will be charged immediately!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
