I never thought I would find a pair of frames that fit me but with Lensabl I was able to make a pair of shades into reading glasses and I am in love. Actually putting my prescription to use now because the frames compliment my face so well.
Easy and excellent product-with good communications along the way
For the past two years I've been using lensabl to update my prescription. I send in my absolute favorite pair of glasses and sunglasses that I wear every day. I can customize the tint for my sunglasses and the company always takes great care of my frames. I am a lifelong customer.
I am very happy with the quality of the lenses and they fit great into my existing sunglasses. Only downside is it took over a month to do it.
Overall, the website is very functional and offers good options. It was easy to upload the information needed to fill the prescription. Unfortunately, the website for my order was never updated and I had to keep calling to get the status. The lab initially miss placed my frames. Once they were found, it still took a few weeks to get the order and I had to keep calling in. I would've liked more urgency due to the initial delay and frequent updates on the website.

I've had my old frames for about 5 years and have fallen absolutely in love with them. I was so excited to find Lensabl to replace my old lenses with new ones. Everything was step-by-step and easy to follow.
My optometrist broke my Silhouette frames - I finally found new ones, without lenses, and was able to get them turned into glasses by using the Lensabl service. It was not very fast - 2-3 weeks - but it was effortless, and their progressive lenses seem as good as the competition, such as Zenni. I will come back for more as my prescriptions change, but frames can stay the same.
Three glasses were NOT returned. Has been over two months. Paid to have lenses replaced not returned. No work was done. Unable to get any support on this.
Frame was broken, mis ordered, lenses made incorrectly, shipment was lost. Process then repeated … when glasses finally arrived the lens focus area for near view are unusable. I'm exasperated.
This was one of the worst online retailers to deal with I ordered my glasses at the end of last year December 28th and after they were finally collected from me 3 weeks later they took another month to get done then came back wrong and then took another month to get redone after being told they were going to be expedited which apparently was a month long.
I don't know what it is but my lenses are so bad I can't wear the glasses. Feels almost as if the prescription is too low on the lense because it gets better if I hold up the glasses. Unwearable at the moment.
I didn't give Lensabl much of a challenge because I sent in a brand new, easy-to-open sunglass frame. However, they did a good job and I'm happy with the lenses. I got a brown gradient level 1, and it's very light so you can wear them day or night time no problem. They did have a problem with my lenses and they had to go back through production, but even with that I thought the turn around time was good. It's a little faster than my optometrist, but is also more expensive. I think the benefit to that is if Lensabl breaks your frame, they will replace it so that is worth consideration. Everything came back in a great Lensabl brand package and they did send back the original lenses!

Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
