Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

They took my money and my Tiffany frames it's been three months. I been scammed I have attempted to contact the company at least 12 to 15 times. I was made many promises and excuses. And none of them have been followed through. There is no one to talk to her it is only communication by email. I still have no glasses that my check has been cashed and my Tiffany frames Are nowhere to be seen. I've filled out a report with consumer affairs. Is this a real company
Nice collections of Lensabl with high-quality of lenses, great customer service and the process of order and payment is very easy. I like the lenses from lensabl.
I am very happy to join in here. I got lots of knowledge and happiness in this site. I almost spend my free time here.
Fast shipping, great prices. Super easy to order. Would recommend to anyone who needs an easy lens replacement.
Ordered my glasses on July 6th, 2018. Received them back on July 28th, 2018. I'm sure glad I didn't pay for express shipping, as it would have still sat at the lab for over a week. While the lens is average (they don't polish the perimeter, so if you have semi-rimless buyer beware!).
Also, they will tell you a product has shipped but it's just that the label has been printed. Takes several days between when the label is printed and when its actually turned over to the post office.
This company is not good. They lost the frame I sent them. Then they demanded I send them my current glasses. They lost my current glasses too!. Then they promised me they will send my glasses by next day delivery but I still don't have my glasses. I lost my originals too. I don't know when I will get them. I am going to lodge a complaint with the California Attorney General's office to see if thy will look into the practices of this company.
Overall not a good experience and I will not be using them in the future or recommend them to anyone.
Before I dig into the cons, let me start with what I liked: easy ordering process, cute case that the glasses come back in. Unfortunately, those are all the pros that I can list.
Now to what I didn't like:
* The wait time: It took FOREVER to get my glasses back (note: I was on the East coast, so if you are in the West coast, your shipping experience probably won't be as long). But for me, it took almost 1 month to get my glasses back. It took over a week for the box to ship for me to put my glasses in. It then took a week to ship it back. The glasses just sat around the Lensabl office for another week, and finally it took another week to ship back.
* They DID NOT follow instructions: I requested the original lenses in the glasses be sent back with the new ones that they were being replaced with. Only one of my original lenses came back. I sent in an inquiry to let them know that one of my lenses had been lost and have yet to get a response. I sent in a second inquiry and still waiting for a reply.
* Communication was not good: I kept having to send in inquiries proactively to inquire into the status of my glasses. I wanted them to be more proactive in letting me know where the glasses were or note any delays.
* Edges are not polished: I don't recall even seeing an option for polishing the edges, but my glasses came back with unpolished edges, and I hate the unrefined look of them (I'm going to have to take the glasses into a local optical shop to get the edges polished). I ordered one of the most expensive lenses on Lensabl, so I expected polished edges, but sadly this was not the case.
This was a mistake. I wear glasses and thought it would be convenient to send in my prescription to get the lenses done online.
I thought how complicated can this be. Well, after after paying online with a credit card, a box comes in the mail and you return it with your frames. Mistake number one, these were a brand new pair of $600.00 Philip Starck frames. Included, in the same box were a good pair of rx reading glasses. They were to get the rx off the lenses for the new bifocal lenses for the new frame. They also get a measurement of your pupil distance and segment height from photos you can email holding a credit card up to your face. All good and I thought easy enough.
Well, two weeks later I received the frames back and was mortified my brand new frames returned to me severely scratched up. Not only that, but they discarded the lenses from my perfectly good reading glasses. I emailed them right away and they said they would replace the frames. They wanted me to return the frames, but I refused. I demanded they send me the new frames as I no longer trust their technical competency, as they could not even mount lenses into a frame without damaging the frame. I would get the lenses mounted at my regular optometrist. If not enough, the lenses they made are completely useless. The spacing for the pupillary distance and segment height are all wrong, as confirmed by my optometrist.
I asked what are they going to do about the reading lenses they so carelessly discarded. The reply was we never keep customer lenses after working on them. Noting it is clearly marked on their return boxes. This idiot was emailing back and forth with me for two weeks and didn't bother to warn me.
It's been two months and clearly they have no intention of honoring their word, not surprising at all. I've sent a demand letter and will persue them in court. Will post pictures and the ruling as it develops.
Do not do business with this company! They promised a 2 week turnaround and 5 weeks later I still have no glasses. They claim my lenses have been sent back 3 times because they failed their quality control, but this seems to be a common problem based on the recent bad reviews. Aslo the lens price is double what others charge. Their website is a nightmare it doesn't update, it's impossible to edit prescriptions. There is nothing good I can say about this company. They have refused to cancel my order despite promising me my glasses would ship 3 times. I need my glasses for my work and have been forced to buy a new pair due to their delay. Don't waste your time or money.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
