Gotogate take your money and then pass you off to the airline for any complications. The airline can't help because the booking is not through them.

But my review is even more serious than that! They cancelled my return flight without telling me - not the airline - Gotogate themselves cancelled my flight due to an administration error at their end! So, I paid again at the airport to fly back on the same flight I was originally booked on and then waited four months for Gotogate to resolve it.

They didn't.

So, I took them to court - and won.

Use them at your own peril.

I looked for online return flight tickets from Cape town to London for April2023. Whilst looking at airline websites, the google advert for Gotogate kept on popping up advertising ``cheapest international flights. We offer the best customer service & flexible tickets. Unbeatable low prices on flights. Great customer service & flexible tickets``. Iwas misled as the site directed me to a branch which i thought was South African as it was labelled SAgotogate.com and i found return flights with extras for R9469.81. I intepreted tis as being South African Rands (R). In reality it was riyals (R), how devious can this be!. My bill was ******* rands and to put this into perspective one week later I can get direct flights to London and return for Rands*******.00. Also this website routed me to indirect flights from cpt to JHB then London! Rands******* would have bought me business class tickets
The customer service sucks as
1. The 24 hour telephone line doesnt work,not answered
2.Arabic writing comes up on the chat communication line,and the chat gets terminated by the site
3.emails bounce back

This in my opinion is a company not to be trusted as they use deceitful advertising,are not cheap and mislead as shown by the SA in sagotogate (SA being intepreted as South Africa),and quote prices in R which could stand for Riyals or rands. Why would a British company Gotogate direct me to SAGOTOGATE when i am in South Africa

Scam-oriented

Hello, I was expecting to receive a voucher worth 90% of the original price of my ticket due to flight suspensions caused by Covid-19. After numerous calls, I was informed that I would be entitled to a voucher corresponding to 100% of the value of my ticket due to delays in receiving the voucher. However, after hanging up, I received a code that only allowed me to use half the value of my original ticket without receiving the corresponding link to use the voucher code. When I called to ask for the link, I was told every time that the team would contact me to resolve the issue. Yesterday was the expiration date of my code, and I called several times to find a solution to this problem. I finally chose a flight during the call that was worth only a third of the value of my original ticket so as not to lose its entire value.

Today, I was surprised by an email informing me that my code had expired, so the booking made during the call was obviously not considered (predictable). I called once again and the only response I received was: "Sorry, I can't help you, the deadline to use your code was yesterday," which the assistant kept repeating.

Conclusion: Gotogate's customer service is clearly scam-oriented. I had to make numerous calls and endure delays to obtain my voucher, then I received a code that was not usable and without a corresponding link to use it. Finally i was informed that my code had expired without any possibility of recovering it. I find this very frustrating and do not recommend this company.

One of the $#*!ty Apps they ever made and money scamer on day light time, I booked my ticket from that Website GOTOGATE, and after 30 days they send me an email saying my ticket has cancelled and when I want to get refunded my money they charged me $17 dollars, which is absolutely rubbish policy I ever seen. I would recommend people not to ever buy your ticket from this scam site

I got my flight ticket through SKYCANNER with this agency. My thicket is in April 2023, however the destination is one of the earthquake destination. When everyone is vulnarable, scared, how could I go this place with my kids. The airline is saying I can get full refund as the destination is dangerous, vulnarable place to go. But, this agency refuses, put me on hold for hours, at the end refuse to help. Airline is saying that the agencies can get full refund from the airlines, but the agency says airline doesnt refund. Not trustworty at all! I have never experienced such a bad customer service.

Absolutely disgusting

This company should not be allowed to operate, they have cancelled flights 9 months after booking, after telling me the flights were cancelled. A quick search proves they are lying as the flights are still operating. Refusing to give refunds for the full amount. Absolutely disgusting company.

Flight cancelled and I didn't receive anything

1. On 26 June 2022 I bought 6 Wizz Air tickets for me and my son:
A. From Tel-Aviv to Venice on 16 September 2022 (HB8Z2S)
B. From Bologna to Budapest on 24 September 2022 (Z8WVQR)
C. From Budapest to Tel-Aviv on 24 September (DD1TWP)
D. There was not direct return flight
2. On 29 August 2022, Wizz Air canceled the flight from Bologna to Budapest.
3. There wasn't another flight from Bologna to Budapest and I wrote Wizz Air that we cannot use the continuation flight from Budapest to Tel-Aviv.
4. I bought 2 Wizz Air tickets from Rome to Tel-Aviv (JMCM7B), and 2 train tickets from Bologna to Rome.
5. The tickets from Rome to Tel-Aviv were bought directly at Wizz Air website. The other tickets were bought at the website of Gotogate.
6. Gotogate refused to give a refund and forwarded us to Wizz Air.
7. We haven't received any refund/compensation for the 4 tickets (1b & 1c).
8. It is a pity that I must spend so much time and energy on this issue.

They are a scam, do absolutely nothing, charge fees for canceled flights (within the 24 hr time limit within which airlines refund flights no problem).

Ruined my trip

I had the worst experience with Goto Gate / Booking.com flight. One leg of our overseas trip was cancelled a week before departure. Got an email, with minimal information and no alternatives offered. This is when you learn that the flights are provided by GotoGate and not directly by Booking.com. Called them, of course Indian call center. Could do much, but after a lot of calls we found an alternative flight. They had to run it with the airline. Of course it was rejected, but by then it was 5 days to departure. Again, call center absolutely useless. I figure out which is the cancelled flight (booking/goto gate never told me), and called up that airline and arranged a replacement flight. But in the meantime I got an email again from booking.com saying there is no option, and a link to get a refund. I tought I go and check out that link, I proceed to the second page, hopin that I will get a summary of what will happen, but instead the ticked cancellation process was started. I called them to stop it, seamed like they understand but they didn't. The next morning I got an email that my ticket is invalid and I'll get a refund. We are 4 days to departure. I was mad. I called them like every second day, and only got the same answers every time (waiting for the airline to return the money). It took them 3 weeks to return my money. Never going to use gotogate / booking.com again.

STAY AWAY FROM GOTOGATE

Never EVER book your plane ticket through this website or through any website connected to this company. Don't be stupid, save yourself the headache and book your ticket straight through the airline. It's impossible to accurately stress just how awful Gotogate is to deal with if anything goes wrong with your reservation. I made the mistake of booking through their website after google flights directed me to them earlier this year, when my flight was cancelled due to inclimate weather the airline fully refunded my ticket. However, because I booked through Gotogate the refund instead went directly to them. I've now spent the last two months fighting them to give me the money sent to them by my airline to little or no avail thanks to the fantastically abysmal customer service within this company. Please learn from my mistakes, STAY AWAY FROM GOTOGATE.

The worst service ever...

It was indeed an 'amazing' dealing with Go To Gate Support/Helpdesk Service. Request put up in Mid Jan, and 2 days before our flight departure date (17 Feb), I have yet to receive any confirmation on my request for cancellation of my daughter. Despite getting help from Emirates to split her from the main PNR. Nobody in Go To Gate seems to know what they are dealing with and what to do next, 'JUST AMAZING'.

STATUS OF MY REFUND

I AM EXPERIENCING A POOR SERVICE/ACTION FOR MY REFUND.
IMAGINE THE MERCHANT/AIRLINES ALREADY REFUNDED THE AMOUNT SINCE JULY AND AUGUST 2021 BUT THERE WAS NO ACTION LIKE TO CONTACT ME WITH REGARDS OF MY REFUND.

FINALLY SEPTEMBER 2022 I STARTED CONTACTING THEM FOR MY REFUND BUT UNTIL NOW NO ACTION OR INITIAL INVESTIGATION HASNT DONE FROM THEIR.

"THEIR ONLINE AGENT ALWAYS SAYS " WE ALREADY ESCALATED THIS CONCERN WITH OUR TEAM BUT MY QUESTION IF THIS CASE HAS ALREADY ESCALATED WHY UNTIL NOW NO INITIAL VERIFICATION HAS MADE?

TAKE NOTE THIS IS ONLY LESS THAN 3K AED NOT A MILLION AMOUN!

DO NOT BOOK YOUR FLIGHT TO THEM IF YOU DONT WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME LIKE MINE...

I have been trying to get a refund for 2 months from them after using Booking.com site. I get the same message that the airlines need to refund first and then I will get a refund. Spoke to the airline and apparently there is an industry-wide agreement that the life-cycle of the booking is the travel agency's responsibility. They simply give me the same spiel each time...but apparently "understand my frustration". Apparently the "support personnel are dealing with it" but they cannot let me speak with them directly so again the same canned message. ATAS/AFTA here I come to for an official complaint. Do not EVER use this company to book flights.

I usually am not the one for writing reviews, but i do feel it is necessary that many people become aware of this agency. As a honest recommendation, Please book with the airline or a legit & verified travel agency, even if the prices are a bit higher. GOTOGATE will not represent you as their customer once they have taken your money... I booked my flight way in advance, however the airline decided to change the schedule (apparently this is the new normal); this agency never contacted me or did anything. In-fact, some agent decided that it was the best option for me to fly into a completely different airport in a different province.I am the one constantly calling them to rectify their mistake.but i always get the standard boiler plate answer for the past 3 months "we are taking care of this personally for you, please be rest assured your issue will be handled". I have 30 days or less to travel and they have not yet corrected their mistake. & In-spite of telling them i have a medical condition; this agency could care less...

There was a misspell in one of the passengers name. We bought the flights for 4000,- and when requested the change of one letter, we were told to contact to airline itself. There it was told us we need to contact gotogate for that. So again I asked and it was told me I have to pay 42,-. The bill which came was 102,-. So I needed to contact the service again, and it was told me they send an email with the corrected value. No email received. I contacted the service again, so that I can pay them the 42,- and now it was told me that further fees can apply and it's not even sure whether they will process it until our flight.
Very unhelpful chat which cannot be taken seriously unfortunately

The company is worst they never give your refund back after they cancelled my flight on February 2021. Its been 2 years and still nothing is happening! So upset! Just go for trusted airlines to book for your flight do not get caught with cheap promotions its probably a bait to keep your money.

I've just used gotogate again this time for 3 individual flights on the same airline. LHR-KWI. KWI-BAH. BAH-LHR. Always a bit wary of OTAs but again I'm proved wrong. Price was best via skyscanner search. Direct searching on gotogate.co.uk produced the same price as directly booking with the airline. I booked with gotogate.co.uk to save some money. Again I'm not disappointed.
The ticketing was instant as you would expect. And the ticketing immediately contained the airline booking ref which allowed me to then manage the booking with my FF program number passport etc. I also booked my fav seat at no additional cost.
Very happy with gotogate.co.uk as an OTR. I would use again. Seems all is well unless you might have a problem.

PS. Used again for the 3rd time on a J class booking. It was ticketed in around 8 mins. All checked out with the airline. All again no problems.
