Rates were very appropriate, however the hotel charged to me extra tax payment. Getaroom booking was accurate reliable easy to book, and it was informed to the hotel very fast. I highly recommend Getaroom.

Update - my refund has been processed. I found the social media team to be far more helpful than the call centre staff, who left me on hold for over an hour without any resolution. I appreciate how quickly things moved once I was able to get the attention of the social media team. Thank you.
I have been given the run around by this company.
I booked a room by randomly using their "www.getaroom.com" website for a work-related trip that I was expecting to take but immediately after booking my reservation on the getaroom.com website my specific travel dates and location changed. So I promptly phoned the hotel to cancel and was advised by the staff to cancel on the getaroom.com website and so I called and canceled the reservation the same day. I received a cancellation confirmation email as well. And so much to my surprise a transaction from CCI HOTEL RES *******578 TX was issued to my corporate credit card.
After phoning their 1-*******578 I spoke with several Customer Service Representatives. They recited the policy to me stating a 1 night room charge is non-refundable and there was nothing that could be done. I requested to be escalated. I waited on the line but was told the Manager was still on another call. The rep did provide me with the *******@priceline.com email inbox address to continue pursuing the refund. I decided to disconnect at that point after hearing "even my manager will tell you the same thing" so I found that route to be ineffective and politely disconnected the call. Afterward I contacted the hotel I originally reserved the room at to see if they were aware of this issue. I spoke with their Guest Services Representative and he advised me that the hotel waived the cancellation fee. Getaroom should not have charged me at all.
I've sent numerous emails with no response to the Priceline escalation address and am currently sitting on hold yet again to request a refund. Not great service and honestly I wouldn't use that site ever again... nothing but the runaround and ineffective customer service.

I made a reservation on December 31st canceled it on January 1st, I already called the Getaroom customer service and they just told me that they will take 6 business days to do the refund which clearly has already passed by now, I tried to called them again and just got a message saying that my reservation has been canceled and my refund has already made it has been more than 48hrs since I called the first time and haven't got my money yet.
I understand that it can take some time but it is January 17th by now and still no solution from them.
There's no one to talk to I've been emailing as well and no response.

Cause you guys charge for cancellation but won't let you change the dates
Absolutely disgusting. I accidentally booked a hotel reservation and called ASAP for a refund. They said there was noting they could do and they'd "transfer me to a supervisor" only to hang up on me. TOTAL scam. And all these reviews that have replies from the company aren't truly getting any help or resolutions. Get A Room just replies to the reviews to cover their $#*! and act like they're helping people who have been screwed over by then, when in reality they're not. Also, the customer service call center just screams scam, you can hear a bunch of agents in the background reading off of the same script saying the same thing which is that they can't do anything to help. Such absolute SICKNESS to take advantage of people like that especially those of us that don't have a lot of money. Get A Room will take pleasure in using you, lying to you, and doing nothing to fix it... it was clearly always their intention to hurt you financially. Disgusting.

Made a mistake on booking, called immediately and they were not able to help me at all. No refunds will be given...even though BEFORE checking out it read refundable reservations. Total scam.

Booked my two room vacation through this site. Didn't see small print that it was NON REFUNDABLE. They got the reservation incorrect, couldn't change reservation without cancelling and loosing all my money to rebook. Ended up paying top dollar for rooms I could have gotten much cheaper booking directly through the hotel. They did say they would give me a 10% discount but not until I already paid for and full-filled my booking. A $2800 booking cost me $4000. Booking was made 4.5 months in advance of vacation.

Cheapest rates I could find, the website works perfectly and is easy to navigate!
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
