The representative was knowledgeable, responsive to our request for ground-floor rooms due to our advanced ages and various trouble climbing stairs. I was warned by a review that there is no elevator. We have three women all over the age of 75 staying there in one of two rooms reserved for one night.
Go directly to the resort to book your stay. Representatives are not helpful and cannot modify your reservations. Also booking directly will likely be a better deal as the website seems to automatically go to the most expensive options or not even list better deals.
I was charged over $200 for a $400 hotel room. I was told the room was a suite with a sofa bed. No sofa beds in the entire hotel, and the room was a double for the posted hotel price. So, I paid an additional $200 for nothing. I was not told of the fees when booking, and they refused to cancel the charges. Run away as fast as you can!

Worst experience I've ever had. Booked a room through them and the hotel had a power outage (not getarooms fault I understand that) but I still got charged for the room and they refused to refund me even after I got the invoice from the hotel saying that they never received a payment from getaroom. In other words they stole about $160 from me and refused to give it back. Never using them again and I strongly urge everyone to seek another option for booking a room due to their horrible customer service.
I received a phone call / e-mail they cancelled my reservation within a day of taking my family to Disney. They overbooked!
Your agent that the reservation being considered at SLS Los Vegas was cancellable until Apr. 8 without charge. The confirmation received indicated that the reservation was non-refundable. I made a note when she made the misrepresentation on the phone. When I phoned you another agent said there was nothing she could do except pay me 10% which is your fee to the hotel. Misrepresentations are inexcuseable.
NEVER AGAIN! My husband made a reservation and was told we would have a two bedroom suite. Not the case. We love the hotel and have stayed there many times. I usually make the reservation by calling directly to the hotel but he made the reservation on line. Not very computer savvy and didn't realize he was not communicating directly with the hotel. We were traveling for a family members funeral. Had to cancel a night after arriving but they wouldn't give us a refund for the one night. When speaking with them, there was not budging. Almost $200 lost! NEVER will we use them again! They charged more than what we could have gotten when speaking directly to the hotel. Husband didn't know. Was just trying to get to family during this stressful time. NEVER! AGAIN! The Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees were over $200! Ridiculous! STAY AWAY!
Made a reservation for two nights. The agent only booked one. Their "company policy" says they can't change the reservation. I have to pay the one night and rebook the two nights I wanted.
The service I received exceeded all expectations. The agent who worked with me went out of her way to be helpful.
Tried booking twice via tripadvisor and once through Kayak. Twice received an unexplained error message, and third time received a 'processing, and if you do not get approval email - call us'... till when should I wait before calling? I then called. Press one, press two... most combination led to an announcement - 'call the hotel' and hanging up on me. Finaly I received a representative. He was very polite (hence the extra star), but he couldn't explain the situation, could not verify my previous booking did not hold, and took about 15 minutes of waiting to do so, and then took the exact same order over the phone, at which time it worked. He said that an email should appear with confirmation number within 5 seconds. Well, it did not. So I asked him to provide me with the number over the phone, but he already hung up on me...
I needed to book a hotel in Boston for business and was pleasantly surprised to find an incredible value - 60% less than all the other sites.
I thought the site worked without a hitch and was easy to use. Would use it again. I don't like being bombarded with having to rate you though. If there was a problem it would be different and don't like having to say so much.
Was told my room type wasn't available and I would have to be relocated. I was offered two options and asked to have a day to research the properties before making a decision. I was then called the next day and told my original room type was available!? A bunch of headaches for no reason!

Trip Advisor gave me a list of rooms in the area I was searching and when I clicked on the one I thought would work, I was taken to GetARoom - it was great - easy to use and I have the option to cancel.
The Lady was very helpful and took care of everything I needed. Super happy with her customer service. She was fast and very efficient.
Right after I booked the room I noticed that the exact same room, for the same dates was cheaper on another site. Very disappointed.
SCAM! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. DON'T DO IT. IF YOU NOTICE IT IS A PREPAID ROOM, DO NOT BOOK. THAT IS HOW THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY. PREPAID MEANS NON REFUNDABLE. DISGUSTING

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
