Nice. Details are given but more choices should be presented. Total cost of booking a room should be shown at the first search offer.
Excelente atención y cordialidad del personal. Las habitaciones estuvieron muy bien. El desayuno muy bien también.
The rep was very helpful. She even held the line so I could confirm with a friend whom I was also booking for.
Fist time with GetARoom. They answered my call fast and answered all my questions. They want to help you and make sure answer all your questions.
The booking was simple but I don't like to include the security code of the credit card, I prefer use the plataform for a booking and pay in the hotel.
Tried a lot of others. But, got nothing. Used you (sitejabber) and got all that I needed. Thank you, Will use you every time.
They charged enormous fees on top of the hotel booking and did not send a receipt until I called asking about the discrepancy in amounts charged to my credit card. The fees were 38% over the hotel charge making my stay twice as much as the going rate for the hotel. Customer service said there was nothing they could do and if I canceled nothing would refunded... STAY AWAY!
I mistakenly booked a room through this site when I thought I was calling the hotel directly. In addition, I booked the wrong hotel. I called back to cancel the room, but the customer service rep told me I had to call the hotel directly. She did offer to book the correct hotel room for me, however I declined due to the fact that it sounded shady because she would not cancel the room. I contacted the hotel where I mistakenly reserved the room through "Get a Room" and, cancelled that room and was given a reference number. The charge appeared on credit card last month, I called American Express and disputed it. American Express contacted "Get a Room" and they responded that the charge was valid because I didn't called to cancel the room, therefore the charge for the room I never stayed in would appear on my next statement. I just got off the phone with Get a Room's risk management department and was told they could not reverse the charge because there was no note in the file. I asked if it was possible that the rep I spoke with didn't make a note on the account. He said it was possible but because the account wasn't noted, there was nothing he could do. This is outrageous! I plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau and any other agency I can.
I thought I was booking at one Super8, but got a reservation at an affiliated Super8. Customer service was unable to help, insisting I should have checked the address. Perhaps, I overlooked that and clicking on the desired hotel redirected me to another one and I didn't catch on. Still, there support consisted of them telling me to be more careful next time. Lesson learned. Also, I called Super8 directly. The rates they offered were lower! Another lesson learned.
Peppermill registration tried to tell us that the website didn't confirm the king bed and that we would have 2 queens until I showed them my confirmed reservation. I overheard the same speech to two other customers near me. Their buffet was totally overpriced, $80.00 for two senior citizens.
I just booked a stay with Getaroom, thinking I was on the official hotel website. The Getaroom website is made to very closely resemble to official site. I thought it was a little unusual that there were over $400 of "taxes and fees" on top of room charges of $1,000. Then I read the fine print in the confirmation and it said these "taxes and fees" include fees charged by Getaroom. I canceled and booked directly with the hotel for a total cost of $1,200 - $200 less than what Getaroom was charging me!
Thought I was calling the hotel, was hijacked by these guys who made me think I was dealing with the hotel people. Paid quite a bit more for the room, some of which they refunded after my less than stellar review. This is a totally unnecessary service, and a scam. Just one more hassle in this world i don't need.
I was charged nearly 50 euros in taxes extra to my original online payment at the moment I arrived at the hotel. Not using getaroom again. The hotel was really good
Money was charged twice
Currently I am asking the card company to investigate
It's a very unpleasant site
I spent time with the gentleman to set up the room for Sunday evening, Sept. 9. Unfortunately, when I read the confirmation he sent, I noticed that the date was listed as Sept, 2. Fortunately, when I called back, the young lady who answered was able to make the corrections.
Nice, very good. The best prices and very easy to make your reservation. I would do it again. Many hotels and the website is very fast.
When I saw the room being advertised in Australia and I am booking from Australia from one city to another, I was shocked to find out after booking and paying that the transaction is in US$ and I get charged a conversion rate as well as my room rate. I have used booking.com many times and decided to try trivago but not again.
Looking for a hotel in Venice, where we had not been for many years, I found a room at the Bauer Palazzo, one of Venice's most storied five-star luxury hotels, for what a moderate-priced three-star hotel would normally cost. I was able to book it without problems.
The reservation was completed but far too long. The girl that took my information had an ascent and it was difficult to understand her.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.
Answer: Call 800-468-3578 but good luck. They are scammers
Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
