Ordering front/rear ring and pinion gears for my 2013 Tacoma was a nightmare thanks to the Technical Expert that put my order together. I purposely called their support like to make sure I got the proper gears for my truck. I was not going to order on my own since the info on the website isn't all inclusive.
I gave them all the details: My VIN that said I am currently a 4:10 ratio, with a 2.7 four cylinder engine which is the most important detail, 8" front and rear, no lockers, and other important information. I had a checklist to make sure every pertinent detail was relayed.
When the gears arrived, I scheduled time with my installer. I live in Wyoming and finding a quality installer isn't easy. In my case, they were over the Bighorn mountains, more than three hours away.
Once there, the front diff was dropped and then we learned that the gear set we received was not for my truck. As it turned out, the rear set was not correct either, 0 for 2 there support guy!
So, after two hotel nights ($82 a night) $100 for gas, several hundred dollars owed for shop time, two and a half days of my time, plus time to return the gears once home, I returned with the same truck I left with.
I've done steady business with Extreme Terrain, more than $5K spent this past year. They will never get another order from me. I hate to sound like a male Karen, but come on. You did me wrong, and all I get in return was a sorry, let's reorder the right gears. Let's hope that when these arrive, they are correct. Not feeling that confident to be sure.

I had blacked an item not available due to being out of stock. I set notifications to alert me when back in stock. I had placed the item in my cart so when I got notified when available I could scoop it up. Sure enough, notification, paid and will be here on Feb 7th 2024. From wanting the item and paying for it is was roughly a month. Extreme Terrain made it easy to bring back awesome products.
Ordered exhaust and intake for my jeep. Both came in quickly.
Does not fit. Carriage bolt has extended shank, about 3/4" long. Bilstein part does not account for this, stock carriage bolt will not install.

Answer: They have broken several federal consumer protection laws in my 2 experiences with them.
Answer: Scam as far as I'm concerned. Cheat you out of product and don't make it right, how else do you describe them?
Answer: Not worth giving this company a second chance. Other more legit companies to purchase from.
