Booked a car and insurance from economy booking for a vacation in Europe. When I reached the renter, he tried to force me to buy his insurance, and did some tricks to convince me to do so (claimed my card is not valid while actually charging me etc). After 4 hours (!) of negotiations he refused to rent the car. Wrote about it to Economybookings on the spot, the first not-automatic response came after 3(!) weeks. They refused to refund the insurance for the car. Will never use their service again. Never had issues with others (Rentalcars, Kayak etc). A quick internet search on the car renter showed me they treat many customers similarly. I really wonder why Economybooking ignores such incidents. In the end I wasted half a day, rented a car at the aiport at a double price, and Economybookking refuses to refund an insurance they never actually insured.
We made a down payment through their site and than had to pay the full sum again at arrival at the rental car office. No invoice, no response from customer service. Don't trust these people!

I had a contract to rent a car and my flight was delayed and I missed the connection for the next flight. As soon as I found out what would happen, I called the agency to tell them that there was a problem and that I probably couldn't pick it up, what I needed to do something so as not to lose the money that I had already paid, and they did not want to help, not even to make a rebooking to take the car the next day when it arrived, they wanted to charge me 150 euros to change the reservation and the rent had cost me 160, They told me that they were going to charge for a no show, and this happened more than 6 hours in advance, they are disgusting, do not rent through this agency

We cancelled our car rental more than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, but bookinggroup.com refused to issue a refund. They pretend we asked for a voucher, of course we did'nt, we asked for a total refund of our payment.
We didn't ask for Compensation Voucher, we want our money back!

Lesson learned with this booking agent. I needed rental cause some moron ran a red light and hit my car. SO I booked with this place paid for cancel protection an had cancel first rental I called to see where my refund is because all 3 emails went unanswered. And they tell me it could take 21 days so I have to wait almost a month to get my money back even though I paid for your cancelation protection and I guarantee you they wouldn't wait a month to take my money. Cause they didn't they still took my money I canceled right away anyway. So I asked for fine. Can you put that towards another rental then because I'm gonna need another one and rentals aren't cheap, they couldn't do that. Then they tell me when I ask to speak to a manager. They can't give me a manager. There's no one above them that they can give me to. Really? So you're the only person I can talk to. Run before you make the mistake of using them I will never make that mistake again.

Economy booking is a ripoff Don't waste your money and time on this company because they lied about everything and will not give you a refund if you cancel this company need to be investigated and shut down. I made a reservation to get a rental car for Jamaica. They told me I have full coverage but when I checked on their reviews there were so many people saying they had to pay for insurance when they get to Jamaica so I immediately call Jamaica and they told me I will have to pay extra for US$480 after they told me I had full coverage they refund a part of my money to my credit card company and kept $152.96 for them self so I will have to dispute it with my credit card company to get the rest of my money back. This company is a total waste of time and money please please stay far from this company, because you will regret doing business with them. I wouldn't recommend this company to no one please stay far from this company at any cost.

Thrifty Car rental and Economy Booking both have very poor service and are untrustworthy. I booked with Thrifty in April 2023 for $881.00 Canadian but later found a cheaper booking for Thrifty with Economy Booking for $625.99. I cancelled my initial booking via email and pre-paid with Economy booking. After using the car The Thrifty Agent withdrew the $881.00 from the deposit. I explained that I had pre-paid but he refused to correct the problem or provide his name. Both Thrifty Car Rental and Economy Booking have failed to refund either of the bookings even though I have written and explained the situation to their agents exhaustively.

It was easy to book and u pay what u see. No surprise billing. Ace car rental was prompt and courteous too. Pleasant and headache free experience.
The only negative point was, that the car has a GPS, but it was not reported ahead of time. It would be useful to know ahead of time.
I booked a car online but, when I read the small print, I found that the rental office closed before our flight arrived in Zakynthos. I phoned the Economy Bookings helpline and was very pleasantly surprised with the speedy help they gave. The agent was polite and efficient and resolved our problem within a couple of minutes. The car hire itself went very smoothly. Excellent service - I would not hesitate to use Economy Bookings again.

I got scammed. Given a price for the car rental (which I thought) and when I arrived to get the car it was 4 times higher and they informed me that the price I was quoted was for the (BOOKING AGENT) wtf who ever heard of paying a booking agent to rent a car. Then it gets better, so I cancel at the makeshift rental shack in a dirt parking lot I get my credit card statement and see a charge from Economy Booking for $116.90. Called the credit card company and they said we got you a refund for $56 dollars. I said no way will I let these thieves keep the rest of my money. Don't do business with ECONOMY BOOKINGS they are thriving scam artists. BEWA

This was my first time renting a car, so I don't have anything to compare the experience to, but overall I would say it was positive. It sometimes took more than a week to receive a response from customer care, but as I contacted them well ahead of our trip this wasn't an issue for me. I was accidentally double charged for roadside assistance when I edited my booking, as the edit process isn't super clear, but the extra charge was refunded to me without fuss. I would use Economy Booking again to rent a car in future.
Price was the best for any on airport rental...including corporate codes I have been using for 20 yrs. Was 25% less than my corporate codes, even with the cancellation insurance. You prepay and it is non refundable unless you buy cancellation insurance $10. Rental company was Thrifty. Price was a lot cheaper than the Thrifty site. Clean car. No surprise charges. No hassle rejecting all insurance and no requirement of proof of insurance like most discount places. When you book, you get an acknowledgement of the rental, then that is followed by a confirmation of the rental. You prepay in advance. All the negative reviews were based on the renter's ignorance, not Economy Bookings. You need to read the rental company's rules - proof of insurance, international driver license, tolls, etc. These have nothing to do with Economy Booking. My rental was perfect - just what I rented with no surprise fees. Economy Booking can do a better job explaining the booking process - 2 emails for confirmation. Economy Booking's insurance offer is much cheaper than any rental company's if you need it.
You pay the platform, they send you a receipt to pay $6 USD, but then you have to pay a very expensive insurance.They gave me a bad changan car.

Renting was easy, inexpensive, and amazing follow up. This was the best experience I ever had Renting a car.
I had a problem with a reservation with another company, which forced me to search another car/company. Normally, a last minute reservation is very expensive, but EconomyBookings offered several reasonable prices. This was a very pleasant surprise.
Failed to send a credit card auth as I had booked a vehical for my partner rental company would not give my partner the car without me being there (credit card in ny name) which would have left her stranded with no transport all could have been avoided if they had sent a credit card auth for me to sign still waiting on a refund avoid using them

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
