My vehicle had to be returned because it was considered not safe to drive. Rental company said I needed to speak with Economy Booking to get a refund or credit for days not used because of the condition of the vehicle. I tried calling and emailing, I sent copies of the rental agreement and incident number via email and instructed them to call their client to request documentation. All I have received is emails about Nothing...Extremely disappointed
We had a vehicle for 5 weeks and although it was in dire need of a tune up and service, the car didn't miss a beat. The staff at pick-up and drop off were friendly and easy to communicate with. A very good experience and we'd use the company again for sure.
I rented a van for 7 passengers for pick-up in Izmir on April 6. A man showed-up with a small 5 person car, indicating that this was all they had. I did not accept it. They promised to solve in 5 days and it has been 45 days, and silence. They are just waiting for me to get tired and give up. CROOKS!

I book my car rental thru the Economy8car rental, they charge me 60.00 to cancel, Reason was Breeze kept on changing my time, so I decide to cancel my car rental from Economy an rebook to another rental to be closer to by pickup an drop-off times. I will be avoiding this awful rule company (customer service lady was rude) to a customer service car rental company that know how to treat customers.

I booked with full coverage just to learn that it did not cover anything. At the counter I need to pay much more than planned. I ask for the full coverage money back. Here was their answer:

If you don't want to lose money and save a lot of nerves I recommend staying away from this company. I booked a car at Turin airport for a week, a car for 4 people, 2 large suitcases and a ski rack. On arrival at the airport I could not find the rental company where I was supposed to pick up the car. It turned out that there was a mistake on the voucher I got from economybookings/economy car rentals - the wrong rental company name. The lady at the window then informed me that there was an Opel Corsa waiting for me and that they had one suitcase for the children to hold on their laps. I further found out that they did not have a ski rack, and that they had never offered such a service. The lady instructed me that we had to put 3 pairs of skis inside the opel corsa... Tragedy. I had to give up this car and find another car. Of course I complained to economybookings/economy car rentals and was informed that they would not refund me because on page 3 of the terms and conditions it said that if the company did not stock extras you were out of luck. It didn't explicitly say it was a ski rack. And as you can easily guess a car without a ski rack when you have several batches of skis with you is useless.
To summarise:
1. Offering a car with a ski rack at a rental company that does not have a ski rack on offer is dishonest to me, to say the least. And hiding behind some obscure point in the terms and conditions and not giving your money back for your obvious mistake is below an acceptable level.
2. the "bush" company - there is no phone number on the website, contact only via form. I waited more than 10 days for a reply to my complaint email, then they did not reply to emails anymore.
3. it is best not to have anything to do with them.
I hope that my opinion will protect others from such problems.

Never use this "service". I am shocked, my flight was delayed so I could not pick up my rental as the car agency (Hertz) was already closed. I had assumed I could simply go pick it up today, but I have been told that my voucher is no longer valid. There was no way for me to avoid this situation. I was booking this car for over 6 weeks, so I paid a substantial sum! And now I guess they are walking away with my money.

I booked a car for Manchaster Airport and on pick up the Europcar (the actual rental co.) wanted to force me to pay an extra 200 pounds, on top of the 300 Euros i paid for the actual rental, only for insurance even though i have coverage on my credit card. I asked if Europcar is ok to cancel the reservation from their side and they agreed, but referred me back to economybookings for the refund. It took several emails to even get a first response (2 weeks) and then another 6 weeks with noone to actually get in touch with, only to get a non-relevant answer why they wouldn't refund the money.

How can Economy Bookings even remain in business by stealing? Most rental companies have no charges when cancelling a reservation in advance, in my case several weeks in advance. And Economy Bookings charged me $66.01 cancellation fee! I would understand if it was 48hr or 24hrs prior but several weeks prior? Will never rent from this place again! The price was cheap in the beginning but in the end cost me a lot more than renting a luxury vehicle!

I booked and paid for my booking a month ahead of my trip. I booked a car rental with Dollar car rental and was unable to rent a vehicle because there were no vehicles available at my pickup lox Atlanta International Airport. Due to this my booking was cancelled by Dollar car rental. Since 5/7/2023 I sent an email explaining my situation to economybookings.com *******@bookinggroup.com and *******@bookinggroup.com and have not received a response to my email requesting a refund. I contacted their customer service number tel: *******795 and am constantly being told to send an email to not receive a response or refund. Beware you will not get a response or a refund. Book your rental elsewhere.

SCAMMERS - AVOID AT ALL COST!
My flight got 8 hours delay, so I let Economy Bookings know about it enough time in advance and they cancelled my reservation without any refund claiming that the car supplier can't hold the reservation for more than 1 hour!
There's no one to talk reason to. I tried to ask them to amend my booking and nothing.
Then there's no one to ask a refund from, their customer service doesn't exist.
Never conduct business with this company, it makes 0 sense to pay full price for nothing returned.
This company should be shut down and send the staff to jail.

Price was great, then I researched and saw that the Thrifty Car Rental I had booked through EconomyBookings (at Pensacola Intl Airport) has been out of business for a year! Unacceptable and if I had not checked on the rental company's status, I would have been out a car for a very important trip!

It has been several months since I first reached out to your customer support department regarding a car rental issue that I faced back in December 2022. Despite repeated assurances from your team that my complaint is being investigated, I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution.

I booked on the Economy Booking platform with Sur Price, they are a rip off and should not be in business, I had to complete a theory test before I could pick up my car because I had a German driving licence although I am British. You cannot take out full insurance cover online and you have to do this on site before you are given the car, the price was extremely expensive, also I had to pay a deposit of £200 which I was informed I would receive back on my credit card when I returned the car, that was two weeks ago and I am still waiting. None of these extra costs were declared when making the booking.

Economy bookings doesn't confirm with the company if they have the car you're booking. I showed up to pick up my rental and the company (Thrifty) had no cars present despite my booking. They refused to accept the credit card I paid with at the desk - Economy Bookings had nothing upfront about this being an issue. Why I can pay with a card on their site but not have it accepted at the rental company is beyond me.
I then called to get reimbursed. As it was after pick up time, Economy Bookings and their incredibly rude staff member refused to refund me - even though I was there for my booking time and had to wait on Thrifty.
Thankfully I was booking in my own city, and Thrifty allowed me to switch the primary driver to a family member who could come with an accepted credit card.
The discount wasn't worth the hassle. Avoid Economy Bookings at all costs.

Terrible company that doesn't solve anything, but only steals the advance payment! If you need to reschedule your booking, they will not help you, they will simply take your money and shift the responsibility to their partners, who will send you the same way!

DON'T BOOK THROUGH ECONOMY BOOKINGS! I rented a car with Europcar through Economy Bookings because it was cheaper, and that was a mistake. My connecting flight was delayed, so I arrived at my destination 30 minutes later than expected. I figured that this would not be a problem, but when I got to the Europcar rental pick-up, it was closed. We took a shuttle to our hotel, and came back first thing the next morning to pick-up our car. Europcar said they could not issue us a car until Economy Bookings manually changed the booking to reflect the new pick-up date/time. We called Economy Bookings, and were told that they were unable to change the booking and there was nothing to be done. They said that a refund would be no problem, and we proceeded to find a different rental car and get on with our trip, planning to deal with the refund when we got home. When dealing with the refund a week later, I was told over the phone that it could only be resolved by reaching out to an automated email, which I did, and didn't hear back from them for over a month, even though it says inquiries should be reviewed in 2-3 business days. We were told that we would not receive a refund because we didn't purchase/couldn't show proof of insurance. Not only had we purchased insurance (I have the receipt still in my inbox), but that wasn't even the problem! We were never even given the opportunity to present insurance, just turned away. I responded that this was a completely incorrect assessment of what happened, and we would like a refund because we were never even given the opportunity to pick up our car. I never heard from them again. Don't get scammed by booking through this company, you're better off paying a couple extra dollars and booking somewhere else.

I booked a car through them and upon reaching the renter location, I was denied a car since I had an Indian driving licence. This was not mentioned when they took my money. I have written mails to their *******@bookinggroup.com but received only an auto generated email. What kind of customer service is this? We at least expect a reply of what's happening. Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
