Ripped us off an extra $1000! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! Made a booking online then after 2 days travelling tried to pick up the car. Even though our booking included insurance they would not let us take the car without purchasing even more insurance and charge us an extra $1000! They said the insurance we purchased at the booking doesn't cover you for anything! With no other option available we had no choice but to take the car.

Their advertised price is not accurate. The price doubled when I tried to finish the booking. When I asked why, I was informed it was due to "airport fees" that they could not control. In other words, they were charging the same as every other company, but they wanted to lure customers in by looking like they were charging about half-price. I paid for the car when I booked it. When my group arrived to pick up the car, the driver got charged for the car again. We have now paid for the rental twice. I tried to call and talk to someone and was informed everything has to be done through email. When I tried to lodge a complaint, Coreen, the girl who answered the phone, hung up on me. All the way around, this has been a bad experience. You are smarter to go through a reputable company and Economy Booking alone.

We booked a car in November 2022 and paid the extra for full cover and unlimited mileage as going from Rockhampton to Cairns return. Had to pay a $400 bond upon pick up from Sixt Car Hire but we can't get it back because the paperwork they received from EB stated only a max of 200km per day could be done. Emailed them re this immediately and received an email back saying they would investigate. Several emails since saying they are still investigating. They are based in Latvia so you can't call them, even on the Australian number they give you on their website. If they can't resolve this very soon we will certainly not be able to use them again and we hire cars all the time.

It looks cheaper at first, but extra fees for insurance, child seats etc. makes it as expensive or more expensive as booking directly with Hertz.

These guys are just a complete SCAM!
I booked and made reservations weeks prior to my bachelor's trip to Miami and on our arrival we were told that there were no vehicles available for us at all for at least 6 hours. That we needed to cancel our reservations only through where we booked from. I have now called and sent multiple emails to their support and reservation departments and yet I still have not heard anything back! It's been over 2 weeks now! Absolutely unacceptable!
Save yourself the trouble and hassle of losing money with these guys. I'm now out $500...

On Feb 15 2023, I made a reservation for a car rental from March 10 to March 22 2023 at MCO through EconomyBookings. I received a confirmation and the booking was confirmed with a 3rd party rental company so I contacted the 3rd party company to confirm that there would be a car available for us (I had heard of people showing up with confirmations only to be told no cars were available). The 3rd party company told me that unfortunately that did not have any cars available for that period of time. I immediately contacted EconomyBookings with the email from the 3rd party rental car company stating that they didn't have any cars and EconomyBookings cancelled the booking BUT they never reimbursed their $24.77 fee. I've been trying for almost 2 months now and the fee still hasn't been refunded to our card.
I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. Not only do they still have my money but if I hadn't checked with the actual rental company, we would have arrived on our vacation but would not have had a rental car.

Cancun... Booked with full insurance. Upon getting to cancun, waited 90 minutes to be collected Driver had client in the car. My 15 year old son had to sit on my lap.
At their office (York) which was trading under Priceless, the agent demanded a further $308.00 or he would not release the vehicle.
I'm not prepared to be scammed by a low life.
Economy bookings have done nothing 5 emails have been sent and only a standard generic response. They have your money you see, so there is no motivation to help

Booked a car rental with thrifty car rental in Hollywood airport Florida, in this company's site the review for thrifty was high so I chose it trusting economy bookings representation of thrifty. After the rental Thrifty tried to double charge me another $400+ and charged me almost $200 for tolls, driving just around the area, upon checking thrifty site they have a 1.4 star review which is misrepresented by economy bookings in their site, have I seen thrifty true and actual rating I would have bothered booking with them. DO NOT TRUST WHAT IS ON ECONOMY BOOKINGS SITE DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE COMPANY'S THEY REPRESENT!

I paid for a rental in advance through company. When I arrived to pick up my car from Thrifty the attendant informed me he was not able to honor reservation because they had no vehicles. I've tried contacting through email@ *******@bookinggroup.com and other means and have not received a response.

I booked a car. The day before my rental I called to change the time of pickup. After endless going back and forth between the car rental company and EconomyBookings phone support, the EconomyBookings employee on the phone told me to cancel and book again and that support would refund me one. They refused to issue a refund even after repeated back and forth.

First of all let's start by saying this company is based in,Marupe county, Latvia. A place that is notorious for online scams ripoffs and online fraud.
When using this company to rent a car, you are not given the rental car company's contractual agreements up front, instead you have to pay first, and when you do you may find out like I did that the criteria you need to fall in order to rent a car from the company that they assign you to May impose restrictions on the type of credit card that you use, such as the credit card being embossed meaning having raised letters and numbers, and the characters being written on the front of the credit card and not on the back of the card which will prevent you from renting from that car rental agency. You do not want to find that out after getting to a rental car company in a foreign destination, because you may not be able to rent a car due to restrictions that they apply to their contract.
I experienced exactly that myself, but I did not go to the foreign destination because I carefully read the contractual agreement on the car rental company that I was assigned to.
Also you want to note that you are assigned to a rental car company, most likely a company that does not have a very good reputation like in my case.
It seems like they're using rental car companies with poor reputations in order to save you money.
Sometimes it's better not to save, if you have to put up with all the hassles from a third rate company.
Also I'd like all of you people to know that if you request a refund from this company that you will be charged a $60 Euro charge. And it will take 21 days for you to receive your refund from this company minus the 60-year-old charge for cancellation
There are too many other companies that don't charge for cancellation, and also refund your money promptly!

Service is great but car could be better. Our anyway. Service was quick, service desk person gave me my paper and when I get to the parking I showed the girl the paper all she did she took the paper, and told me the car is there the key is inside. That's it.

I booked a car through economybooking.com because it had the lowest price at my ideal location. The car was provided by Thrifty I rated high for my experience with thrifty. However, when picking up the car the counter asked me to pay for insurance which I didn't need because it's covered under my Visa. He insisted that it didn't cover liability. I didn't have time to argue for $18 so I let them have it. Scam? Maybe!

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
Answer: A complete shambolic company that cons people out of money!
