I had a deeply unsettling experience with EconomyBookings. I had pre-paid for a 10-day car rental only to be refused the vehicle upon arrival due to a supposed system error. The local rental company directed me to EconomyBookings for a time modification.
Regrettably, after a prolonged wait of over 20 minutes on the phone, the agent I spoke with was of no help. Instead, they coldly suggested I email their support team to request a refund. Upon sending the email, I was taken aback by an automated response that it would be 5-7 days before they would even begin looking into my issue.
Caught in this predicament, I had no choice but to rent another car from the airport at an exorbitantly higher rate due to the last-minute notice. Here I was, left paying twice for a service - once for a car rental I was denied access to, and again for a last-minute rental.
To add to the frustration, I am still left in the dark about the status of my original payment. The utter lack of immediate customer support, coupled with the opaque refund process has not only cost me time and a significant amount of money, but it has also left me feeling cheated and helpless. This experience with EconomyBookings has been far from satisfactory. Customers, beware!

I rent a car at Geneva from SİXT, although I have CDW, theft protection full coverage so and so for they told me that I dont have any insurance so I need to pay extra 440 CHF because I was in hurry I paid the amount which is equal to total rent amount. Definitely they are not cheap be careful about insurance issue. I will share this experience with couple of influencers with high volume follower thus this is manipulation and cheating.

They are scammers. They took my booking, I cancelled in 1 hour because what they confirmed in the booking was not what they advertised. Its been 26 days and I still haven't got my refund back. (They charged me the whole amount!). Now I have to dispute with my Credit Card and fight this charge. Waste of time and money.

What they did was very foul do not go to this company. They are a scam, big-time no long story, this company will not refund you stay far away from them.

Imagine my surprise when my booking confirmation reflected a TOTAL charge of 302.75 EUR (prepayment of 103.95 EUR plus a balance due on arrival of 198.80 EUR) to have the ACTUAL charges of 506.47 EUR! Don't be fooled, there are many hidden charges, and if you aren't fluent in Spanish, you could sign a contract that you don't fully understand until it is too late.
Do yourself a favor and rent directly from the car rental companies. Economy Bookings is NOT to be trusted.

If you're using a wheelchair, have them drive you to the car rental place, it's a little walk, especially in the heat.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of renting a car from them and I must say it was nothing short of disappointing. I am writing this review to warn others about the company's deceptive pricing and misleading practices.
I made a reservation to rent a car for two days, and during the booking process, I opted for various car protection packages that were offered. I agreed to all of them, assuming that my rental would be covered with the selected protections. However, upon arriving at the rental counter to pick up the car, I was shocked to learn that none of the protections I had chosen were included in the rental agreement. The lack of transparency and failure to provide the contracted protections left me feeling vulnerable and exposed to potential risks during my rental period.
Adding to my frustration was the upfront fee of 100 euros that I was charged at the time of reservation. I presumed that this fee was a part of the car rental cost; however, to my dismay, I later discovered that it was an additional charge imposed by the company itself and not related to the actual car rental. This deceptive practice of charging an undisclosed fee upfront only became apparent when I was ready to collect the car. It is unacceptable and highly unprofessional to mislead customers by adding hidden costs that significantly inflate the final price of the rental.
Consequently, what was supposed to be a 150 euro car rental turned out to be a whopping 250 euros after accounting for the undisclosed fee. I find it deeply troubling that the company charged me 100 euros merely to reserve the car, which I only discovered after the transaction was completed.
This experience has left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of as a customer. The lack of transparency in pricing and the failure to uphold the agreed-upon protections are unacceptable practices that should not be tolerated by any reputable car rental company.
In light of this regrettable experience, I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with them I hope that by sharing my unfortunate encounter, others can make informed decisions and avoid similar disappointments.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company to anyone based on my experience. I urge this company to address these issues and prioritize transparency and honesty in their business practices to regain trust from customers

Last June, I made a reseravtion through economybooking and got a car when I arrived to Budapest airport. However, the car company was very bad. They put exstra charges after my booking deal. They told me they do not know anything about economybooking insurance policy also. I got very upset and had to accept their insurance. The other problem was my booking was for 4 doors car. But they told me you booked for 3 doors.
I told this problem to economybooking, I asked them to refund the prepayment I made to them, but they were absolutely unhelpful, they did not refund my payment. Actually car rental company told me that economybooking is absolutely unreliable and I realized later that it is ABSOLUTELY UNTRUSTWORTHY DON'T TRY.

Do not rent from LAX Nu Car Rental through Economy Bookings. The paperwork you sign does not show the amount you paid and when they email you the receipt post rental, there will be a different amount shown and additional bogus charges. They charged me an extra $130 after return and when I questioned the charges, the company indicated since they are not at the rental location, they are not able to make any adjustments and the rental location is also not able to make any adjustments. Make sure when you return the car, you don't just park it where the NuCar attendant points you to park, but that you drive all the way back to the area where you picked up the car- that 5 extra feet parking distance will cost you an additional $100 even though you park where the employee directs you. Such a scam business. Very disappointed and will never rent from them again. I'm actually surprised there is no current class action lawsuit against them for the additional illegal charges.

The agent was super cold: I told them That i refused to rent a car that they can t garantee the model... so i asked the cancellation and they immediately accepted it so i accepted to pay 62 euros fees and that my money will be there in 1 month. Awfull service awfull company they dont care about clients

They are a horrible third-party booking website to rent a car. They Scammed me by selling me a "Full Coverage" for the car that doesn't cover anything. Using confusing wording, I thought I bought a full coverage insurance. But it wasn't,
I was never able to pick up my car with Routes because this car rental company would not sell me insurance at the site because I am a BC resident and that the coverage I bought with economy booking was not covering anything. I had to sleep at the airport, lost my rental and lost my money...
Neither of those companies was helpful at solving my problem, and though the fact that I could not pick the car because of their bad business practices, I never got a refund from Booking Group/ Economy Booking...
They are scammers.
Don't use third-party websites for your bookings. Go straight to the dealers because after, both companies can just wash their hands off by saying it's the other company's fault and they keep your money.

We paid in advance and got a booking number and a confirmation from econombooking. But, when we get to the car rental company in barcelona, they told us they could not release our order because econombooking made a mistake and they (the car rental) do not approve an order of more then a month.
We tried to speak with customer service, but they basically told us there is nothing to do. We were stuck in the middle of the night without a car although we already paid for it!
We sent emails to the support center and we still haven't gotten a response.
We had to rent another car from a different company.
We didn't get our money back and we have no idea what to do, because they just don't answer.

Worst experience ever! They are scammers 100% When you purchase their "Full Coverage" it's not really car insurance you're getting but some sort of additional coverage that's not really needed because you still need to pay extra to get insurance with the rental company.
They have horrible customer service, I tried calling the same day, minutes after the pick up time, and no one was able to help me over the phone because after the pick up time the ONLY way possible to get assistance is via email. So I had to send them email which they responded to after 10 days with a copy paste answer from their website saying that they could not refund the "full coverage amount" because it was canceled within less than 24 hrs of the pick up time. But how could I possibly cancel before if I found out about their scam when we had to pay all that extra money at the counter! I'm telling you, they are real scammers! Honestly STAY AWAY!

Economy Bookings sold me an insurance that can not be used in California state. I had to end up purchasing an insurance that was 3 times more than what I bought from Economy Bookings or else the associate from the car rental company wouldn't release the car.
The associate from the car rental claimed that the insurance that I bought from Economy Bookings was not valid in California state.
After numerous attempt of calling Economy Bookings, someone finally picked up the call but hung up on me after I expressed that I would take further action if refund is not being made.
I emailed Economy Bookings the same day I picked up the car to try to understand the situation but did not get any reply until 10 days after telling me that a refund or cancelation can only be made 24 hours prior to the pickup.
There was no resolution other than telling me that Economy Bookings only refund within 24 hours before picking up the car but in my incident. How would customers know about the insurance that can not be used in the state of California if it wasn't stated clearly on the website?
Economy Bookings shouldn't have encouraging customers to purchase the insurance if it doesn't apply to particular states.
Up to this date, no one had reach out explaining the situation other than telling me that they can not issue a refund.

Spend your money somewhere else! They overcharged me for a rental and they when I tried to use their customer service they kept telling me I had to put in an additional help ticket. When I did they never responded. I still have only heard that my ticked is "taking longer than expected". The only hope I have of getting my money back is by marking the charge as fraudulent to my credit card company. PLEASE DONT USE THIS SITE!

I have never rented With this company, so I was a bit skeptical to be honest. They were extremely nice clearly not trying to cheat, which is my fear when I go to the smaller companies because they have a reputation for making the money by keeping the deposit for some weird unjustified reason. Solo is totally transparent shows all the scratches, include pictures in the contract. No fuss on delivery. All good
I booked a car through them by which I googled Rental Car That Excepts Debit Cards and and when I get to my destination and was told I do need a debit card and was denied the car. So after calling for my return they tells me it a NO REFUND POLICY! Are you kidding me? After spending over $300, you just get to keep it for no other reason, but me being dooped into booking through you? BEWARE PEOPLE!

Their service is of no value and you pay for something you can easily do yourself. They charge you booking fees and cancelation fees and have no customer support. When I tried to resolve an issue they were rude and unhelpful. Stay away. You will waste you money.
The refund was issued over three weeks later and I lost over $200 because I clicked on their website. Big scam.
If you feel you must view this site then use it to find the best deal then call the rental company direct. They will for sure match or beat the advertised price and will have none of the ridiculous conditions that this company holds you to.
After I posted this review the company representative messaged me on this site and asked me to contact customer service. That action is just for the internet. I reached out to them several times and was completely ignored.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
