I ordered a car through "economy bookings"; seemingly everything looked smooth but when we landed in Zurich, the rental company was not at the airport; The vehicle and the representative were not waiting for us.
When I contacted the rental company, they tried to pull out time and excuse all kinds of excuses like - your vehicle has not yet been returned; We do not have another vehicle for you; Maybe we'll find you a truck and then you'll come back in two days.

Finally, I had to rent a car from another rental company at the airport, which caused additional expenses; I had to cancel plans and felt cheated!
When I sent an e-mail to "economy bookings", I did not receive an answer and they did not give me credit for the charge (three months have passed).

I got the impression that "economy bookings" are not behind its clientele!

As as Christmas present our son sent both my husband and myself to MLB Baseball Spring Training in Orlando, FL. I went online to find a car rental company and Economy Bookings had the cheapest price. They quoted a price of $133.64 for 7 days. I thought this was too good to be true so I even called and spoke with them on the telephone, found out that they were located outside of the US but the lady I spoke with told me that the TOTAL CHARGES that would be applied to my credit card once I picked up the car in Orlando, Fl would be $133.64. However, once we arrived at the TU Florida car rental office and completed all of the paperwork the sales clerk said that the total price would be $277.78 which is more than double of what was quoted. We told her that this price had to be wrong and showed her the e-mail we received from Economy Bookings. She them proceeded to show us the VERY small print that the $133.64 DID NOT include local taxes, airport surcharge and a Florida surcharge. The clerk said she couldn't do anything about the price since we had gone through Economy Bookings.

I called Economy Bookings and asked them what was going on. The lady that I spoke with laughed and said that I should have read the small print. I told her that I had spoken directly with one of her agents originally about the car rental price and that they NEVER said anything about other charges. Her comment was Oh well! Since we were not going to rent the car we asked her to refund us the $39.64 we had to put down to reserve the car and she said "GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK." THEN SHE LAUGHED AND HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME.

Luckily we didn't pay for the car rental in full only the $39.64 amount that was required to rent this car.

My husband walked next door to Next Air car rental and we were able to rent a car for the 7 days at a cost of $166.32. These people were wonderful. If you need to rent a car while in the Orlando, FL area, this is the company you definitely need to use.

I went for a more expensive deal on the rather naive understanding that I might get a higher quality service. Arrived in Bucharest to find the car rental company had no record of our booking. Spent hours hanging around a portacabin in the middle of nowhere. Delay meant having to pay an extra nights accommodation in Bucharest before our onward journey. I was assured that a Logan Dacia was comparable to any mid size european car. It's not. Its like something from the 1970s. It is now a month and I still haven't received my deposit back. I made a complaint some weeks ago and still have heard nothing back. I rent a lot of cars but I've never had an experience like this. Avoid like the plague!

Russians (these Latvians owners are no different) are morally corrupt -- and this organization is a perfect example. Their website will use your credit card BEFORE you hit their "Submit" button, then will not fully refund the charge. If you call to explain this, they simply ignore you. Any US rental car company would immediately refund your full amount without question.

Using this non-Western organization is classic inexpensive "What you see is what you get" results. Read their fine print, for example: If you return your car early, forget any refund. No such US rental would ever abuse you like that -- they all refund an unused portion of your rental without question.

Best advice -- never visit Russia and never deal with their organizations. There are so many other better Western alternatives. There is a reason why they are so different,,, they are crude and vicious -- read your history books!

We booked our hire through Ryanair because I have found them to be one of the cheapest even if the flight was not with them. They now use Economy Bookings who in turn booked us with Mex Car Rental in Cancun, Mexico. WHAT A DISASTEROUS START TO OUR HOLIDAY. We arrived at Cancun airport from Frankfurt ( by Lufthansa which was excellent) and collected our luggage by 8pm. We went straight to the Mex desk. Nobody there, asked around, 20 minutes later someone arrived who told us to get a shuttle to their depot. Arrived to a long queue. Each person was taking around 30 minutes to get their car. At around 10pm I was served. I had booked a Special which showed a Chevrolet Camaro. I was offered a Totota Yaris. They said that offer depended upon what was available. I said it was a SCAM as if I had wanted a Yaris I could have booked it for much less. It was getting late and we had been travelling for 20 hours. I asked how much a larger car would cost and I ended up with a VW Jetta for $369 which was $89 more than I was supposed to pay. They would not deduct the deposit I had paid to Economy Bookings and said it was their commission. I had no choice but to pay and go. We drove away at 11pm some 3 hours after arriving. I have written 3 times to Economy Bookings but I have not received the courtesy of a reply. This is the very worst service I have received from any hire car firm and I will try to use Hertz in future.

This company sucks their website does not give you all the info that you need and then when you get there to rent they'll tell you that you can't rent for some reason or another that the company will then say was on their website but it was not on a clickable link as of right now they owe me $225 they have not they have not answered my phone call nor responded to my email since my initial phone call I filed a dispute with my bank so hopefully I'll get my money back. Don't use this crooked-$#*! company. They don't even rate 1 star, more like negative stars
