Great prices, great deals online until you actually get your confirmation.
4 star resort becomes a 2 star hotel. Totally understandable that almost never you can get the price as low as that, but it shouldn't be falls advertisement. They made you pay a deposit so you can't get it back before you actually travel. My 5 days, 3 nights became 4 days/3 nights which I also didn't mind, but Very upset to see the confirmation with the place I would never book purposefully. Tried to call and change it to the place I booked online, but was told allocations happen automatically.
Knowing this is a sales pitch for timeshare, not sure how they attract customers with such a bad beginning.
Fraudulent, dishonest company. Obtains cc info by pretending requested booking dates available, then calls days later saying they're not. But, won't refund money.
I booked my first vacation to NYC with Booksi. Never again! It's amazing that the advertised (Facebook) price of $199 turned into $674.78 (plus parking, if you were driving). Everything has a "spin" to it. For example the $150 refundable deposit is not refunded to your original form of payment. It is instead touted as you will receive a $150.00 Visa Gift Card (from the company). It doesn't say that they are just giving you your own money back in a different form. This is an example of how important things are "glossed over" and you walk away not knowing exactly what you paid for. I would not use this company again.
I called to make sure that adding 1 child was not going to be too expensive. I was told that it would not be anymore than about $45. When I went to finalize things with the resort, they said it would be an additional $750 to add the child. I called Booski to cancel my reservation and get my money refunded and they REFUSED to refund my money. They did cancel the trip and they did agree to refund me the $45 a night, but not the rest of the money. The resort refunded me the $750, but I am still out $450 from Booksi who won't refund me. They are a scam and lie to get you to buy their trips.
After spending two hours on the phone…
After spending two hours on the phone booking this trip, I called the next morning to cancel due to the closure of my company and my now unemployed state. They absolutely refused to refund any part of money and were quite nasty about it, saying if i dispute it on my card they will send the recorded message of my understanding of there policy. Shame on me for not seeing thru there nonsense and who wants to buy a timeshare anyway. I would find another avenue for vacation time if i was you. There is a lot of bait and switch here also.
I canceled my reservation 5 minutes after I booked it. Now I have to send a letter for them to cancle it. Absolutely stupid policy. I will never book or recommend this company to anyone. Who knows if you will get the letter in time before the 7 days are up.
Updated from 1 star to 5 stars upon resolved issue. Be aware of the terms of conditions on any desired location. If you are uncertain, call customer service and ask before proceeding with a purchase. Booksi's advertised destinations have very specific criteria that must be met in order to be eligible for a stay. I was not aware of any eligibility requirements beyond income level. Once I posted negative reviews, their customer service department reached out to me and fully refunded my purchase. Additionally, they offered me a savings card for my troubles.
*Edit: The savings card arrived by email and appears to be more trouble than useful. You cannot use the card in its entirety on one stay. Some hotels only offering $3.00 worth of use at a time. Heed my advice and just steer clear of this company and their affiliates: Monster, BookVIP. Way to make things right. Note the sarcasm.
After talking with agent Taylor and being informed that I had to pay an additional $150 (refundable at check-in in form of an American Express card), and that I had gone past a 7-day required period to cancel, and I have to attend a required 2-hour sales speech. I asked to cancel the entire thing. She informed me I would not be able to do that because of the required 7-day period to cancel. It's the typical "bait and switch" process. Stay away from this special deal. Woodrow Proveaux
PLEASE do not fall for this! Remember, if it is too good to be true, it is NOT true! I'm an idiot and fail for it... "what did I have to lose" I thought, they guaranteed you'd get a full refund if you cancelled within 7 days. WRONG! As soon as I purchased this "AMAZING" deal, I called to schedule my reservation... low and behold, I got put through a crazy and hard to follow sales pitch and before you know it, I was charged double what was advertised. And then, when I tried to get my money back, they refused to return the new charges. They said I could transfer those to another vacation in the future... whereupon I'd likely get charged AGAIN! This is an absolute SCAM! DO NOT FALL FOR IT!
Bought one vacation at one motel and got switched to another. Was lied to time and again. Absolutely would never use this company again.
I was just exploring Since We travel at least twice a year. Why not give a try! Booked a 5 night stay with Booksi to Mexico and saved over 600 dollars and it was all inclusive that's a huge savings there me and my husband had the best views and the best time ever at our resort. I would recommend booksi to friends and family help them get a good deal and a amazing vacation.
Bottom line is you are led to believe you are paying a price for a room but the hotel charged additional fees of $80/ night. The hotel said the $234 I paid was just to be able to use their booking platform. It doesn't pay for the hotel room
After they tried to charge me an additional $382 to book the vacation I just paid $399 for, I tried to get a refund and was told no. I came here and left a negative review. I was contacted by Booksi very quickly where I explained my issue. I was asked what they could do to make me remove my negative review. I told them they could remove the extra charge I wasn't told about. The customer service representative laughed and said he couldn't do that but what about a refund. I told him that is the right thing to do but I wasn't removing my review because I felt people should be told about it. Today, I still have not received a refund so I disputed the transaction with my bank and got the money back.
The cost with this company in doing the right thing is that you're not allowed to say anything negative about them. If you do, they will screw you over by not adhering to their own policy of providing a refund if canceled within 24 hours.
They proved they very easily could have done the right thing when they offered me a refund. But telling me I had to remove my review before I could get it is just messed up. Be very wary of the reviews you'll never see
After I purchased my discount vacation, I called to book my vacation 2 weeks later and was informed that I would be required to pay a $200 booking fee and attend a timeshare presentation. When I tried to cancel, I was informed that I only had 7 days to cancel. I filed a claim with my Capital 1 Visa card, which was ultimately denied, sticking me with a vacation I cannot use. Since that time, they no longer provide a phone number to their customers, email is the only way to contact them.
I drunkenly fell pray to one of their ads on IG and thought why not pay $400 for an "all inclusive" trip. Surely I'll be able to use it in the next 18 months. But when it came time to book the trip the hotel I had paid for only had 2 out of the 5 nights that I wanted. I accepted the fact that the week I wanted must be a popular time to travel and I was going to forfeit the other 3 nights. But when they called to confirm my dates they told me the hotel I originally paid for was completely unavailable and I'd have to accept an inferior hotel. I was ready to accept another disappointment because I was only going to cabo to visit my mother but I wasn't prepared for what came next. They expected me to pay a bunch of other fees which in total added up to the regular price I would've paid if I booked through the hotel directly. So in the end I would've had to pay full price after dealing with a million sales calls and then sitting through a 2 hour timeshare presentation during my trip. Booksi is not worth the hassle! Just book your trip through a normal travel site
I received a reservation number with the prompt to call to complete. Called 3 times and still no vacation. No return phone calls as promised and now they cant book the area as promised. Not sure I want to vacation with these people
Fraud I have never seen such a bait and switch three card Molly company greater than this one. First of all I paid $240.33 for a four night stay in a hotel in New Orleans needless to say I didn't get that! I think that is important to let people know that you may read good reviews but if you look into the reviews and Google the names of the reviewers you'll find that they are not real they are bots this company sell more dates then they have reservations space in the hotels. They should be investigated by the attorney generals office for fraud like the other companies that sell vacation resorts with inadequate space availability.
The booking company cancelled my trip less than one month before my confirmed reservation because "the hotel will be undergoing renovations." They refused to refund the money I had paid, and would only offer me a change in sites that included an additional $180 parking fee, or to cancel my booking and forfeit my $150 refundable deposit.
I feel this is a breach of contract since they are the ones who cannot provide the service I paid for.
They get you in by false advertising that you will stay at a resort but when you make your reservation they say we will try our best to put you in a resort but if they don't, call us back to help you, they also take $150 and it's not refundable if you cancel so that's where they get you. Now you're in a hotel but you can't get out of it. Scam and shady company.
I booked first time with Booksi and paid online ($350ish for 5 nights). On trying to set the dates (you'll get email saying not confirmed yet and to call a tel #) they wanted another $168.88 to reserve the dates which I agreed to then they explained that on arrival there is a mandatory 2 hrs presentation... that I refused to do and now I am trying to cancel and get money paid back... not so easy as I have spend the 3rd day trying to call Booksi on tel *******229 and after being on hold for about 1 hrs get disconnected. Pretty much seems impossible to get money back.
In future I'll stick to Travelzoo or another trusted site. I guess if your time means nothing to you and you are okay with losing 2 hrs of your life the rates are cheap
Answer: Our deals show all fees before any payment is made. The fees involved are based on the amount quoted for the offer plus the taxes and fees added in the cart before payments are made. The only additional fees for the accommodation which may or may not apply based on each individual deal is the "Resort Fees" which are charged at the time of booking dates. These fees vary depending on the individual hotel deal. To see if there are any resort fees applied to the hotel you are interested in please view the terms and conditions at the bottom of the deals information. Our offers supply the very best accommodation at a fraction of the cost based on the deals being promotional and offering a "Resort Preview Rate" as shown in the information. This means that these are first time visitor promotions where the hotels will request the opportunity to provide a products and services update to explain the benefits of the vacation based services that they have available to help save you even more money on future vacation. You are not obligated to join anything but the hotel will require your time to explain their services to you.

Answer: Hi Michelle, This usually happens when the financial institution stops the purchase. Please make sure to contact your bank or you can also try using a different card (This can also solve the problem). For your reference, the only payments we accept are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If you keep having issues with your purchase, we recommend you choose a different internet browser and use a computer instead of a Smartphone.
Answer: Hi Mary, unfortunately, we do not have flight deals. You will have to go to your preferred travel agency for this.
