My husband and I were looking for a place to stay to visit my sister and nephew. We found a room at Comfort Inn for $73 and thought it was a great deal. The more we looked at the ad we realized the prices were in US dollars. So I called Comfort Inn and explained we were looking at a specific room and price but that the price was in US dollars and we are in Ontario Canada and needed it to be in Canadian Dollars. The website also stated that it was Fully Refundable, so that made us feel secure if either of us became ill or something happened prior to the trip. So he proceeds to find the room and offers us 2 nights for $209. Which was in our budget and were happy about. Little did we know he was not disclosing the currency in which I would be paying. This is deceit and theft as I never would have agreed to $209 US. There are many other hotels with cheaper pricing, and being on disability and having limited funds means I needed to find the cheapest option. So the next day I checked my bank account and realized almost $300 Canadian was taken out so I jumped on the phone to correct this. I went in circles for hours just trying to speak to a person. The call was dropped and I was hung up on about 4 times. I also requested a call back that said it would be 15 minutes and I waited 3 hours. So then I found a Cancel reservation spot on the website and did that and then I was notified I was only getting back 1/3 of what I spent on the room. So then I then had to call back again and wait in order to sort out the refund. I finally reached a person and they said that the cancellation policy meant that I would not get all my money back. However, the website advertised that the room I wanted was fully refundable. This is now getting into false advertising and misleading people and deception. I was never told about a cancellation policy or that the room was non refundable nor was I offered refund protection. So I called on January 28th around 6:30 PM to book the room and I started calling to get the room refunded on January 29th around 2:45 PM. This isn't even a full 24 hours from booking. I am absolutely disgusted in this whole situation and feel very taken advantage of. I have been saving for 6 months for this room and now I am short for my rent because of the whole situation. Since I am in community housing I could lose my house if I don't pay the rent in full. If all of my money won't be refunded I will be escalating this matter to Choice Hotels.

I called the Hayett in downtown Milwaukee and Joyce assisted me to get a room. She informed me about the hotel, restaurants near by, parking and other questions I had. Joyce was knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful.

I was having trouble online reserving a room I called and was given excellent customer service. He helped me through the whole process of booking. The room answered all of my questions about the cancellation policy and helped me out with a great sense of humor that kept my nerves that bay and helped me all the way through.
Your representative was so patient with me and understanding what my situation was and explaining things. I can't thank her enough. We must have spent a good hr on the phone.
