Worst customer service, and the most misleading website in the industry. They "review" any customer reviews prior to putting them on their website so that only positive reviews are seen. Well, it's easy to write a positive review when defective parts weren't received, and customers who wrote the positive reviews likely have never dealt with trying to get things returned or replaced for being defective. Additionally, the Bama Tunes "professionals" are arrogant, rude, and cannot write effective tunes. I have had nothing but problems with this company for the last few years, but when you pay for a "life membership" in something, it is a little annoying to have to pay for a new life membership elsewhere. Which I have now had to do. So far this company has sold me a bad alternator, then when I called them approximately a week after purchase, they wanted me (while I was broke) to pay over $30 for return shipping to swap a part they sent me that was bad... then when a battery with a 3 year warranty went sour after less than a year, they wanted a shop letter saying the battery was bad. I went to three different shops, including AutoZone which they said to go to, and all I could get anyone to write up is a "charge and return for inspection" notice. The battery had sat on the charger all night prior to taking it in for inspection. AM didn't stand by it. (Summit Racing, however, replaced a battery no questions asked, no hassle, no cost...) Bama Tunes can't write a tune for my 05 GT that doesn't cause the idle to go haywire, nor can they effectively disable a PATS system in a '99 GT. Then, they play "blame the customer". Additionally, they sold me a defective clutch in spring of 2015, didn't even send a new one after I sent them a signed shop letter verifying the part was defective. Now, I have officially had enough as they have been rude and condescending one too many times when I call them out on their lousy tuning and service issues. Online retailers need to have higher standards than these folks... it's beyond sad.
Ordered a styling bar for a '14 mustang GT/CS. They sent me something that was obviously a return. Was scratched and not a good fit at all. Unfortunately, I had to wait for good weather to install it, and now I am out $300 because they won't take the return or replace it - even though it is complete junk and obviously wrong. Now have holes in my car! This is not the first piece of junk I have gotten from them. NEVER buying anything from them again.
Ordered catback system, I got 2 left side tailpipes, this was 3 weeks ago. Called customer service, was told I would receive the right one in 2 days. Well, it was more like 4 days and it was another left side. Another week has gone by and I'm still waiting. My car is sitting at a very busy business, and their on us to get the car out of there. I was told on Friday, I would get it on Monday.It's now Monday and customer service tells me that I won't get it for a few more days! What a bunch of bull.Not a happy American Muscle customer!
I placed an order on 3/14/16. Got an email from "Bama" to provide info for my tune. The next day I got an email that they were out of stock. I was never told which item was unavailable and if or when it would be available. I tried numerously to call the customer support line but could never get through. I tried responding to emails they sent me but could not get a response. I even sent them my phone number and requested they call me when they get time. No response. My question to every perspective customer, if you cannot get reasonable responses for potential orders, what kind of customer support do you think you will get if there is a receipt/product issue?
I called to order a fidanza clutch kit,,,, i was told by lady from american muscle that it was too good a deal and she could not honour the price on web site? Told her about there price match policy and that it was there own advertised price she still would not place my order,,,, called back next day spoke with different person he was going to order part but it was now sold out! I made a complaint but never got a reply,,,, customer service sucks,,,, management in charge of complaints sucks!
Ordered a set of staggered wheels. Rears sent to me. After three month and countless phone calls. I was told the front wheels were discontinued. But good news. I can get a 6% discount on any other wheels they sell. 6 % 's a slap in the face. They have refunded the money for the front wheels. I have sent the rear wheels back to them and was told I would get a refund for them as well. I put tires on the rims so I will wait and see if I really do get a full refund. I will not be buying from them ever again.
I buy a lot of my parts through these guys. Sometimes their cheaper than Late Model Reatoration & they have products that LMR doesn't have so I shop between the two. Always very fast shipping & very knowledgeable staff. One of the best places to get mustang parts.
Ordered product with 2 day Guarantee shipping. It wasn't even close. Called got support and was told that its actually 2 business days - the order said 2 day guarantee, but when it shipped it was ups ground which is really 5 days. Which is what the say they so for free. No where did it give an estimated date until the tracking number showed up a day an a half later. Support was not very friendly. Do not buy from american muscle they are not trust worthy. Buy from amazon - there 2 days is actualy 2 days!.
We ordered a Bama Chip from American Muscle 5 days ago for our 92 Foxbody Mustang. I sat there and filled out the info they needed on the car to tune the chip and after i finished and submitted all the info, they send me an email talking about how the chips were "Back Logged" and wouldnt be processed for 5-7 Business days. I had previously paid for a quicker shipping than what comes free standard so of course, i was kind of irritated. I called american muscle and asked the guy when did he think it would be processed and he replied with "they are working on it as we speak" so i was satisfied, he said it would ship in a couple days. I then called back to change the shipping to next day shipping so that it would be here for my husband, he was excited and wanted it for the weekend. Upon calling i was informed by someone else that it wouldnt process for another 5-7 days so at this point im done with american muscle, my product hasnt shipped or started to process. Dont buy from these people go to LateModelRestoration.com for better service.
Long story short, I ordered a set of their staggered 19" AMR wheels and 3 out of the 4 wheels came scratched. I called their customer service department and it was an argument battle for 45 minutes between their rep, Nate and "supervisor", Tony. After a complaint to the BBB, I'm still not satisfied with their solution for touch up paint reimbursement. It's a shame of all the thousands of dollars I loyally spent for a company to treat their customers like garbage. Never again!
"I placed an order for a staggered set of rims on april 19th, it appeared to be in stock on the website but they only sent 2 rims and told me the other 2 where out of stock. After waiting 10 days or so I went ahead and called them to complain about it, the manager was very nice and gave me a credit for one wheel as a compensation for my loss time. It took another 4 long weeks of waiting and finally received an email that the rims were discontinued. I called and they told me they'd send a return label (which they did) and I will be credited for both rims (total of 359.98), once they received they only sent a 139.99 credit to my card. So I had to waste my time again and call them to complain, they refunded that amount because when I got the rims I had a coupon for $40 bucks (when I order my new set they didn't want to let me use it). Finally they refunded the $40 bucks, at this point I have 179.99 (only one wheel) and they promised they would pay for both so I had to waste my time again and call them, after 30 minutes on the line they finally agreed to credit the rest of my money and blamed it in their computer system. I suggest to everybody if they want to purchase from them, DO NOT buy on their website! Call to place any order and make sure they tell you is in stock. Worst experience buying online ever! I ordered a carbon fiber drive shaft on last Thursday 04/02 and received an aluminum drive shaft instead on friday 04/03. They were quick to give me a return slip to have me return the wrong shaft but I am yet to receive the drive shaft I ordered which was over a grand.
People please understand I know that it only take a few minutes to inspect a drive shaft see it is carbon fiber and ship it out, it should not take nearly a week so far to ship out the item. All I am told by the agents are that the supervisor has contacted the warehouse and haven't received a reply, and when I ask to speak to one they say, why task them for something they already did.
Best believe I plan to not order from them again considering the trouble they cause for what should be a simple process.
Bought a pair of headlights to have one of them be defective and a shorty antenna that arrived bent in the mail. No replies to several emails at all, but will send you spam emails endlessly. Will NEVER buy from this business again.
I have bought numerous items from this company for my vehicle, and there online business alone rocks. They offer free shipping on all their engine/drivetrain parts, ( i think you have to pay for shipping on some body parts and rims/tire packages)
For those do-it-yourselfers, they offer online guides for installing those new parts you bought along with phone support. You can also ask questions regarding parts that you think will not fit to what bolt ons you should buy first. I personally have an account set up with them to help others with this.
All in all this is a really great company to buy form if you own a mustang and are looking to rebuild/restore or just to make it look good.

AmericanMuscle is cheap for a reason. In my case it was because they have awful customer support and will sell you items that they know they don't have in stock. After a month of waiting, I tried to get my money back but they just ignored me.
Eventually, I had to go to my credit card company and have them reverse the transaction!
Buyer beware: americanmuscle was a shocking customer experience and a nightmare to deal with.
