Beware, they lock you in to a 5 year contract, and charge huge cash when you want, or need out! Do not use this Company, it is likely cheaper to leave your wife, than it is to terminate your garbage can.
This company, ever since they took over removing the garbage from our place of business. Has been *steadily* doing less and less, but charging more and more.
We complained for over 2 years and they would do nothing for us. Spent hours on the phone complaining to customer service. Tried to strike a deal, said look. We don't produce a lot of garbage. If you do pick ups half as often, and give us a bin half the size, and charge us half (they are charging 486 a $#*!ing month btw) we would be ok to continue using them. We were denied. So we got quotes from multiple competitors, every single one of them were LESS than half the price. Ended up going with maple Leaf, who is charging us...get this. 135 a month for doing the exact same thing, but with better customer service. When the cancellation was finally completed and we now have Maple coming in next week. We get an email from Waste telling us they don't want to lose us, and are wondering why ever would we leave. The people managing this company have room temperature IQ. Will *never* use them again. Even if they price matched or went lower, *never* again.

I have had four seperate instances when only half my trash was emptied and two different occasions that my trash wasn't picked up at all. (The second time they picked it up the next day after I called but acted like it was my fault.) This has all happened in just the last few months. I have had pretty much the exact same trash load for the last 10 years, Three bags of trash every week but only in the last few months have I had this problem. When I reported it to the company They told me to put the bag that was left in the container on the top of the pile to make sure it doesn't get stuck next week. I explained that it's not jammed in there, I can with no effort easily pick the bag up. I am NOT jam packing my trash, it's the exact same amount every week. At this point I have paid for a total of two and a half weeks of service worth of trash that has been left behind or not picked up.( That is not counting the load they picked up next day)
The customer service woman said I can put an extra bag of trash out next week and they'll pick it up for free, which doesn't help me now, but is unable to refund me for all the trash they've left behind.
So the point is, I pay full price for half the service.
They have missed several pickups. Won't pickup if trash can is wrong place. Won't pick up boxes full of trash. Leave cans in the street. Poor customer service. If they miss a pickup you have to wait a week. Very lazy drivers
An Amy at the Wichita Office N Ohio Customer Service provided me with a great experience. The biggest point, she cared, she called me back the next day about a previous conversation when she didn't have to. Thank You So Much!
This company is the worst option for commercial trash pickup. Beware a contract is for five years and auto renews without any notification of the customer and the only way out is to pay for the balance of the five year contract, On April 1 my building escapes and I am very relieved. My rates have increased just over the last year at more than 3 times the inflation rate.
I have used Waste Connections for many years and though I wasn't all that pleased with the service or the amount of trash their drivers left in the street every time they picked up I had not reached my limit till they recently raised my rates by 22%. I called to see if the rate increase was correct and received a registered letter telling me that it would cost me $2,600 to end the contract. They have a 60 month contract that automatically renews and only allows a customer to leave them at the end of the contract. A local company is happy to pick up my trash for $100 a month less dont know how I got mixed up with this company.
I contacted connection services for a pricing. I did it online that was easy and very acceptable but when I got this wonderful gal KIARA from the Matthews office, she was absolutely so attentive and helpful. I wanted to give a good review for the customer service. I'm at this time not going to go with your company, but it will surely be on, the top of my list if I decide to switch companies thank you so much for your kindness. Missing collection is their routine. Never reply customer's phone call and email. This company is not offering waste collection, this company is just a waste!
Got signed up and paid the money at the beginning of the week. I was told I would not have a tote by pickup on Thursday but would have my trash picked up and get my tote later. I was reluctant to try another trash service bc of false promises in the past from the last trash service. I was reassured that my trash would be picked up that week on Thursday. Thursday NO Trash Pickup! Friday they said due to the weather they would NOT be picking up my trash, my road is CLEAR! But they would try for the next week! So what about the trash left out I asked? I would have to put it up til next week! What?! Crazy! And then was told it would be 4-8 weeks to get refund by Linda. I talked to manager David he told me Linda doesn't know what she is talking about! And I would have my refund this same day, still no refund, ugh! Can't people just do the JOB they are hired to do! You pick up trash! DO IT! Dang! If I could give negative stars I would!
They haven't picked up my garbage in a week. They answered one phone call and ignored the others. They answered one email and ignored the others. They say they can't come out because of adverse weather. Apparently there is a blizzard that is stalled over the Waste Connections parking lot in Palestine. Every other business in the entire county is operating. Waste Connections has a monopoly in my area and seem to feel "if you don't like, find another company".
Unhappy with Waste Connections of Canada. I tried to cancel my agreement due to invoice doubling, inconsistent bin pick ups and lack of customer service. They advised agreement is locked in for 5 years! To prevent a penalty send a registered letter not less than 90 days and not greater than 120 days before agreement expires. If you don't do this the agreement automatically renews for another 5 years. They show no compassion for their customers and can increase the bill without any consent!
The recycle cans have been o0ut all up and down the street have been out since Thursday. They require us to put the cans out the evening prior to pickup. It is now Sunday and they did pickup trash but did not pickup recycle. Recycle cans are picked up every other week, therefore missing a pickup is not good. The wind has been blowing and there are now recycle trash all over the neighborhood, and still no word from Waste Connection... no one to call, just a phone AI which pretty much does nothing but tallies that you called.
Giving the 5 star because of great service by Luis Orozco (Trash Pickup driver, and not for recycling). Recycling services sucks.
This is just a note to acknowledge and thank Waste Connections but more importantly Jelena who goes above and beyond for me as a property administrative assistant to ensure smooth transitions with no hassles. Her friendliness, funniness and warmth - make every interaction with her absolutely delightful!

WCC ties you into long term contracts. They increase your price significantly. If you protest, they will offer a better price, but only if you sign an agreement to further extend your contract. And you cannot add a limit to future increases within the agreement. Be very careful. There are better more ethical companies to work with.
We had an older bin at our business that was rusting and had a very strong odor. I contacted Bonnie through e-mail and sent a photo. It took a few weeks but we now have a shiny new bin! Thanks Bonnie and thanks to the driver, for being such a nice guy too!
Raised rate in March, had another rate increase in october. Called to talked to someone, standard answer is " we will send your account supervisor an e-mail and they will reach out to you in 24-48 hrs." and of course they never do. They are just like Waste Mangement, maybe the same company now. Use to use them and they would do the same thing. Raise your rate every seven months, call to inquire about why they are doing this. You have to talk to your account supervisor, and they never call back
We have Eagle Disposal in Lancaster PA. They haven't picked up our trash in our neighborhood in over 2 weeks. It's so bad that our local TV.news covered the issue on the 6 o'clock news several nights. This is an ongoing issue for MONTHS NOW!
Answer: It's a legit company, but they have horrible business practices. No refund for 3 weeks of non service.
