The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by numerous customer complaints regarding service reliability and transparency. Many users report frustrations with receiving incorrect tickets, unexpected charges, and inadequate customer support, often describing the service as untrustworthy and dismissive. While some customers have noted positive interactions with individual representatives, these instances are overshadowed by a pervasive sentiment of dissatisfaction and confusion throughout the purchasing process. The consistent issues with order confirmation and refund policies highlight a need for major improvements in customer service practices to enhance trust and user experience.

I recently purchased tickets to a hockey game through vivid seats mobile app, upon discovering "cheap tickets" I took advantage of this "great deal" and promptly proceeded with my purchase, I was so happy that I found such cheap seats, I proceeded on with the purchase, they gave me the option to buy insurance for my tickets (a successful attempt at distracting me for the moment) and I declined the offer, I then submitted my credit card information and billing address, it all looked good.
However the next day when I was reviewing my credit card transactions I noticed an extra charge of 40 dollars from them! I was shocked! And I started thinking back as to what could have happened... I realized that after offering me insurance and asking me for all my information, and having me click "place order" about one hundred times, they sneakily and slyly threw in some hidden fees at the last second, catching me off guard. I tried requesting a refund from customer service, they would leave on hold for hours listening to their music, and when they would finally answer, they weren't willing to negotiate at all, simply stating that this is their policy, and that these charges were for the emails they have to send. ( Never heard of such expensive emails)
In short NEVER PURCHASE FROM VIVID SEATS! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND DISHONEST, STICKING IN HIDDEN CHARGES WHEREVER THEY CAN.
I recommend * or * And never to associate yourself with these scammers.

After purchasing tickets with vividseats, I was not satisfied. I did not seem to have realized about some fees and I complained to them. Two days later someone from vividseats contacted me and my issue was resolved. I am really happy it worked out. Thank you vividseats!
Buyer beware! I purchased three tickets to an event, and was shocked to see the total charge after I hit the submit button. They charge a service charge of... are you ready... 33.33%! That's right, this company, who only acts as a go-between for people who want to sell tickets, charged a SERVICE CHARGE of $426.36 for three tickets to a play! When we called they told us that they literally make up the service charge based on how popular the event is. In fact, the service charge is not even the same for the same event. As an experiment, we put in a trial purchase for a cheaper ticket, and the service charge was 25%. Then they told us that if we tried to cancel the charge with our bank, we would not be successful. For heaven's sake, don't use them.
Update: I received a call from a manager of the company, and he offered to refund $230 of the $426.36 service charge. According to other reviews I've read here, this is something they do if you complain loudly enough! Even with the refund, I still think their fees are too high for simply acting as a go-between for ticket sellers and buyers.
Literally the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Tickets said they would be at will call at venue. Come to find out, they were SUPPOSED to send me an email stating that I was to meet a shady fellow outside of the venue an hour beforehand, yet they never sent the email to me. When I arrived at the venue and my tickets were not at will call, I called their customer service and was told that the shady fellow had already left and was not responsible for answering his phone to determine WHERE he was with my tickets and that whoops too bad I was out 700 dollars. As if this wasn't bad enough, after getting off the phone with the rudest woman I've ever spoken to and finding out I was all dressed up with nowhere to go, I find out that the shady fellow had just scalped my tickets and pocketed the money. I tried calling the company back to tell them what happened and they blamed me and told me it was MY fault that he had sold my tickets. Ridiculous scam of a company ever made.
**UPDATE**
Without having to call or bother them, Vivid Seats Management reached out to me specifically to apologize and explain the miscommunication. After talking to them, having bought from them multiple times before with this being the first problem, I would definitely be willing to buy from them again.
I had a bad experience listing tickets with Vivid Seats, but when the management learned of my experience, they contacted me and promptly made things right.
On Friday, October 28th, I went on to vividseats.com. I selected 6 seats at $32 for plaza level seating.
I then selected the link clearly marked BUY in bold red letters (see sample page attached). This prompted me to the next screen,
Login or Register, which I went ahead and logged in.
Then next screen selected delivery method, which I selected Email delivery.
Then the next screen was Billing Information, which I entered in all of my billing and clicked CONTINUE.
Then I got my receipt of $960.00. The total should have been around $200 for the 6 tickets at $32, as selected.
NOWHERE DID I SEE $960.00 total.
Within a few minutes I called vividseats and explained to them that something happened in checkout. They said the tickets were around $130 each. I told them over and over again that that was incorrect and I selected $32 tickets from the dropdown and selected BUY. I spoke to 4 different customer service people that day as well as my bank.
Vividseats told me there was nothing that they can do.
My account was $960 short for 4 whole days.
Customer service is clearly NOT important to them as they clearly SCAM their customers out of money. I asked them to refund and give me the $32 seats so I can stay a customer, that was not an option they said.
After this happened, I went online and found countless other complaints about this company. The same exact thing had happened over and over again.
On the BBB, VIVIDSEATS has over 100 complaints over wrongful billing, just in the last 36 months.
Bought 5 tickets for an event from them. After applying my credit card, the system showed total cost WAY OVER. They charged me $25/ticket extra and Overnight fees. After talking to customer service they gave me $40 back. After receiving my tickets, the seats I thought I purchased tickets for were in fact not the tickets sent to me. I purchased "center" tickets for $100/each, I got "SIDE center" valued at $45/each, but they charged me $100/each. Once again I complained and while it took many conversations, VIVID SEATS finally refunded me $200. They said they will take a loss... well that might be stretching it, but I do appreciate the partial refund. Just be very careful when purchasing from a third party and if we ever use VIVID SEATS again, we will definitely double check the wording for the seats we purchase. BOTTOM LINE, Vivid Seats should screen who it accept tickets from, the person's name on our tickets has his own ticket selling business and he knows how to cheat the system. We even called his business and just said we were interested in tickets, we didn't even get a call back from him.
Their operation is nothing more than a scam ring. I wanted to go to see Theresa Culprit at MTS Centre... when I clicked on tickets, I was immediately linked to their site. I purchased 2 tickets... had no idea that these tickets were priced between 300 and 400 % HIGHER than the actual cost of the ticket. Also when my total came to 400 dollars... no where did it disclose that it was in US funds... But it clearly showed it was for Canadian purchasers... when I gave my credit card to you... the total was just over 400 Canadian... at least that is what I was lead to believe and there was absolutely no disclosure of the actual amount being charged to my card... all I knew was that it was just over 400.00. My email confirmation did not disclose the amount being charged or any of the hidden fees... Now I look at my statement and VIVID SEATS charged me 550.00 dollars... 150 How these people can live with yourself. Is beyond me... they lack integrity, honesty and professionalism. This is nothing but intentional misrepresentation hoping that the buyer doesn't figure it out. From my research, I have found out that Vivid Seat operate their scam within questionable legal boundaries... so disgusting that they would prey on people.(young and old)... and not give full disclosure... Absolutely shameful! My tickets are worth at the most 150.00 Canadian and VIVID SEAT charged me 400 dollars over and above that. PEOPLE... be aware of this company's unethical dealings... misrepresenting so many entertainers... seeing lots of comments from entertainers themselves saying... be careful following the link for tickets. DON't Buy from VIVID... Because unknowingly for you... Vivid has it set up so you go directly to their site... This is a scam operating within questionable legal boundaries, legally... We will also be reporting this to the Canadian Business Bureau and the US business bureau..
I purchased from them 2 Toronto Blue Jay tickets that are $20.00 seats in the gods at the Rogers Centre. When my purchase was processed through my credit card the final charge was $155.22 for 2- $20.00 seats. I have emailed this co. In Chicago and have not received a reply for a refund. However I am not very optimistic about them refunding me the excessive charge, based on other customer comments with the same problem. My advice to customers looking for event tickets is to steer clear of this apparently fraudulent company.
Many of you are mad about the fees. I was too so before I bought them I called and talked to s sales rep. He was able to reduce the fees by 50% and gave me the exact seat numbers which they say they can't do. Since I was paying $1000 a ticket I wanted to make sure I was right in front of the stage. I've used them a few times since and have never had a problem. Stubhub still my first choice but they started charging fees as well. If you really want to go to s concert or whatever and sit VIP you have to expect to pay almost double the asking price.
Horrible Horrible Horrible business and customer service
I purchased from vivid seats tickets to an event for 1200/ticket. The listing said available the next day. This was a lie. The tickets are not available until the
Day of the show and I have to find someone physically to get them from. Because they will only be available via willcall the day of the show. Totally misleading.
Horrible business practice. I called to get my money back. They refused. 'All sales are final.' These people don't care about making customers satisfied at all.
Not having learned my lesson, I placed another order with vivid seats for another show. This time 600/ticket. I specifically chose this listing because they
Tickets again were to be available and shipped the next business day. 1 week following purchase no tickets. I finally get a notification and tracking number that
The tickets are shipping with overnight delivery for the next day. The tickets require a signature. I made arangements to be home to receive these tickets as they
Were to be over nighted. No tickets. Another week goes by and another tracking number and shipping label has been created for overnight shipping. Again I made
Arangements to be home from work to sign for the tickets. AGAIN no tickets.
I spent over an hour on hold trying to speak to someone who could help me with this issue. My concern was that I didnt want this to happen again. I spoke with
Mika, the 'highest level manager' available at vivid seats that I could speak with. Her solution was to offer me the same tracking number I already had. I also
Spoke to Jamila T before Mika. Both horrible customer service representitives. Mika refused to share her managers name or contact information. She refused to
Share her extension.
If vivid seats wants to run a reputable business with solid customer service, this is not how it's done.
I bought two tix to Dead and Co in San Francisco and was denied admission as the tix were counterfeit.
The worst online purchased i ever experienced! I bought a $56.00 worth of ticket for a show + service and shipping. When i received the ticket i saw that the cost of the ticket is only $35.00. I will never buy from this website again!
When purchasing multiple tickets, they never give you the total until after it has gone through. It always says "2 Tickets $200" for an example. Once you push through and accept the order, you get a screen saying "2 Tickets $500."
They are unable to refund your money even just seconds after the transaction. I reached out to customer service to see if they could assist me with this misconception. When not responding with an automated paragraph response, they were very sharp and brief at saying they wouldn't do anything.
This is not customer service, this is not service.
This is a total scam!
I placed an order by mistake. I contacted Vivid Seats literally within minutes of placing the order. They refused to cancel the order, even though they won't even be electronically delivering the item for another week. I asked them over and over, and they still refused.
The order was for over $300 dollars. I now have $0 in my bank account. I'm a single mom with two kids aged 4 and 6. I don't get paid for another week.
For a retailer to refuse to cancel a mistaken order is downright unethical. Don't EVER use these guys.
I've only used these guys for a couple months, but I've had a couple good experiences. My son introduced me to them. He wanted to go to a Pittsburgh Pirates game during week #1 of the MLB season. I couldn't find any reasonable tickets. He come across "Vivid Seats" & found us tickets, just off the field, behind home plate for $20 each... Everywhere I looked, those tickets were like $65 each. Sometimes the prices aren't great, but that's when you leave & go elsewhere. These reviews $#*!ing about them scalping tickets make no sence to me. If they are charging too much, DON'T BUY THEM! I actually just bought some more Pirate tickets on vivid seats a couple hours ago. Give 'em a shot. They are waaaayyyy more reasonable than Stub Hub! Those guys are CRIMINALS!
GAWD! I loathe these bloodsuckers and their ilk. I just don't know what else to say... but I do know that "people" (and I use this term loosely) buy up scads of tickets to every event you can imagine and sell them back to the fans through Vivid or Seat Geek or whomever I will have do deal with next because ticketmaster allows them to do so and then it is impossible for a true fan of (insert your sporting or concert or other event here) has to pay 10 times the price to go to their event. It used to be completely illegal... but now it isn't.
I called VividSeats to find out about Rush (the band) tickets in Seattle. I wasn't aware that they were on tour (since they aren't supporting a record) so I didn't have a chance to get in on the first wave of ticket sales. I have a hurt foot and I wanted to sit in the MIDDLE of the row so stupid, drunk people wouldn't be harassing me on their way to buy more beer, puke or use the bathroom.
So, OK... The band has announced that this is the last big tour they are going to do and I haven't missed them since I was old enough to go to concerts and I didn't want to miss them this time. If this had been a normal tour, I would have probably skipped it because I have an injured foot. This is why I did not want to sit on the end.
So I explained all of this to VividSeats and they said they would look into it for me. 4 days passed and finally they got back to me saying that they can't tell me where the seats are, but they are not on the end. Not "dead center either" but definitely not the end. So I bought them.
The tickets came yesterday and they are seat 3&4, which actually, while not being at the very end of the row, it's dang close. $1700 for a pair of tickets and this was the best they could do? And I'd bet anything that seller has more tickets but didn't understand the gravity of my situation. Or did not care, which I suspect is closer to the truth.
My experience with the actual tickets was fine, It is legit. But the service fee will be about 30% of the ticket price and they charge $7.00 for email delivery. NOT well disclosed fees. Because of the surprise of the outrageous fees, ill never use them again. I had no idea of those fees until my card was charged.
Worst ticket buying experience ever. I spent close to $400 for seats for a concert to take my daughter. I received an email stating that I could download the tickets in about a day. After a day, I received an email stating that there was a problem with my order. I received the email on a Friday night. I tried to call, but their office was closed. I left a message twice AND I paged the person that was on call for the night. I did not received a call back. The concert was on a Sunday and I was leaving out of town the next morning (to go to the concert) and going to be without computer access during that time. I ended up buying the tickets from another reputable site (stubhub) and downloading the tickets immediately. I am now fighting with them for a refund. Oh, and I didn't mention the outrageous service fee they place on their tickets. The fee was very easy to miss as you check out. Never again.
Answer: They are a site just to help scalpers. Don't trust their tickets!
Answer: That is a good concern because I never did and they won't give me my money back either
