The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I purchased tickets to a football game (along with non-refundable plane tickets and booked a hotel) months in advance. Less than a week before the game, I was informed that my tickets were not available and that Viagogo would try to find replacements. The replacement tickets being offered to me were in a higher section on the visitor side of the field. I looked on the Viagogo website to see what seats were still available and there were SEVERAL. There were even seats available in my original section! Those tickets however, were not being offered to me as replacements. I called to discuss this with customer service (which is not helpful at all - they cannot provide any resolution or direct answers). The representative told me that she would request for the replacement tickets to be held but would look for different tickets in a section closer to my original seats. TWO DAYS before the game, I received an email that not only were the replacement tickets sold to someone else, Viagogo was "unable" to locate replacement tickets for me. I had to purchase tickets from a completely different website (never using Viagogo again) and they were double the price that I had originally paid. Worst of all, I booked the entire trip - with the sole purpose of going to the game - as a wedding gift to my husband. Dealing with Viagogo was the worst experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
ABSOLUTELY NO communication. I have emailed multiple times and heard nothing back. I received one completely unhelpful email yesterday. I want the problem fixed and my tickets sent to the correct address. I paid my money, how hard is it to get them to me. Or respond to an email especially when i pay 250 aud for 80 aud tickets. I want someone to answer my questions or give me a refund for undelivered tickets. No matter how desperate you are to see a show, unless you have much money to burn and don't care if you make it or not, DO NOT bother. I feel scammed and upset that I won't get to go to my concert. I would just like answers, this is my first time using a site like this. I will not ever again.
I would tell everybody about this site, very easy to get what tickets you need no hassle, kept in touch with email, service very good from start to finish.
Always works for me to get whatever tickets I want and you always get what they promise. Thank you for a great service
I tried to buy tickets through Ticketek for Fleetwood Mac (sold out) only to be re-directed to viagogo where I could purchase tickets at inflated prices. I chose to try it out but when the event was cancelled and it came to trying to get a refund the customer service was down right offensive "... we consider this matter settled and have closed our case".
This site is all about providing a platform for non-genuine fans to scalp tickets that they purchased with no intention of going to the event.
My parents booked tickets for themselves and some of their friends with ViaGoGo 8 months before the concert they wanted to go to. ViaGoGo's website, confirmation emails and 'online tracking' all assured them right up until a few days before it that their tickets were booked and there was nothing to worry about. A couple of days before the concert they told them they were sorry and that they didn't actually have any tickets for them and that another company which ViaGoGo now claimed they had been going to buy them from hadn't supplied them. Yet for all the rest of that 8 months they had their money and let them believe their tickets were already booked. As a result they couldn't get any tickets at all - it was too late. Apparently the price of tickets rises the closer to an event it gets - so lots of companies attempt to sell on tickets already booked and paid for by other people for higher prices at the last minute. Can't say whether ViaGoGo or the company they claim they contracted with did this, but i can say their website and service makes utterly and completely misleading claims. Based on my parents' experience I would never, ever book any tickets with ViaGoGo - they seem to be neither honest nor reliable.
ViaGoGo told my parents they would get their money back, but no compensation - but if they hadn't told them their tickets were already booked and ready for 8 months they could have got tickets elsewhere - instead, big disappointment for everyone involved just so ViaGoGo can maximise its revenues.
Brought tickets to see jessy j, was sent an email, twice to say they hadnt got our tickets that we had brought but could offer us two different tickets for different seats not once but twice, then for no tickets to turn up. One very dissappointed 14year old whos birthday present it was, so viagogo you are lucky you are not based in the uk, because i personally would off went to your office and pulled you over the counter.
The company is a joke. I tried to purchase tickets 6 times. After it had said the transaction had gone through, I would get a message 30 minutes later saying the transaction was cancelled. This was both through the website, and their phone centre after waiting for ages to speak to anyone, and trying a range of different cards (to try and work around them saying it was a problem with my bank).
I tried one more time and the transaction went through. Finally!
Then I got another message about 4 hours later saying a transaction they had previously told me had failed had now gone through. So I had bought the same tickets twice.
I rang up to see what could be done. I was told they could cancel the 2nd transaction. I was told that I could also resell the tickets.
I was put through to another call centre, after another delay, and then told that someone would call me back. They didnt. I rung up again and after another delay I was told I needed to be put through to a special line. I waited on hold for 36 minutes. I hang up and tried again. This time I was told that the tickets could not be cancelled - even though the seller had not confirmed the tickets. I was also now told that I could not resell the tickets - because they could not guarantee the new buyer would receive them EVEN THOUGH THEY CANT EVEN GUARANTEE THAT I WILL RECEIVE THEM.
So I dont know if I have the tickets, and wont know until just before the event starts. And even if I did know, I couldnt sell them. The worst part is that the place I am supposed to get the tickets from is the exact same place any buyer who I would sell them to would get them from - the venue. So they say their system wont allow sales within 2 days before the event, even though I bought them in that time, and even through the seller would get them the same place I am supposed to get the tickets - viagogo's desk at the venue.
So they have charged me twice, and two hefty commissions, but they dont have to provide you with any customer service because "they just provide a market between buyer and seller."
If you want to roll the dice and waste your money, (via) go for it
Great site... went to a borussia dortmund game. Tickets overpriced but apart from that. Everything else was great,,,
I bought a last minute ticket to see Barry Gibb at the o2 in London, as I was flying from Minneapolis a few days before. The experience was superb, and my eTicket was available to print within a day. I made it to the concert, scanned my ticket and enjoyed the show! Thanks Viagogo!
The best place to deal with for tickets I just bought tickets and they send the tickets on time in to my home as they told me in the email,, really looking forward to deal with this great site all time
Listed tickets and was paid promptly by Viagogo once they were sold and delivered. A hassle-free experience.
Bought a ticket for Neil Young at O2 for twice the ticket's face value. The gig was then cancelled by the band. I only found out the night before when I was researching parking on the O2 website. I immediately contacted Viagogo (no telephone number given on their website) by email. No response. I emailed them again and was told that my ticket was not returned to them in time and there would be no refund. I have lost £110. Don't use this site. They are registered in Switzerland so not regulated by Trading Standards. There are literally dozens of people posting on message sites who have lost hundreds of pounds with them.
I got a ticket for the Real Madrid v Man United match. The tickets themselves ranged in all sorts of prices, some were horrendously expensive. However I waited until a week before the match and found a ticket which cost 156 pounds as opposed to the face value of 80 pounds. It was a bit expensive but it was delivered to me within three days so I didn't need to worry about not getting it on time.
The site is easy to use and if you can find a ticket that you consider to be value then it is well worthwhile. If the tickets are too expensive then it hasn't cost you anything to search on the site.
Very fast dispatch, Great seats.
A very happy customer.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
