The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

My wife purchased 2 x Silver Class tickets back in June 2014 for the Eagles Concert at Perth Arena on 18th Feb 2015 when ticket sales were first released. Tickets cost AUD$319 each +Booking Fee $95.70 + postage $15.95 = Total $749.65 Tickets arrived some 6 months later by mail and were stored until the concert day. We arrived 30 minutes before start (bad traffic) and were horrified when we were directed to very basic $169-00 seats high up in the side of the stadium. Very poor budget seats a long way from where we should have been sitting. It was my Birthday present from my wife and it spoiled our evening. We were ripped off.
It is total fraud and disgusting what they are getting way with.
Total scam!, purchased what was sold as VIP tickets@ VIP prices, only to get to the event and was denied entry as tickets were altered/doctered FRAUD! Not at all what was paid for /purchased, still awaiting a reply, Lesson learnt here dont trust this site, i will be letting every person i know about this and will be taking it to the NEW ZEALAND MEDIA...
Bought tickets for Madrid Athletico v Real Madrid. Game was sold out. The tickets worked fine, so that was great. But the date of the game had moved, and we had questions about the ticket authenticity. Viagogo couldn't confirm if the tickets were real. And the tickets were expensive. So it was disconcerting to be going to the game, and not knowing if the tickets were real. They need a system to confirm ticket validity.
Bought 3 London theatre tickets when they were running a 15% promotion (on fees and face!). We went all smoothly into our seats and enjoyed Mama Mia!
Viagogo was excellent! Not only did the australian open semis tickets arrive 3 weeks ahead of schedule they were also quick to respond to my queries and concerns. They even emailed me on the day of the event with a phone number in case anything happens. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you viagogo for a night to remember :)
All in all a decent experience. I live in San Francisco and wanted tickets to the Ajax v Groningen match last month in Amsterdam. The tickets I got from Viagogo were well priced (better than primary) and available electronically. The 'guest' checkout flow was efficient and while not truly a guest experience, it was reasonably well structured. The game itself was something else, everything I wanted out of a top flight European football experience (except for the rain, but what do you want in the wintertime in northern Europe?).
This is a secondary ticket marketplace so there are obviously fees that were charged over the face value of the seats. Until or unless primary ticket sources get their act together sites like Viagogo and StubHub are often better options. To my mind the experience was worth the money and since I did research ahead of time I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of.
What a scam do not buy your tickets from this site. Paid $1277 on the day of ticket release can buy now 5months later at $600
Stay clear of this website! I paid $169 each for 3 premium tickets to the semi-final of the Asian cup soccer game and received 3 x $25 tickets.
Further I was charged a massive booking fee of $76.05 and a handling fee of $4.95. All in all, $588.00 for $75 worth of tickets, that weren't delivered till the day of match. A markup of $500. I was taken in. My advice: Don't waste your time and money, go on the official site to buy your tickets and stop these 2nd handlers.
Massively marked up price on tickets for the Asian cup. A huge rip off please do not use them.
Brought tickets for a Rod Stewart concert with a 100% mark up. Tickets were advertised as $173 and appeared to match on the stadium seating plan, but when the tickets arrived they were in fact $92 tickets. Is this just legal scalping?
Would never use this site again.
Viagogo!
What a night mare. Still waiting for them to confirm my purchase owing to them sending everything to a wrong email address? This purchase is now 2 Months old and I have emailed them several times a week with no response.
NEVER BUY FROM VIAGOGO
Took my money 7 months in advance of event, advised day before they had no tickets for us. Sure they offered a refund of the ticket price but we still lost on train tickets, hotel costs and days off work. VIAGOGO... as far away from this company as you can!
The ATP tour final was altered (not cancelled) and O2 offered all buyers a 60% refund on the purchase price of their tickets. I had sold a pair of tickets to this final on viagogo for £230 per ticket. When the news about the 60% refund came out, I accepted this and was expecting only 40% of the ticket sales price less the 10%+VAT ViaGoGo selling fee. To my disgust ViaGoGo had applied their 10%+VAT selling to the full £460 total rather than the 60% reduced £184 total. This is a completely immoral stand in my opinion and would be judged fraudulent in most cases. When I called up to complain they said that was their managements final decision on the matter and I couldn't speak to a manager. My complaint call was to a Helene at 12:16 on Thurs 27th Nov 2014.
Viagogo is useless site design to rip you off, charging tickets double price, of original price, enormous commission from each side (buyer/seller), charging more than 7 euro for sending an email, all of that for no service at all. This kind of companies should not be existed, bcs they are not respecting their customers at all. It was my first and last buy indeed.
I purchased 2 tickets to a concert in London which was re-scheduled for next year. Being from a different country attending on an other date is complicated and i tried working it out with the people from viagogo. Their customer service is 0. To each of my message they reply (copy-paste) the same message saying that it's not their problem and that i should sell my tickets on their website... and ofcourse they want to charge me more fees for selling the tickets. So i just lost 171 GBP through their website and they just don't care. Greedy business going on over there and i would not recommend it to anyone. It is just as buying tickets from a conman in front of a stadium.
I could not buy armin van buren's concert tickets on time, so I decided to buy it through viagogo; I paid 400$ a month ago and till now i did not receive my tickets. And when I emailed Viagogo's customer service they replied that I should be more patient and in the end of the day "they are just middle men with no authority to send a certain ticket at a certain time". So my question is why does such website have full authority in paying the second party his money while lacking all authority in guaranteeing the first party to receive his consideration in return. I would not advice anyone to book via viagogo, its unbearably terrible.
Bought my Rolling Stones tickets through Viagogo - ticket price was reasonable and not inflated over the sale price -just the extra processing fees which is reasonable, picking up the tickets was clear and professional and my seats rocked! Yes I'll use and recommend this service again.
The instructions were very clear, great service!
We had an wonderful time in madrid
Bought my ticket for tomorrowWorld2014 through viaGogo.
Even though it was hard to find their phone number, when I called their customer service they were really, really incredible! They helped me even with the copy of the owner's ID that the event requested.
Thank you very much,
Tulio Freitas
Be careful selling your spare tickets on Viagogo, they have (and have used in my case) a loophole in their terms and conditions which allows them to make an arbitrary deduction from your payment WITHOUT consulting you in advance. This was due to an honest mistake on my part in the ticket listing. I was already selling the spare tickets at below cost price and am now nursing even bigger losses.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
