I left a negative review last week and VC replied saying they would be in touch and guess what... nothing absolutely nothing. There service just gets worse and worse.
I have been selling and buying since 2013 on VC now. I never received a counterfeit product, I have always received my money of sold items, they have always replied to me within the week. You have to pay 30% selling costs but that's the case for all the places where you sell luxury items. It is one of the best ways to sell you high-end items, according to me. There are only two things about their policy that I don't like and would want differently:
1) if I buy something, I have to pay immediately. This means I pay a lot of money upfront. Sometimes the seller does not have the item anymore, or for another reason the transaction gets cancelled because the seller does not respond to VC. Then I have to wait for cashback. This can take up to a month, but not longer. But still.
2) they reject my pieces quite often, for reasons that I don't understand. I have amazing Zara pieces that everybody still wants but then VC says the price is too low (of course, it IS ZARA), or the item does not respond to the current demand (which is not true). So getting your things on VC is not that easy, even for really good items.
For what it's worth, don't believe all the nasty comments posted here. Just try buying with VC, just to see for yourself, even if it's a small piece to start off with. The comments here a very brutal and really, I only have good experiences.

I was sold a fake $3000 bag. Their authentication service is a joke as the bag was authenticated by them twice! Thank God I used Pay Pal so after two months I was able to get a refund. FYI: They never even responded to me directly or Pay Pal so I can't imagine what would happen if I purchased directly. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!
Purchased a pair of sandals, two different sizes were listed for the same item. I had failed to notice this mistake. The company refused to take any responsibility. Now, it is my issue.

I do buy and sell for a year from Vestiaire collective and I have %100 positive experience with them.
Sold an item on Vestiaire and was told it didn't pass their quality check. I asked for the item to return back to me for many times, they never respond my emails. After 1 month, I see my item is going back to account and "Waiting for validation" and that's it. It's forever there to wait for valildation and it has been over a month and they DO NOT respond emails at all.

I bought a pair of Chanel flats and it should be a Very Good Condition and never worn, according to the seller. When I received it, it was in terrible condition. White color leather turned to yellowish with dirts. The bottom sole of the shoes were cracked due to age. Stain was also on the side. I got more upset at Vestiaire's In-house Inspection service. How ridiculous they are to pass through this item and sent out to a buyer?

My experience as a seller has been atrocious. First off, if you sell at less than £400, they take 30%, after that it's 25%. Although sellers can set their own prices, they give you a suggested price, which will be ridiculously low, as they just want a quick sale for high commission. If you put your own price, it is identified as seller's [price, so you get a huge disparity in prices and it is impossible to achieve the valid higher price. Their editing is pathetic, they have listed my leather hoody under knitwear, and described it as a biker jacket. Avoid.

Bought a skirt that was supposed to be made of silk, but in fact it was made of acetate and polyester. Lots of loose threads and undone seams. Awful cigarette smell. And this was supposed to be Miu Miu in "very good condition"? How on earth did this pass their quality check? No answer from the customer service. The site is a joke and a scam, will never use it again. Thought it was almost too good to be true - and it was.

I paid for shipping 200 for a jacket I sold with 300 so, what the f. K i was selling the jacket for?! Charity work? They said they don t offer prepaid vouchers in ROMANIA, but not why! Very unprofessional! Never selling anything!

I bought a Fendi bag which was advertised as in good condition, when it arrived the shoulder strap is so worn almost have holes in it, one side strap is missing, none of these was in the bag description or on the photos. VC refuses to do anything. Stay away from them.

Very disappointing clearly sold a fake bag that passed their 'rigorous checks' sent it back with a full detailed list incl photos of the 5+ irregularities of the bag, VC wanted to do a second check! Thankfully paid via PayPal and they refunded me VC never even had courtesy to respond and seller is still active on their site - never again. Buyer beware

Terrible experience. I ordered 3 belts. 1 of them was broken and the other smelled really really bad. In the pictures on vestiairecollective.com the belt was not broken. But when it got here, the belt buckle prong had broken off. The weird part is that the part that was broken off was not in the box. Therefore, they must have broken it off during the inspection process and decided to mail it to me anyways. What the hell?! Why would you do that? It's just sooo rude and evil. The other belt I ordered was listed as made of leather. However, when it arrived I found that it was made of leather and fabric. The fabric smelled soo bad... I just don't understand how a belt can stink so much... And on top of that, they don't allow returns to private sellers. Even if something is wrong with the item! Even Ebay has better customer service then that! Vestiairecollective.com is just so bad. I never buying from them again!

I really don't understand what all the negative reviews are about! Personally I have had no problem with Vestiaire, I have emailed them about an order on a number of occasions and have received replies within a few hours and within a day at the latest. They have been very helpful and my item arrived as described! Maybe I'm just lucky but I would purchase off here again
First order was so smooth thank you VC. I ordered a CL shoes from VC. They received my ordered/cleared my payment on 12/14/2016. Got an email from them on 12/19/2016 saying the seller sent the shoes to them and it will take 3 days to do a quality control. 12/21/2016 got an email again saying my package was shipped and will be delivered on 12/22/2016 AND IT DID! Thanks VC for the smooth transaction. Hope it will keep this way for my future order too.
I have done three transactions that were fine. I have had three bad experiences and will now stop my membership. A jacket that was listed as a large in the search engine and listed as a French size 40, turned out to be a small Italian 40. It was listed incorrectly, but VC offered no assistance. A pair of shoes that the seller never shipped, and then later to find out she had similar complaints on her other past sold items that were never sent to buyers. Why is she allowed to continue and sell? Too much hassle, and my payment to qualify for three shippings is wasted, but I was charged for another three shippings. I see why eBay allows you to rate sellers and buyers.
They mislead the item interpretation. They don't post pict of your item order(making harder to identify your purchases and easier to give up on trying to return due to the hassle)once you find the item by name you call them to explain for a refund they say they process and you will receive an email with the return label. It takes over 10 days to get that label(at least)once you get it and you return it they will send you an email saying that you passed the 14days return policy so they "unfortunately" can not process your return and the item(in my case an old smelly dirty shoe)will be sent back to you! No words! Feel like they stole my money, time, trust on them and runned away, leaving me with hard feelings and ripped off. That was experience with them. Happened few times of all times I purchased from this company. Don't know how they stay in business! Terrible! Never again! Not fair!
Paid for an order, 2 weeks later am still awaiting delivery. The tracking service shows that it's still in France. The customer services team have been terrible - unhelpful and increasingly rude. Was asked to complete an offline form before they would even look into my enquiry, which I explained I was unable to do, but could complete something online. They refused to make any alternative suggestion, but rather threatened to bar my account if I didn't complete their old fashioned, paper based form. Have had to escalate to PayPal to investigate. Never again.
Sold a bag on VC. Needless to say, their normal practive is to pay twice a month, so you have to wait a lot to get paid even if everything goes ok. Oooook.
I sold several items before and the payment was always on my PP on 15th or 30th of the month, same day they are paying to everyone. At some point I became a professional reseller, thus, I changed my personal PP to my business PP (btw, I could not do that in personal account because it kept showing a wheel instead of my bank details and I had to ask techsupport to do this)
When I did not receive anything (and the sum was quite large), I wrote to their tech support. They said the transfer can take up to 3 days. Ok, I waited. After 3 days nothing changed. Whne I contacted them next time, they said the transaction was rejected. I was afraid that their support made a mistake in my PP while they were changing it. So I had to call PP. Guess what wash the problem! Itt is impossible to transfer funds between business accounts! Basically, professional resellers are not allowed on VC.
Well, VC never told me I cannot use my business account so I messaged them the details, ask them to change my PP to my personal account again (cause I still could not see my payment details). They did it and said that I have to wait two more weeks to get paid.
The payment should've been transfered to my account on 11/30/2016. But it wasn't. Messaged their tech support again. They replied after 24 hours that they are waiting an expert advice from one of their teams (?) that reply in 2-3 business days (wtf?).
Will I get paid ever? We are not living in 1980 when 2-3 days were required to solve a customer's problem! VC is awful!

Answer: There are a lot of honest sellers and buyers there (I consider myself one of them) but if anything goes wrong, Vestiaire will do nothing to help, they will spam you with auto replies
