I bought a vacation deal thinking I could choose my travel dates after payment, but there was no option to book anything right away. After they charged my card, I found out there were barely any dates available—pretty much useless. It feels really sneaky, like a bait-and-switch. The booking process was unclear and made me feel scammed. Still waiting to see if I'll get my refund, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
I purchased a sofa. Followed the tracking number and they sent me a pair of support stockings. Now that was a gift for my grand kids. And it came from China.

Paid for the future travel, when time to book hotel, website no longer available. Refund was requested half years ago, credit card provider denied my dispute request, so I searched website if someone actually received a refund or not, then I could find an email (*******@unsold.com)address through FB page to request a refund, contacted, received is within a 3days.
Unsold ceased business using pandemic as an excuse. Collected our money but no refund as promised its been 5 months now since refund was initiated. SCAM

They also called all of the hotels that customers had confirmed bookings with and cancelled the reservations without customer permission and without even informing travellers. unsold.com does not refund travellers for the cancelled reservations and has appeared to keep the money for themselves. Best attempt is a credit card chargeback application for services paid for but undelivered. Awful experience and feels like a scam.
Terrible, their site says that they have gone out of business and they have not had the courtesy to refund me for the vacation that I bought with them for over 400$
I have just found out that unsold.com have ceased business, shut down their website, cancelled all hotel bookings and did not refund any of the money. They didn't even advise the customers that they no longer have bookings. It was either a ponzi scheme/scam/ or very bad business. I was lucky to be one of the last people to actually use the hotel that I paid for.
I was weary of this being a scam, but it is not. I paid the amount for a 5 night stay in Santorini. Immediately I received a link that took me to a page showing me what dates are available and what hotels are available on those dates. Please note that many dates are not available, but if you are flexible on your vacation dates then this is for you. I booked the Thera Mare Resort in Perissa, Santorini and called the Manager there who confirmed my booking. I have just come back from a 5 night stay. The hotel was lovely, the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful. I cant believe I stayed in Santorini for €204 for 5 nights! Highly recommend this site. I have no idea how they make their money as the manager advised me that they charge the travel company much more than what I paid for the room. I will be booking more vacations via unsold.com
Bought a voucher last month. Contacted them this week cause I couldn't login my account. Got an email saying they are having issues with their site and will get back to me. Then another email saying(pretty sun up) we haven't heard from you, guess your request has been solved"

Purchased through Unsold website, but our credit card was charged by BookVIP. Without any notice, our 3 reservations were cancelled and no refund was given. We only found out because we called the hotel directly to confirm before our arrival. The hotel said the reservation was cancelled by our "travel agent" and there was nothing they could do. We then contacted BookVIP, since they charged our card, and the operator essentially stated we were out of luck (and money) because Unsold is no longer in business. Charges are being disputed with or credit card company as I type this.
After logging into and creating an account with unsold.com all of a sudden every so often there's an attempt to take $179 out of my registered account so it's unauthorized and therefore they are making an attempt to steal money so beware although I had yet to book a trip I'm still trying to understand why they're trying to take my money
Bruh my trip got canceled without any notice and I can't contact unsold.com in any way. Website is also down and it doesn't seem like it's coming back up.
I set up an account and started to do research on a trip I have planned. It seemed the prices were far to cheap and on further investigating found out it was all in US Dollars even for Australian Hotels which is far enough as it is an American web page.
I sent several emails regarding my concerns about different subjects and always got a prompt reply. Last week I noticed $79Us came out of my account without any authortization and promply an email was sent from UpSold for the refund of the money. Now 7 days late no money has been refunded into my account and the Web Site is under Construction. Once again I sent an email and received a prompt reply that the ticket item as been solved. Once again no money in my account. I am beginning to wonder what is going on with this company.

This is a scam. We booked a 4-star hotel in Okinawa last June 2021 for a 6-day stay via unsold.com. We called up the hotel a couple of days after reservation to confirm our booking. The hotel confirmed our booking. However, 3 days before the check-in day, we called up the hotel to notify we'd be checking-in late because we will be taking an afternoon flight. But the hotel said our reservation has been cancelled by our travel agency. We were not even notified about the cancellation. And the money was not refunded to us.
Just found our booking for next week was cancelled last week! No contact, Web sites down. Ruined our only break this year, travel arrangements, leave bookings, school arrangements all wasted.
This is a SCAM! I paid Unsold on 9/5/20. I booked my vacation for 8/17/21-8/24/21. I called the hotel (Castle Kamaole Sands) to confirm my reservation, and the hotel stated that my reservation had been canceled on 8/5/21. The hotel staff stated that they have never heard of unsold. The hotel staff stated that my reference number was through hotel beds and provided me with hotel beds contact info. I called hotel beds and received the following information: Hotel Beds is the whole seller, Unsold is the travel agency. The staff at hotel beds stated that hotel beds never received the payment from unsold. Unsold canceled the reservation, stating "the customer requested a refund." I NEVER REQUESTED A REFUND. I booked the plane tickets and rental car, and chose the non-refundable/no changes option. I chose this, because I FIRST booked the room through unsold, and it states that the hotel reservation is non-refundable and no changes to the reservation. I have been trying to contact unsold for over 3 days now; I have not heard back. Their website is "temporarily unavailable." My bank account statement shows that THE MONEY WAS WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT on 9/7/20. NO REFUND HAS BEEN ISSUED. Seeing as how my trip is one week from now, I have no other choice but to book another hotel room. This time I will be going through a WELL-KNOWN site, like expedia or kyak. I hope this review will save someone else from getting scammed. Don't be stupid like me. If it's sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
We had booked with Unsold before and it worked out fine. But now we have a Hawaii package paid for and I have heard they have now shut down. I haven't received any info on what happens to our money now. Frustrating.
This company stole over $600 from me, and cancelled my reservation a month before I was suppose to go to New York and after I purchased my airfare. I had to get airline credit for my airfare. The bank only goes back 3m for chargebacks. I made two of the deal saver purchases back in June 2020. I am so pissed we are in a pandemic and you stole people's money. I will never buy anything that falls out of the 90day chargeback timeframe. If it says you have a year to use I won't be buying it if I don't plan to use it in 90days.
The hotel (Doubletree) was not understanding with honoring nor discounting any part of my stay it was like oh well, go on our site see what we have at standard rates. This is my own fault. I bought three deals from them one was more recent and I was able to get that one as a chargeback. I am still out over $600.
I know others lost more than I did so this was a lesson learned that I guess God felt we all needed it sucks they do this a month before my scheduled vacation. They could have at least honored everyone's reservations for this years rather than cancelling them and not telling us. Only found out because their site was down so long started googling why, and I wrote them no reply. I am so mad.
Again do not buy anything you do not plan to use in the 90days you can file a chargeback. I will be using Southwest Hotels through booking from now on for my hotel needs at least I can earn points towards my next vacation's airfare. I wrote unsold asking for a refund of my other charges but we all well know they are not refunding none of us but I thought I would try. They need to allow us to put this on our taxes as straight losses!
