Super fast shipping

The overall order was easy and fast. I order Him on the 30th and he got here on the 2nd. He got home and was ready to get out of his box. Will definitely order from here again.

DO NOT BUY HERE

My boyfriend and I purchased a bearded dragon who came to us with a respiratory infection and once we got a call back from the vet found out that her uric acid levels were double what they should be and her calcium levels were not right either. We contacted them to resolve this and possibly compensate for the vet bills but was told it was our fault for not contacting them right away about her problems when they say the animal will be healthy and alive on arrival. This place does not take proper care of the animals it has and will not help to resolve any issues with the animals that they have willingly sent out sick. Disgusting place and I would not take store credit to purchase here again.

I purchased a Tegu lizard that is a hybrid created by the owner. But I had immediate problems because the Tegu was refusing to eat and was very lethargic upon arrival. This was my 2nd Tegu so I knew a little bit about them. I would receive communication back about my concerns but was continually told someone would get back to me to help. But I heard this over and over and over again and no one ever called. When I spoke to local experienced reptile owners, they immediately said, you must have purchased your Tegu from Underground Reptiles who they replied was basically a reptile farm trying to sell as much volume as they could. They warned me to stay away but obviously it was too late. There is no question they have the knowledge and inventory but it is also a choice when you decide to sell volume over and above what you can posibly support. Their actions speak louder than their words which means, they don't really care about the health of the repriles they sell once they are paid for and shipped. They may say they do but their actions do not support what they actually believe and say. Now the question becomes, where else are they cutting corners because once you start down that slippery slope, it becomes much easier to continue that direction. As I wrote them on 2 occasions, I will never buy any type of live reptile from them ever again.

Stay away!

Worst experience ever! Frogs listed as being in stock. Ordered and paid - including the $45 overnight shipping. Received confirmation of the order, that it was being processed, notification that a shipping label had been created along with a shipping and delivery date. The day of shipping, got notified they ran out of stock. This has now happened twice - and they don't refund your money or give you priority if/when stock comes in. Fraudulent business practice! Buyer beware! Reporting to BBB!

Dead upon arrival

I ordered one little baby from these guys and he came to us ICE COLD with their so called "heat"pack. I told them that the pack he was sent with, was freezing cold and they tried to tell me it's supposed to absorb any heat/cold. Awful customer service. They keep asking for pictures of the tank set up when we clearly stated that it arrived ICE COLD and DEAD. Please don't buy unless you plan to lose $500 with poor customer service care.

Dead snails and lies

When I ordered the product "Zoo Med Cn O' Snails" I was disgusted that the snails were DEAD! Not only did this ruin my dinner, but it carried massive disappointment to my local homeless friends. Despite this, the snails were of excellent quality and I got a great snack, however when I contacted your company they were saying that the snails were "not fit of human consumption" and "use to fed your pets"… which is interesting because the snails were delicious! Yummy, I will order this product again even if I went through the wrong advertisement.

Nice little racket they have going.

They're advertising says guaranteed live animal. After I purchase they call me and tell me they cannot guarantee to Alaska. So I tell them well I don't want the order then go ahead and cancel. They said they would have to charge me 15% for canceling order. Who wants a dead animal. So with no guarantee they can throw dead animal into the box and say oh well it wasn't guaranteed.

Sold a sick WC cameleon

I purchased a Chameleon not knowing it was Wild Caught. When I wanted to cancel the purchase, they wouldn't let me do it. I did a thorough research to take the best care of this guy. I had a vet appointment and everything, but he only lived for 5 days. I contacted them and all the offereed was a "discount" for a new purchase. I won't be purchasing from them ever again because they clearly don't care for the wellbeing of the animals, only the sales.

Permits and states and ordering a venomous snake

This is my first time going through this company to purchase a snake. I currently own 5.3 pythons and 2 venomous. I've owned these snakes for quite some time with no issues, fast forward to ordering a new rattlesnake, I had been waiting months for them to get their diamond back rattlesnakes back in and when they did I jumped the opportunity, I only wish I would have read the fine print. The store has been professional and very helpful, I want to make it clear I don't blame this business for my mistake. My only complaint about this process is now the knowledge that I need to posses a permit to own a snake? I'm sure this is just standard protocol, I would just suggest that you read everything because their website is very well done and if you pay enough attention, they warn you about possible permits or restrictions. I'm really bummed out I spent a lot of money on getting a safe set up for this guy and now a permit is keeping me from getting it delivered, and from what I read you can't even buy another permit here in Oregon after 2011, which doesn't even specify a rattlesnake as an exotic pet or something you can't own, I literally can't find that anywhere. My state of dwelling and my ignorance is to blame, this company is top notch and offers top notch items. As I mentioned earlier my only complaint was my ignorance to my states laws, which are more than confusing and don't say anywhere that I can't own a rattlesnake if I purchase it and take care of it accordingly and responsibly, I'm confused how I was able to acquire the snakes I have now to be honest. You know, either way, great selection and the people are on top of their business. Hopefully I am able to get this resolved but either way I hold no hard feelings for a situation I should have been aware of, even if it is not specific and does not say I cannot own a rattlesnake. Oregon sucks, this reptile store should be able to sell me a snake if I choose to buy it and it shouldn't be any of Oregon's business. Anyways, if I knew how to acquire these made up permits I would already have one, but no where does it say I need a permit in Oregon to own a rattlesnake. My state sucks, I want to live in Florida. Thanks for working with me guys I hope to hear from you soon.

Still waiting and not very helpful staff.

I wish I could click 0. I purchased an Axolotl, and 1-day shipping which cost $45, on the 17th of August and wanted it to b delivered on the 20th. The day came and went, and I didn't receive my lotl. I called them to ask what the deal was and they said they were out of stock after I had already bought and paid for it. They said beginning of next week they would get some in, so I was willing to wait. The next week came and on that Wednesday I asked where my lotl was and they said they were still out of stock. They said they would get them in either end of that week or beginning of the next, so I waited. Today, the 31st I called and wanted to see if they either had my axolotl or if they'd give me at least a refund so I could go elsewhere. I was told that I could get a refund -15% or in store credit or wait however much longer to get my lotl in. So after trying to argue with them about how I should be able to get a full refund to no avail, I am now still waiting. This is ridiculous and should be illegal for a business to do.

Sick animals

I bought a bearded dragon from underground reptiles and when it arrived it was obviously sick so I submitted an issue report and they gave me instructions on how to care for it and within the first week the lizard died. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT UNDERGROUND REPTILES! To settle they offered a discount on my next purchase. They don't care about the customer satisfaction or the animals they sell. And, I never received a reply to my last message I sent them.

Purchase a pixie frog which was on back order for a couple of weeks which was no problem when it became available I placed the order and I received a frog the next day I paid $45 in shipping for next day delivery. The frog lasted 2 days and died and underground reptiles blamed me saying I didn't have the proper setup which is completely false I've owned this type of frog for over 10 years and I know the setup it's needed and now they will not give me a refund.

Green tree python died
August 21, 2021

Bought a baby biak and it refused to eat and eventually died 10 days later. Bought another one for $50 off smh and I'm having the same issues. I called and asked the receptionist what does it eat and how it's being fed because I was having issues and all she advised was to email them and attach pictures… like okay. I did that and they did reply but then they stopped. The animals are so small I think they are being shipped off too early and the stress is killing them. So I'm here doing my best trying to assist feed hoping it doesn't die on me. If so I guess I'm just out of $750., don't shop with them!

About a year ago I bought my first snake, a baby wild caught ball python. It was my first pet so I was inexperienced. So it showed up fine, and it was really friendly and all around great. This right after unboxing. Later the same day, I saw a regurgitated pinky mouse in the corner of her cage, but because I was inexperienced I didn't know and just thought it was a poop. Now I know. It looked fine which I now think is weird because it should've been at least a little misshapen if it was going through the digestive process *Properly* but it probably got fed right before it got shipped, and the minute she got to my house I was handling her, and for about another 30 minutes to an hour. She seemed fine, but she was always pooping during handling, and it was water-like. A week after I got her, I was trying to feed her a thawed pinky. She would not take it and totally disregarded it, which was weird because it'd been a week, and a baby which was barely a month old would have an appetite. I left her in a big feeding tub for around 30 minutes, came back and she was doing horrible. It was almost like she couldn't move a part of her body so naturally, so I was worried. I picked her up and went back into the living room and was holding her. She was barely breathing and couldn't move her head. I put her back into her cage to see if she was just stressed but she was the same. I took her out and she was dead. My first pet died in my hands. I was the most excited i'd ever been when i got her and the most heartbroken when she died. UGR shouldn't have fed a snake literally right before she left. A couple days later I was ready to try again. My dad called and told them about what happened. They gave us 15 dollar discount on shipping. Seriously. Well, dora's doing great now, a year into it and she's my life. I wish I could say the same about Mocha, though. I'm finding new ticks every day on my current snake. The good thing I can say about ugr is the customer service. The lady on the phone was kind so i'll give it a star and. Just for the record you're making a 12 year old almost cry thinking about their little girl.

They Deserve 10 Stars!... I have had the chance to work with Underground reptiles a couple of times in the past few months. I can't say enough good things about Underground Reptiles and have to say they are a cut above any other Reptile Dealer I have ever dealt with. Drew and Peter are consummate businessmen with a professional approach to the business and in dealing with their customers. Each time I have received animals from them the animals have been healthy and in great shape. Their communication is fantastic with text notifications in regard to the shipment. They call after each shipment to ensure that everything went well and that you are satisfied with the animals (I don't know of any other shop that does that.) These guys are the best, they have an amazing assortment, a great website and even an amazing app. If you have an issue they will work with you to troubleshoot it and find a way to make it so things feel right to you. I have been keeping herps for 40 years and don't know of any other business that does such a great job and really invests in making sure that you are satisfied as their consumer. They have me hooked and I will keep ordering and receiving animals from them. They are just top shelf awesome!

Came in fine isn't eating well

This could just be it settling in (my baby hypo inferno bearded dragon)but it's been at my place for almost a week and is only eating 5 or less crickets in one feeding session (note it would only eat in one feeding session) or won't eat at all and now it's looking a bit Ill. I done my research and been doing everything right but it could just be stressed still. (Even tho it was eating on its first day and has been declining) she's going to the vet this Friday to check for parasites. She's very pretty tho

If you do some research this website is terrible they underfeed their reptiles and keep them in cages much too small I bought a green tree python it ended up dying 10 days later offering nothing but a discount on my next order you can guarantee I won't be a returning customer

I have had many toads and have never had this issue. These poor babies must have a parasite or a inbreeding issue. They are all dying slowly. I have literally done everything possible to try to keep them alive. Its a slow process and its horrible that these poor toads are suffering
