My order including shipping did not reach 300
Which I did not notice that that was thier policy
They within 3 min to let me know about the min. I declined to up the order too 300, then they said they would refund my money minus 15 percent, what a scam the only thing the did was process the card which should be automated. On my receipt it does not say anything about a restock fee, so that scammed 21 dollars from me.
Went with my 12yr old son to buy his first Regal Jumping Spider. They were all very nice, knowledgeable and available for the 100 questions we had. He bought his enclosure, habitat, and his spider about 2 months ago and we are super happy with our new little friend! I would recommend Underground Reptiles they were great!
I ordered a baby northern blue tongue skink from here a few weeks ago and it came with a mite infestation, a respiratory infection, and it pooped a few sticks the length of its own body out. It also had a few damaged scales but that should hopefully go away and it grows.
I have been ordering scorpions off this site for quite some time now, and only one time has there been a time to where there was an issue but I got refunded for it and got a new one later so all is good!
So many different scorpion species uncluding my favorite one (Androctonus Bicolor) wich I couldn't find any other site having and i still have him and a few others to this day!
Hoping one day I'll purchase the reptile I want from them once it's in stock again because i trust them the most.
This company sent me two snakes with previous conditions that caused them to die shortly after receiving them. After I received my first snake, (shown in photo) I realized she had a huge scar on her body and she passed away a few days later. I contacted the company and they reached out to me fairly quickly, and replaced my snake free of charge (even the delivery) which was nice and the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. When I received my replacement snake, I found out she was gravid and I emailed the company this. About a week later, the snake died as well. The company then gave me a credit for the snake, (which was only $20) but I would have to pay the $40 shipping if I wanted to order again. I don't know where they are getting their snakes from (rough geen snake specifically) but it seems like they are wild caught with little to no health inspection/precautions. I was very saddened to have to dispose of 2 snakes, one of which would have been a mom.
First off, the poor chameleon arrived in a bag sick and boney. It's leg was swollen but I thought that was normal. We had "RANGO" for about a month before he sadly died. He never ate a full meal despite much love from my nine year old and I, he was comfortable in his tropical style cage, we did everything right and still feel a loss in our hearts.
We don't expect compensation and don't want a new chameleon- I'm just writing this review as a "buyer beware." God bless you!
I ask the fat dude for 2 medium rats... and he say no problem... I get to the register and I look the rats. Were small. I tell them if this are medium... well he say they are medium small.? IS not medium small rats... this place is a joke...
I've been keeping reptiles for some time now and have never received animals in suck poor condition.
About a year ago I purchased a Female Argentine black and white tegu hatching along with a salcata tortoise hatchling. I live in Alaska and because of this they would not guarantee live arrival or the health of the animals. But, I was fine with it because in the summer here it gets in the high 70's. When my tegu and tortoise arrived they had absolutely no heating once so ever, my tegu was so cold when I opened the pouch she was in, she was on her back. I placed her in her terrarium and she warmed up just fine along with the tortoise. Then I noticed the huge gouge out of her top lip, and the pencil eraser sized mark on her leg, It looked a lot like a burn. I also noticed that she walk on her wrist instead of her hand, my guess is either she broke it before coming to me or it's a birth defect. Even now she still has problems eating due to her jaw being messed up. The tortoise however, was surrendered over to a local reptile rescue. He was doing alright till I realized he had a respiratory disease of some sort and a pretty serious bone issue that made him extremely lethargic. He passed away the day after he was serenaded. All the pedigree, diets, and care on my part is correct. When I confronted UnderGround Reptiles about the conditions they arrived in, they blamed it on the shipping location. UnderGround Reptiles sent me the reptiles unfit for regular sale, they sent me the unhealthy animals they couldn't sell to someone living in their live arrival guaranteed range. What type of breeder keeps bad genetics like this running the species AND continues to make money off of it? I hope no one spends another penny with them. Below are some pictures of my tegu when I receive her, be cautious it's pretty grousome.
Order 3 snapping turtles all came in one container not separated one turtle looked to have been hatched a few days before shipping to me it died in less then 24 hours 72 hours turtle 2 died and in just over a week the last one has died.
I recently bought a golden gecko from underground reptiles and was nervous but when i got to my house it alive and healthy and now i'm think about buying a albino leopard gecko from there
Sent me an injured leopard gecko and I notified them immediately. They didn't respond until a couple days later. They blew me off saying the injury happened in transit. This likely wasn't the case because the wound was old. More likely animal abuse.
The reptile we ordered arrived fine and seems healthy. We then had an issue with another order, and received absolutely horrible customer service- to the point I will NEVER shop with them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. EVER.
My mother had won a blue tarantula on auction from 100 to 40 and was super excited to receive it. Only when it came, it was incredibly dead. Two days of customer service and nothing was offered and my mother was told she was out of luck. This interaction she had one time with this company has made me never want to do business with this company and I shall be telling everyone.
I don't take pleasure in writing/giving poor reviews. That being said, if I can help others stay clear from the way I was treated then I feel like I must. I purchased a gecko from this company and while it arrived alive, it died not shortly after. I paid a little over $70 for this critter and took care of this critter to the best of my ability (and I own many other exotics) and asked if there was an option to replace it without breaking the bank and losing another $70 WITH the possibility of it just happening again. They essentially said something along the lines of: "Sorry for your loss, here is $5 take it or leave it." I'm sorry but this is a really bad way of treating customers (especially someone that was willing to repurchase). I told them about my dissatisfaction and they shrugged it off and said "you are entitled to $5." If you want to throw your money in a slot machine in terms of satisfaction, then this is the place, but I would much rather go elsewhere to an exotic pet company that is empathetic and actually cares about customer satisfaction.
I ordered a rainbow Jackson chameleon came in sick die two days after Arrival and then the ladies gonna talk about a discount $#*! the discount I want my chameleon back Sale sick animals do not buy repeat do not buy
As a turtle enthusiast, I would like to say that Underground Reptiles is the place for you and your reptiles needs. The online department is friendly and courteous. Can't say enough about the great way I was treated. Matt took my order and took the time to answer all my questions beyond all expectations. I was lucky enough to visit the actual store last month in Deerfield, Fl and even though it was near closing they took time for me and no rushing. WOW! I enjoy the mud/musk turtles because of their size and they had plenty plus a great selection of other turtles. The sunsets are beautiful there. After the sun does go down, go treat yourself to a new pet turtle or other reptile (the selection is amazing) and enjoy. Underground Reptiles Rocks. David
Couple broken hearts and hundreds of dollars later we are still snakeless. The first one was a baby as ordered but no one around here would sell us eggs for its size even though they said they could before the baby got here-not this company's fault. But in under 48hrs this baby died. So, I called to make sure we got an adult so it could eat eggs that we could get (I went to reptile store out here and got them). But when the snake came it too was a baby and was not able to eat the button quail eggs. It also died less then 48hrs out. These snakes should be able to go 7-14 days before eating another meal depending on age. This place is also super high priced! Just the snake alone was $74 (we won't go into the other fees) but you could get the same breed, not wild caught, for $30. Please, please, please do your do diligence and research, call around, look for shows in your area, and be patient.
On the flip side, great customer service. Really enjoyed working with the manager who was always on top of things and friendly. Good luck finding your exotic pet- make sure you have an exotic vet that can care for them.
First time ordering turtles with them everything went down smooth turtles showed up alive and healthy thanks guys keep up the good work
When I was looking to get a baby turtle I was very unsure if this site and any other. I wanted to make sure to get a healthy animal and keep it safe while shipping. This place was great and I got my turtle exactly as expected and he is so wonderful. If you're worried about this then go with underground reptiles. I promise it'll be great!
