I booked a hotel to my gf in Colombia 2 days prior, i call the hotel the same they of arrival and hotel never answered the phone, then i called Trip customer services this took me like 1.5 hours and asked them to make sure the hotel was open. They couldt reaci the hotel. And they told me to wait for my gf to arrived there and check if the hotel was open jajajaja and then i had to send them a picture of the hotel close to get my refund. Also they offer a extra amount for the inconvenience, after 5 days without getting any email or call, I decided to send them an email and they answered me that my bank charged back the payment, so they cant 1. Refunded me 2. Compensate me as i was promised. I never called my bank for a charged back and of course that never happened. Now i called them and now i have to wait for another review of the team. Never never in my life i recommend this people! Are terrible!

Tried to book a flight via trip.com and I got a call from them that the ticket can't be issued because of an unpaid flight from last year! I tried to book a flight with them last year but my card was rejected and I never got the ticket. They seriously now wanted to make me pay for a ticket they never issued a year ago! This business is fraud so please stay away!
These people booked our flight to Vietnam and when the travel ban and quarantine happened for Covid, they refused to give us back a penny. No service was provided to us for more than $1,000. They stole our money. They are thieves.
My flights got cancelled due to covid-19. Tried for 5 long months to get my refund but to no avail. They don't seem interested to help me whatsoever. They just reply to say that they have contacted the airlines and waiting for their reply many times. Travellers beware!
I bought tickets from Zurich to Lisbon and return one for 180 CHF 2 days before departure. Regular price on other booking sites and Tap Portugal site was above 750 CH. I didn't have any problem with online checking and already received my boarding card. At the beginning i was skeptical afer reading these reviews an seeing huge difference in tickets price. But the winning ratio was so tempting i could loose 180 chf but win 570 chf so i gave a shot and don't regret. Still can't believe how lucky i was and looking forward to see UEFA Champions League final and to have nice weekend in Lisbon
I booked a trip for a week, ended up staying several months, the secluded woodie area was wonderfull, lots of small wildlife, staff and management were awsome. Rooms are clean and cleaned daily.
Booked a hotel reservation trip.com took the payment when I got to the hotel I was shown that they had not paid the reservation so I had to pay for it again
Trip.com's hotel prices appear to be lower in comparison. However, buyer beware. Once you finalize the payment they will sneak in an added "tax" although it's not tax. It's much higher. My room was advertised at $90nt. I booked for 2nts. I was charged almost $225. CA hotel tax is 14% so the total should have been about $205. When I called to ask why I was charged another $20 the call center which is contracted outside of the US, tells me it's for an accommodation fee, blah blah fee, rip you off under your nose & hope you don't notice fee. None of these extra fees are mentioned during your booking or check out! Offered no apology, or refund for their deception. A supervisor was supposed to call me back in 15min. Never happened. Shady company in my opinion. I won't use them again.
I wish I had read the reviews about this company before booking, they are money hungry, I called and cancelled my room in the right amount of time, now they are saying I can not get a refund. Because the 3rd party is responsible for saying yeah or Na on giving redfunds. They told me not to stay at the hotel if I want my refund, so I didn't, now they offering me 10% of $500 to satisfy my request instead giving me a full refund. They are scam artists, they keep blaming everyone, but they are actually in charge of refunding the money. Do not go thru them to save a few dollars it's not worth it.
This is the worst experience I had in my life. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere and there was people injecting themselves right outside of the hotel. In addition, there were homeless living right in the parking lot of the hotel. When I called the customer service they supposedly called the manager of the hotel to refund my money. Since the owner refused to give me my money back. I ended up not getting credit or a refund. I was really scared to spend the night at Quality Inn & Suites Minden Us-395 because i didn't feel safe for family and myself. I seriously think they should have returned my money.
Trip.com gets a 1-star rate because I cannot rate the company lower. Trip.com deserves a minus 50.
I have been waiting for the refund of my plane ticket for 4 MONTHS now. Trip.com sent me 2 emails confirming my refund had been accepted. I called a couple of times too and several agents confirmed it was being processed. About a month ago, Trip.com emailed to advise the airline policy has changed and they can't refund me. I called and I was advised a manager will get in touch. She emailed me advising me to wait in a poorly writing manner. I waited a month and half but I didn't receive any news. Today, I called and found out that I had a credit. The first agent said that it was expired. I had to insist to speak with the manager. After 5 min of arguing, the manager took the call and told me that I have a store credit but she didn't provide any details. BIG FAT LIE! I called the airline, the company changed the policy from credit to CASH REFUND 1 MONTH AND HALF AGO. She also advised that trip.com should have provided me with all the details. She explained to me how trip.com should go about submitting my refund request. I called back trip.com, I could not talk to the manager so I had to explain to that agent how to proceed. I am now waiting for the manager's reply.
Piece of advice:
1- DON'T TRUST TRIP.COM.
They won't tell you about the credit or refund policy. I have the feeling that they keep clients confused to retain the money from the airline as much as they can
2- CHECK BY YOURSELF TGE AIELINE POLICY. You can call and the airline will give you the information you need
3- NEVER BOOK ANYTHING ON TRIP.COM (again)
We will never use trip.com for buying tickets again! The worst experience in my life! We supposed to left New Zealand on Saturday 25th July and we discover on the airport that our flight from Queenstown to Sydney is not operating for 3 months already! We called trip.com and they were not able to sort this out so we had to go and find accommodation. We spent hours on phone calling them a dealing with no results! Today is Monday and we still dont know for sure when and if we are leaving New Zealand. On the top of that nobody cares that we have to pay for a hotel and other additional costs. The only answer I get on phone is that supervisors are working on our case but I am not able to speak to any of these supervisors or get information. I am fed up with waiting and my patience is over after 2,5 days of getting nowhere! Also when I asked for supervisor the last time I was told they are having lunch break for 3 hours! Like seriously 3 hours?! No wonder that we are waiting for so long! Never ever again. Very dissapointed!
I have used trip.com during the last month. They were very easy to work with and very accomodating when I had to make a change in my reservation. I would recommend them highly.
BA cancelled my return flight end of Natch because of Trip.com. Trip didn't know how to request for a refund blaming. They even kept telling me the flight wasn't cancelled! I called BA myself and had to inform Trip about the process (fill in request form online). This was in April. Niw I'm stll waiting for the money. Trip only sends emails they can pay me 38. Insteaf of the 500-600 I'm entitled to! Don't use Trip. Com. They're incompetent and will cost you a lot of money.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I highly discourage you to use them! They are unprofessional and STEAL your money. We cancelled our tickets mid March for already disproportional administration fees. After being left with the refund amount which would just about cover the price of one ticket we have not seen ANY MONEY. Since months we have been following up with emails and were told that the approved refund would take 10 days, 14 days, 30 days, 90 days, more days and more days. Then, after almost 3 months it turned into "we are waiting for the refund from the Airline" only to receive after almost 4 months an email refusing to refund a regularly cancelled ticket and leaving us to figure out directly with the AIRLINE (!) with whom we have no direct contract and no claim or anything. So now we are left with no refund and, to demonstrate what degree of SCAM we are talking here, not even a voucher. Just an email pretending that they can't authorize the refund (of an already successfully cancelled and authorized refund request!). This is just to show you that they are UTTERLY not trustworthy. Other users on this site have been saying that the Airlines have told them that Trip.com had been refunded already but they are obviously not passing the money on to their clients but sending dubious emails refusing to pay. It seems this platform is cashing in from the Airlines and not passing on your refund. They steal your money! They are not trustworthy. Don't use them!
Please don't use this site. They could not help with cancelling or modifying my trip that I just booked 5 mins ago. Now I have to pay double the price. Worst site ever!
Do not book with Trip.com! This Is the absolute worst site to Book any travel through! I booked a room June 29,2020 to a Hotel outside of Atlanta to only realize a few minutes later that the booking was in the wrong Hotel. I Called their customer service and immediately tried to cancel the room. I was told that my request would be sent to the review board and see if they could refund my money back to Discover. On July 8th I saw the charge on my card and called them back to see why. I was told ooh Sorry, so sorry we can not refund your money. I said why. And he told me that they decided it was non refundable. An absolute waste of time talking to that person. All he kept saying is Oh sorry! I will NEVER book anything with them again! If I could give zero stars I would! Save your time and book with a reputable company that works with their customers and wants repeat business. I travel a lot, this was the first time using them and the last.
Cancelled the ticket because of the COVID 19 then when i tried to reschedule they wanted 400 $ fees nothing but a bunch thieves
90 days i've been told to wait. Its been 90days... Where is my refund. This is my money and I've patiently waited and i've had enough. You're not the only ones going through this tough. Email after email, I've been told to wait 90days... And I still haven't received my refund.
Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
