Trip.com caught my eye while I was planning my trip to China with a friend. I chose to book our flights, hotels and train tickets on trip.com, I was amazed by how easy is it to use and how much rewards I have received. I have been using trip.com to plan my holidays ever since and have never had any problems!
Booked a return flight to Sydney with Jetstar for a day to attend a family funeral.
5 minutes before boarding time on the flight back, it was cancelled and it wouldn't allow me to book alternative flight. Rang Trip.com and spoke to someone who was very helpful and was told I could be on the next flight to Brisbane but need to do it at checkin counter. Was told at Jetstar counter its no longer available so either wait the next day or take flight to Gold Coast which we did as we needed to get home to our dog because there is no one else to look after him. Took us 3 hours to get home what would normally only take 15 minutes from Brisbane airport.

Compared prices on a website for flight Singapore to Melbourne, presuming the prices were all in Australian dollars for each airline.
Chose the most competitive flight being one on Trip.com and booked our flight.
Only realised on checking my bank entry that the price I paid was in Singapore currency, not Australian currency as presumed like the other airlines.
My receipt showed S$505.40 but I failed to notice the S in front of the dollar sign presuming it was Australian dollars like the other prices until I checked my bank details and worked out the discrepancy with the $600.88 entry.
Not an honest, level playing field I believe - disillusioned!

Was Charged International Taxation Fees & Booking fees, Was over $33, I have an NAB Platinum Card where I pay fees per month for it, To Exclude International Tax fees or ATM fees, And Charging me $15 booking fee for the Flight, Should be Ashamed of yourselves Ripping people Off doing that, Supposed to bean Honourable Website to look after people, Instead You Extort Extra monies on Top of there fares and False Advertise on Skyscanner! Booked for two penang to manila( 2 legs pen kk and kk man). At kk i had buy another ticket so trip let me down. Tried chat to find out what they did but agent obfuscated. Will say only i only book wife kk to manila but won't say facts about pen to kk. Deliberately let time expire ANNOYING. I dont want gold platinum $#*!. I want proper service only. Comd back Kiwi.

Searching for flights on a Chinese airline website was a bit clunky and slow. It was easy and quick on Trip.com. After flights were booked some hotels were suggested that I hadn't considered. Got a very upmarket hotel room in Xian for the same price as a moderate room from a major hotel chain.

I booked a flight from. Vancouver to Edmonton/ Edmonton to Vancouver. When they sent my tickets it was not Vancouver but it was Abbotsford (2 hours plus with traffic from each other). When I saw this I contacted them right away! They would not change anything! And told me that Vancouver is Abbotsford! I spent hours explaining to them that they are not the same! No one cared and now I have a return flight for a funeral that I can't use.

Flight cancelled at around 22:00. Next available wasn't available. The next suggested was in late afternoon. It all was happening overnight, the voicemail left was impossible to understand. Hoping to get a full refund as was put in a situation to buy very expensive last minute flights to be on time for the meeting.

I booked a flight and paid for baggage and then get a late email saying that my baggage was not accepted after The date to cancel passed essentially leaving me to go on the trip without my bags or forfeit the round trip plane ticket that I paid for because I will not have any clothes to wear for a week. There is no room to add my luggage not from what the airline agent told me.

I had purchased a flight ticket from SOC TO IXM last month, this 20 oct they mailed your flight is cancelled and without my knowledge they proceed they cancelled my complete journey. Not only that they looted my money. They used fake mobile /HP number *******245 and *******031 ( scam numbers used by a member in trip.com) and looted my money to their account. Purposefully I was cheated by this biggest scammers. If anyone want more proof I will attach. Don't trust trip.com

Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
