I had a bit of a problem with my bank and the refund from trip.com was initiated at the same time my bank account was closed. In order to expedite the refund process, Allen suggested to credit my account with trip coins, which is a solution I prefer since I have been using their platform for years
Used Trip.com to book flight tickets and hotels. The platform is easy to use and when coupled with Shopback offers, Trip.com's prices are attractive. The follow up emails that confirm my bookings are detailed and helpful too.

I recently booked a multi-segment trip on Trip.com, and while the website offers the Smooth Transfer Guarantee, I have some concerns regarding self-transfer flights. When I booked, I relied on the guarantee, but after reading multiple negative reviews online, I am worried about potential issues.
It would be helpful if Trip.com could clearly highlight the risks associated with self-transfer flights during the search process. For example, the system should prioritize through-connection (联程) flights and explicitly indicate when a flight is a self-transfer and what the potential risks are.
The current Smooth Transfer Guarantee is reassuring in theory, but it seems that there may be many limitations and conditions. I believe these should be stated more clearly and transparently upfront, so customers know exactly what to expect.
Ultimately, my hope is that if any issues arise during the trip, Trip.com can provide efficient and reliable customer service, similar to Ctrip in China, that truly compensates passengers for delays or missed connections, instead of finding excuses to avoid responsibility.
Improving clarity around self-transfer flights and ensuring the guarantee works as promised would make customers feel much safer booking complex itineraries.

I've been ripped off by trip.com in the last 9 years from hotal booking to airline tickets always expensive than other app especially my recent booking from Bangkok to Jakarta charge me $27 Australian dollar extra

I booked tickets for two for the first time from Melbourne to Adelaide and per person the flight price was charged AUD 106 on a weekday and I was happy but I wanted to book another ticket from the same website same flight same day with cancellation facility enabled so tried to book separately but suddenly the same flight cost started reflecting AUD 140 and additional cost of AUD 9 for cancellation facility additionally. I was surprised to see this sudden price increase for a same-day, same-time booking within 5 minutes for the next ticket on the same website. It felt very weird, and, hence, reporting. I finally booked another ticket for the same flight from a different website because the price was unreasonably high.

I have been using trip for booking flights and hotels for two years. With comparative pricing, trip is always valuable and I feel safe to book it on its site. Before and during the trip, there is notification of reminders and gate information, so it's easy to follow.
Other services we have used include internet wifi card and airport pickup, rental car, are awesome!
Accommodation booking is great value after booking flights.

Room for Improvement in car rental experience. Final cost at car rental counter is always higher at the huge gap, since optional items are not option there. User must pay addition to cover insurance, pickup/leaving location fee, flexibility of selectable car in the same range. The counter staff keep telling me that they can give me more if i book with them directly. How to reflect this situation upfront.

While it is relatively easy to use your app, I fail to understand why my tickets (twice now) were issued as two separate tickets for two legs of the same trip. Because they are issued under two separate locator codes, that requires me to pick up my luggage at the end of the first flight, re-check-in and go through security again. This is unacceptable. On top of that, I can't stand the flood of marketing notifications that ensue when I turn on notifications to receive info about my booking. And when I open the app to get rid of the notifications I can't even find the notification. Aggravating.

Hotels & flights were easy to look up but:
1. When I trued to book a special price flight for my hubby and me, it only allowed 1 person at that price 😳
2. Hotel rooms with no windows? So weird - made me feel I might be trapped in a mouse box. Maybe not sell them for western countries like Australia, NZ, UK, Etc? Cos we all like views hence windows needed
3. I filtered using "washing machine" but I still saw hotels without washers come up. Maybe check the filtering tool?
But overall, trip.com has been good to use. I am still learning - am a new user. Thank you for your hard work 🙏🏽

Overall trips is convenient easy and good value. Finding and purchase is easy works well. I like ongoing follow up and messages from trips about real time travel reports. Flight details and reminders. A little trouble contacting my transfer taxi at arrival. My advice is be fully aware of how it works before departure. But it's all there.

Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
