I had purchased my ticket for travel from USA to INDIA. The ticket was non-refundable. I had a change in my plan. Ellen worked hard to get me the refund back. I have called Travelopod when I had solid flight to Amsterdam, I was offered a ticket beating the cost of what I found online. I was asked to stay on the phone, via link enter my credit card information and than send and OK email. I thank was told this is a reputable company, I have confirmed reservation, I can check it and call Lufthans. E-Ticket will be issued between 3-24 hours. I called back in 24 hours I was told everything is fine " Michael Clark", reservation solid, its just the weekend. I called back on Monday and being told 2x by other agent all is fine and I should get tickets soon. I called back and Michael Clark tells me my reservation is cancelled, the cost is no longer what I have agreed to... even though he assured me the previous 3 days everything is fine and all confirmed sir, I promise you. I talk to the supervisor and blames the airlines and a system glitch for the reason my reservation that is suppose to keep my flight with a certain cost (remember Jerry Seinfeld rental car episode?) I am told this will be resolved in 24 hours, in 30 minutes its. Been 24 hours, nobody called. I phoned Travelop again, Michael Clark is busy with other customers, supervisor is bust assisting other customers... so to sum up... I have made a reservation, I was promised everything is fine, I dont have a ticket and now I cant go because the cost is no longer there what I originally would have chosen over TraveloPod. Anyone out there, please dont use this service, its fake, scam and dishonest.

Excellent customer service from Rachel Abraham. She was very helpful in getting the travel arrangements that I needed. She found the itinerary that fit my needs; I told her that I needed to talk to my husband and would call her the next day, there was no pressure. Ms. Abraham called me promptly the next day! Travelopod is one of the few Tavel agencies out there that provide excellent support. The agent I worked with was very patient and was able to help us out during a medical emergency.
May the ease of use of their payment system could improve but with the service they provide I don't have any complaints

I am always greeted by a person, not a machine. They know exactly who I am when I call, my previous call issues, and are able to resolve and answer questions very effectively. I will definitely be doing business with them again, even if they are not the cheapest ticket offerings around. I haven't travelled yet so I hope my travels go well. I see many 1 star reviews, it would be nice if Travelopod would reply to them and let all of us know both sides of the story, which there always is.

FRAUD. Dont book with them. They charge huge Agent Fees which they dont mention to us and say it is a airline charge instead

You called our helpline as you were unable to book the tickets on our website.

Our officer booked the ticket for you with the fare of USD 1884 which you agreed to pay and also sent us the written approval for the same.

Total fare charged from your form of payment is $1884. At times total fare can be split into few different components rather than one single charge. One of those components could be specified as airline fees/agent fee. This was informed to you bu our officer at the time of reservation and agreed upon.

Scam booking agent

I have booked tickets from CVG to MAA and return from MAA to CVG. While going it was smooth but while coming instead of CVG they have booked tickets to LGA. I have asked this question to customer care person while booking tickets itself they said its promotional offer so you dont need to worry you may or may not use that LGA option.On the arrival i have not able to collect my baggage. Delta Supervisor mentioned you have booked tickets to LGA and you have to collect your baggage at LGA only. I have traveled with 1 year infant i have waited almost 4 hours in airport to cleanup this mess. Travelopod got a cheap ticket price to CVG by booking tickets to LGA instead of CVG and asked passengers to skip the LGA from CVG. Its been three days already still i am waiting for my baggage. Travelopod offered 50$ Compensation for this mess up. I am thinking of screwing this company legally.

Our travel officer asked you about your visa status. You said that you are holding valid and stamped US visa.
When you called back after realising that you cannot travel via Europe, our team gave you a different itinerary for which you had to pay the fare difference.
So you decided to take a transit visa for travelling via Europe.

This is my sincere review, which has happened to me, I had horrible experience booking ticket thru Travelopod. I had booked ticket and due to sudden changes in my trip plan, I had called the Travelopod customer Service to cancel my ticket before 24 hours of booking. They are not ready to cancel the ticket, and after lengthy discussion, finally, they agreed to deduct 100 $ from the paid amount. All the travel booking sites will have the option to cancel ticket within 24 hours and refunding back total amount. Dont trust this agents and site. There are many sites to book you Air tickets, Just Prefer Expedia or Cheopair. But never ever book ticket and become scapegoat like me. Dont trust Travelopod, Dont fall in agent trap.

After our investigation, we would like to bring to your attention to the following facts:

Most of our airline tickets are 100% non-refundable. In certain cases where the airline may allow cancellations, a credit may be valid towards a future ticket purchase by the same traveler on the same airline. Each ticket booked with any travel agency has its different fare rules and each travel agency has to follow fare rules as they are.

Post booking, due to change of plans, you had to cancel your ticket. As per cancellation policy stated on our website all the tickets purchased from TravelOPod can be canceled for no fee within 3 hours or for a fee within 12 hours of your booking your reservation. You had called us after 3 hours of booking of your reservation and that was the reason we had to charge a cancellation penalty from you. Our resolution expert had called you and offered you a discount coupon of $50 towards the purchase of your future travel that you declined to accept.

Please accept our sincerest apology for any trouble or inconvenience caused to you. Again, we highly appreciate your feedback as it will assist us in becoming better at what we do.

Shady crooks

I purchased 4 tickets to London from this people cuz they were able to give me a good price. After I received the final charges I found out that they charged me $20 extra. It took an to hour to make the representative understand that they charge me extra. For some reason I think she was doing it on purpose. Then I finally got in touch with a supervisor and explain my situation he said that he was going to reverse the xtra charge in about 5 business days. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting. Then last night I got 5 charges on my credit card from some car services and other venues while I was sleeping. And let me tell you why I'm so certain that these people sold my credit card info to scammers because this was a brand new card and they are the only people I ever used the card with. So people please be careful with this people. I only saved about $50.00 on my transaction with this people but look how much trouble I'm going through right now. It's not worth it. I wish I could give the a zero.

Book flight for 3 of us goin to vegas on Wed 3/15/17 from Den leaving on follow wed and coming back fri... got this email right after booking, called and asked where my tickets were to be found? Was told not to worry in a very bad call center which was from India cause I ask where he was from. Today Thursday I get a call after noon that they were not able to honor the tickets but I could get seats for additional cost would I like to rebook... Really? I asked to speak to a manger/supervisor was told he would call me back in 2hrs... I then ask why? As big a co as u r you mean to tell me you have NO manger on the floor... well he will call you back in two hrs... where are my tickets? Well still waiting on that call back n I have called 5 times... run away as fast as u can... true story ~!

I recently booked a flight to Europe. I initially spoke with Hazel, who was great - really worked to find me the best fare at the best price. However, I wasn't ready to book at the time, so called back and got another rep a few days lair. I had to go online and research flights while I was on the phone with him, as he said he couldn't find any flights that would match my travel plans. I wound up booking with him and later found out I had to pay for "advanced seating" in addition to airfare on both legs of my return flight. I called to speak with both the rep and his manager, as I was upset with the unexpected cost and would have preferred to have known at the time of booking. Each said they would look into it and call me, but never heard from either of them.

I would use the service again, as they do have good fares, but the moral of the story is be sure to ask if there are any additional costs before you finalize your booking.

ADDENDUM:

I received several calls from Travelpod after posting my review. I was eventually offered, and received, a $25 check to compensate for the unexpected charges of for reserving a seat on my return flight. (Total cost for booking in advance is approximately $50 - for two legs of the flight.)

If you have a problem with your flight, and have difficulty addressing it, be sure to include it in your review, and Travelpod will likely contact you to resolve it.
