Do not believe what the salesperson tells you you probably will end up with something you don't want!
Hi Randy,
We’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy — that’s never our goal.
We do want to clarify that our team provides information based on the product listings and growing guidelines available at the time of purchase. If there was confusion, it’s important for us to understand exactly what was said versus what was ordered so we can review it accurately.
We don’t intentionally provide incorrect information, and we certainly don’t want anyone ending up with something they didn’t intend to purchase. In many cases, misunderstandings involve mature size, growth rate, dormancy stage, or zone suitability.
Please email us at [email protected]
with your order number and a summary of what information you believe was incorrect. We’re happy to review the communication and see what can be clarified.
We value transparency and want to ensure details are accurate for every customer. 🌿
Prev roots on wild ginger came very dry soaked plant planted and didn t get any growth. Going to try again and bought warranty this time.
Hi there,
Thank you for giving Wild Ginger another try — we truly want you to have success with it this season.
Wild Ginger (especially European Ginger) ships dormant and bare root, and the roots can appear dry upon arrival. That is normal for dormant stock. Soaking before planting is correct, but consistent moisture afterward is critical. Wild Ginger prefers rich, well-drained soil and steady shade. If soil dries out too much in the first several weeks, new growth can fail to emerge even if the root was viable at planting.
We’re glad you added the warranty this time for added peace of mind. Once planted, keep the soil evenly moist (not soggy) and be patient — it can be slower to break dormancy compared to other perennials.
If you’d like planting depth or care guidance, feel free to email [email protected]. We’re happy to help you get it established successfully this time. 🌿
I bought several items last year and can barely remember what they were except I do know that the tall phloxes did not grow out of the dirt. I remember calling and was told to wait a little longer which I did and called back and they wanted a photo and I felt I was having to give up my sole to get them replaced and was tired of messing with the issue, however im helping plan my grandaughters fall wedding and she requested having delpheniums to possibly give out to some of the weddinf party. My budget doesn't allow to spend $30-$40 for large plants so im going this rout. Please send the best and thankyou-Frank
Hi Frank,
First, thank you for giving us another opportunity — especially for something as meaningful as your granddaughter’s wedding. That’s special, and we truly want this order to go well for you.
Bare root perennials like Tall Phlox and Delphiniums ship dormant and often appear very small at arrival. In their first season, much of the plant’s energy goes into root establishment rather than visible top growth. If phlox did not emerge, that would typically indicate planting depth, drainage issues, or inconsistent moisture during the early rooting period. When we ask for photos, it isn’t to make things difficult — it’s simply the only way we can verify condition and process a replacement under policy.
We absolutely understand budget considerations, which is why many customers choose us for the Buy One Get One Free value.
We will send strong, viable dormant plants ready to establish. If you have any questions when they arrive, please reach out to [email protected]
right away so we can guide you. We want them to thrive beautifully for that fall celebration. 🌿
I've ordered several plants from TN nursery and all have done very well, will continue ordering from them especially because of the amazing prices.
Thank you so much!
Could not use first time $5 off coupon. Code was sent to E-mail and I was not aware of that till after purchase and found the code had been delivered there when I reviewed my order.
Thank you so much!
This is my third purchase. I really like the price and the shipping speed. I am excited to see how they do in spring. Fingers crossed that I planted the right.
Thank you so much!
Three bare root plants were sent, not the twofer expected. All three looked good, had no trouble finding a home for the extras. Still waiting for the persimmon tree to leaf out. Seeing some bud swell in late February so should be soon.
Thank you so much!
I purchased large quantity of moss to apply between pavers. Didn't do as well as I would have hoped, but I may not have used enough good soil and packed it down as much as I should have.
Thank you so much!
My first order with you grew fine the first year but the 2nd year they both died off. Had a hard freeze so I think that's why
Hi, thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re glad your first order arrived in great condition and performed well that first year. Hard freezes can unfortunately impact even established plants, depending on variety and local conditions.
We truly appreciate your feedback — we work very hard for our 5-star reviews and for every customer’s success. If you feel your overall experience reflects that, we would be grateful if you’d consider updating your rating.
If you ever need guidance on cold hardiness or winter protection, feel free to email [email protected].

South Central LA with 4 acres of generational hybrid Pine trees that have wrought havoc on my soil. Among other trees and bushes we added two Paw Paw Trees. They did well until I wasn't here to baby them. One died the other is alive and thriving. These were quality trees, just my neglect was the problem, Ordering more today.
Thank you so much!
Prompt service, good with replacing plants if dead after a year. Usually healthy growth with seedlings, if cared for properly. I am a native plant enthusiast, so that's what I always look for on their site. Often buy in bulk from them for habitat restoration purposes. Have used both live stakes, and seedlings. Viability and growth depends mainlu upon species and planters' placement.
Thank you so much!
My weeping willows came in good shape and on time. Unfortunately one of the 2 doors because of drought. Which is not the nurseries fault. The other is thriving. I planted them in front of my pond.
Thank you so much!
We ordered white pine trees (3-4 ft) and red maple trees (3-4 ft). The maples took well, but the white pines did not survive. The trees came with clear instructions which we followed. All of the maples survived the year, but the pines did not. TN Nursery stood by their products and we will be planting new white pines this spring.
Thank you so much!
Several times over the years i have ordered a few perennials from your company. Very, very poor/unsatisfactory condition when I received them. I am hopeful these dogwood trees I've just ordered will arrive in EXCELLENT condition!
Hi Katherine,
First, thank you for giving us another chance — that truly means more than you know. We never take repeat customers lightly, especially when past experiences weren’t what they should have been.
Perennials ship dormant and bare root, which can make them appear small or underwhelming at first arrival. That said, they should always be viable and healthy at the root level. If yours arrived in poor condition previously, that’s something we would have wanted the opportunity to review within the arrival window.
Your dogwood trees will ship fresh and in dormancy, carefully packaged to protect the roots during transit. Our goal is always for trees to arrive strong, viable, and ready to establish successfully.
We sincerely hope this order restores your confidence. If you have any concerns when they arrive, please reach out to [email protected]
right away so we can assist you promptly. We truly appreciate the opportunity to serve you again. 🌿
Love the BOGO deals! Prices are very reasonable!
I have order in the past year, Black Walnuts, & Mimosa trees, all tree arrived with great root growth! & quality looking trees.
Thank you so much!
Only problem I had was trying to find out what varieties were in the 25 apple tree deal. I understand that what's included will depend on availability, I wouldn't want to plant 25 trees that had already dropped their fruit before deer season started
Other than that I got some apple trees I wanted and they showed up quick and look great
Thank you so much! I fixed the apple trees!
Hard to find trees I was looking for. Found good deals on some pears I needed. Always like to do business with tn folks.
I've ordered bare root plants from them, they ship promptly. I placed an order late last fall slated to ship this spring and as soon as I contacted them for a timeline they offered to ship it right out even though its not spring yet where they are located.
Thank you so much!
Not received my orders yet. I have placed two orders and have yet to receive either one as I chose to delay shipment until March. I will write a full review at that time.
Thank you so much!
